I've installed MIUI V5 Rom on my Lenovo A850 and now stock gallery and Lenovo SEEit gallery only show new taken pictures and all videos, but I can't see OLD PICTURES stored on SD card in both of galleries. Anyway, when I use QuickPic gallery there is no such problem. With QuickPic everything looks fine.

Pls. Try using the app called rescan media root , when ur rooted...

Try to delete cache and data of gallery and reboot your device and check if the photos come!

Still the same, no help. Gallery works great on stock Lenovo or Vibe rom. I have this problem only with MIUI V5 Rom. There is no problem when I use QuickPic app.

So,I think it's a bug in the MIUI Rom Gallery,as all others are working great.

I have a Galaxy S2 which was running resurrection remix 3.1.3 and I updated it to the newest version which is 4.0.4(ROM version) but since doing this I have an issue with the camera and cannot find an exact cause and was hoping someone could help.
What happens is that the camera app will open but the screen will be black, I can see the camera controls but the screen is black, and if I leave it or close the app the message appears about gallery not responding. I can replicate the issue quite easily, as long as the camera is listed in the recent apps list the fault will occur but will always run fine when I remove it from this list.
I have tried clearing the gallery and camera data/cache, i have also cleared dalvic and cache and also done a wipe data/reset via CWM as well as reflashing the ROM. The ROM has not be modified by me, it is as supplied by the ROM creator.
Does anyone know the cause of this? I am unable to ask this in the ROM forums as I am a new member.

maybe this is the bug in custom rom...
you should try other camara/gallery apps like snap camara...it combines camara app and gallery app...and if you are advance user then you should change the default app...

It doesn't happen in other ROMs so clearly it must be but was hoping to find a way to fix it, instead of working around it as the camera app otherwise works fine. I have never heard of snap camera, how does it compare to other camera apps?

Try removing wipe data of the gallery by using titanium backup.. may help..

I have a quick solution if your phone is rooted. Just delete Gallery and music app from system/app and use Quickpic (best gallery app in play store) and Poweramp (popular Android music player).

I got the same problem too... whenever i flash roms from here of 4.2.2, photos wont show in the gallery app and as well as music files in the music app won't how also..... its like SD card is swapped to phone storage i guess

I'm having the same problem for quite some time. Ended up using quickpic and poweramp. Works great and better than stock apps.

I dont know if this is a normal issue for now on this build but ive searched everywhere and i didnt find any related info on this.everything on this rom works perfectly except the stock camera flash doesnt work properly.sometimes it flashes when taking pictures or recording videos but most of the time it doesnt, even with the flash set to always on.this is the only problem i have with this rom and ive tried google camera,same thing happens.so im not sure if this is normal for now or if there is something i can do to fix this.ive already tried reflashing and done all the formatting processes so...i need help..

mean while i have also faced this issue,u have to use a google camera app( jellybean modded it works better for me) and also u can try camera ultimate 360...:good:

I have been using these AOSP based custom ROMs and also the EU ROMs on RN7Pro, Whenever I try to send some images on any social media app like Whatsapp etc, it shows the image and on clicking the image it is not the same, there's this thumbnail mismatch. Even the gallery app gives this mismatch.
Please Help !!

Bro u r facing really weird problems. Lol!!! Try deleting the folder .Thumbnails from file manager u may find it in miui folder. Also try clearing cache of gallery app.

I manually cleared all the thumbnails in DCIM folder and Pictures folder, it solved the problem for me, you should try the same even if there are some images in the SD card, clear the thumbnails there too, this will solve the problem for you !!
