I am waiting for my Mi Mix 3 to arrive.
As you know the phone does not natively support EIS with 4K which is a shame really.
So I am tempted to root the device in order to install the 4K EIS mod.
It's been 6 years at least since I have rooted a smartphone. I understand that together with an unlocked bootloader, some security features such as mobile banking will be lost.
Can I root the device, install the mod, and then unroot? Can an unlocked bootloader be locked again?
If so, will I be losing anything after reverting?
Thanks.
I have a problem.
(Mi mix 3)
When i installed the ArrowOs from twrp and make a safe wipe the ArrowOs doesnt boot. Just stuck on MIX blinking.

Hi guys.
Ive got mi mix2s with latest xiaomi.eu and cant pay by my phone (cant even configure my card in google pay as it says my phone cant be used for payments due to firmware modification etc.
Just to explain I have a clean installation of xiaomi.eu rom developer (always the latest)
My wife with her xiaomi mi mix 2 doesnt have that problem (also with the latest xiaomi.eu for her model).
What should i check/do to pay bu my phone? Thanks
Google has new bootloader unlock detection that seems to be affecting people almost at random. Currently there is no fix or workaround, so if it's important to you then flash back to official stock rom and lock bootloader again.

Then i downgraded the system to miui 9 then it was adking xiaomi cloud lock (FRP).. Then i go to repairing shop to solve this problem.. Now the phone is running on miui10 with unlock bootloader.. When i will update it manually it will do the same as above mentioned.. Now i want custom recovery installation.. But i am afraid if it is not successful it will again a system destruction... Follow the instructions installing twrp here
https://twrp.me/xiaomi/xiaomimimix2s.html
After that...installing a custom rom to your liking, should be easy
What will happen after unsuccessful flash?

It al depends what you are flashing. But if you can get to twrp still (recovery mode, hardware buttons power and volume up at the same time at startup), you can flash whatever you want
Hey all,
I am almost done with my waiting time for unlocking the bootloader. I am not sure if I should be flashing Xiaomi.eu or not. My aim from this is that I want to remove everything from MIUI that track and harvest data. I do not care if I continue to have MIUI or move to any other ROM.
Anyway, I noticed that my Mi 10 Ultra keeps running the following apps:
- Analytics.
- GetApps.
- Mi Browser.
- AI Call Assistant (what is that? Why do I need a call assitant?)
- NetworkLocation (What is that? Is it collecting any data?)
I have already stopped all the permission and uninstalled all the updates of those apps from the settings. They still manage to download themselves on my stock ROM and continue to function!
Anyway, I did not find any ROM to install other than Xiaomi.eu to be honest. But, it still has Analytics. But, they gave it a different name. The only good thing is that they claim that they have removed all bloats and they decreased the data collection to its minimum.
Moving on, I have tried ([ADB DEBLOAT] MIUI 12.0.8 List). I did not filter ones I want to remove. I just removed everything mentioned. My phone showed a loading screen which says Just a Sec. I waited for a while and then restarted the phone because, it did not move anywhere from there. So, I have decided to restart and... My phone was locked. It was locked for a day and then I was able to unlock it after I did a hard reset.
I do not want to go through that again. So, I am waiting for my bootloader to unlock before doing anything to my device.
So, here are my questions:
1- Is there no Custom Rom that is compatible with Mi 10 Ultra other than Xiaomi.eu? What are my options here?
2- If I installed Xiaomi.eu. What are things that I should be removing? And do I have to sign in to Mi account again after unlocking the bootloader?
Thanks in advance,

I think currently there are no custom ROM for Mi 10 Ultra yet, only official china rom and EU rom atm.
I am running the 20.9.24 weekly EU rom currently, the rom removed almost all china exclusive app (mi wallet and etc). You probably do not need to remove anything. Yes, you need to login to MI account again.

Thank you. But, what if I did not login to Mi Account again?

It'll be fine. You can choose NOT to login to Mi Account after installing EU ROM.
Hi, i have not rroted my Mi note 10, but after a factory reset the phone now says im rooted/jailbroken.
This is secure banking apps and ID-apps.
Everything else works.
Root checker says i have no root, and Mi safety scan says all ok.
MIUI 13.0.1 stable (13.0.1.0 RFDEUXM)
Android: 11 RKQ1.200826.002
I tried to unlock the bootloader by following this guide: https://www.hardreset.info/devices/...-pro/faq/faq/xiaomi-bootloader-unlock-miui10/
Then Xiaomi said I had to wait 72hours. It seems like the apps think i'm rooted already, although only the waiting time has passed.
(I have not unlocked bootloader yet, nor installed any rom)
What should I do?
Heeeelp
Unlocking The Bootloader is enough of the Banking and other high profile apps to stop working on a phone in my personal experience.
