Hello guys,
I have been using these AOSP based custom ROMs and also the EU ROMs on RN7Pro, Whenever I try to send some images on any social media app like Whatsapp etc, it shows the image and on clicking the image it is not the same, there's this thumbnail mismatch. Even the gallery app gives this mismatch.
Please Help !!

Bro u r facing really weird problems. Lol!!! Try deleting the folder .Thumbnails from file manager u may find it in miui folder. Also try clearing cache of gallery app.

I manually cleared all the thumbnails in DCIM folder and Pictures folder, it solved the problem for me, you should try the same even if there are some images in the SD card, clear the thumbnails there too, this will solve the problem for you !!

After flashing a lot of roms, all of a sudden, photo editor in HTC gallery app doesn't work anymore.
It doesn't work in any sense rom!! It only works in Aosp roms.
Any one knows what's going on??

I had the same problem. What fixed it for me was to go to the DCIM folder, which is your picture folder, and delete the .thumbnails folder. Reboot the phone and try it. It should then work.

Try to clear data cache for the app ... Else reinstall the app.. Ur problem should b solved

tried both methods. didnt work
ok i fixed it by clearing data on gallery and media storage
Then say mods to clear the thread!

This has been happening lately with me as well. Downloading the latest apk from the whatsapp website as opposed to the playstore seemed to fix it.

well its happening for me again. not sure if this is whatsapp's problem and hopefully next releases fixes this. do you use a file cleaning app? i think it might have something to do with it like cleaning up the thumbnails. not sure though
i am facing this strange problem...i flashed a new rom..rom booted but my gallery and music player shows no file found ..but when i click a new pic it shows in gallery...pls help me with a solution.... thanx in advance..

I have a quick solution if your phone is rooted. Just delete Gallery and music app from system/app and use Quickpic (best gallery app in play store) and Poweramp (popular Android music player).

I got the same problem too... whenever i flash roms from here of 4.2.2, photos wont show in the gallery app and as well as music files in the music app won't how also..... its like SD card is swapped to phone storage i guess
I've installed MIUI V5 Rom on my Lenovo A850 and now stock gallery and Lenovo SEEit gallery only show new taken pictures and all videos, but I can't see OLD PICTURES stored on SD card in both of galleries. Anyway, when I use QuickPic gallery there is no such problem. With QuickPic everything looks fine.
Anyone?

Try to delete cache and data of gallery and reboot your device and check if the photos come!

Still the same, no help. Gallery works great on stock Lenovo or Vibe rom. I have this problem only with MIUI V5 Rom. There is no problem when I use QuickPic app.

So,I think it's a bug in the MIUI Rom Gallery,as all others are working great.

AFTER LATEST UPDATE CYANOGEN OS VERSION 12.1-YOG4PAS1N0 WITH ANDROID VERSION 5.1.1...MY WHATS APP IMAGES AND VIDEOS ARE NOT UPDATING IN GALLERY. THOUGH PICs CAPTURED BY CAMERA IS GETTING UPDATED IN REALTIME.. but not whats app images n videos.
i already tried moving out the files n then copying it again to their folders and also UNISTALLING N INSTALLING.
please guyz..help me out
Check if there is .nomedia file present anywhere inside whatsapp folder and delete it

i already checked that.. and it was not present....
please suggest some other solution bro...
Delete the folder, let the app recreate the folder then check if the gallery reads it
