I have read through a lot of threads but haven't reached a conclusion yet. So, anyone who uses Android Auto, can you please confirm which custom ROMs currently support Android Auto? I have read that Paranoid Android supports it, but what's the point of having a custom ROM which is updated less frequently than OxygenOS itself?

Im coming from the s3 . im just getting this phone now and wanted to see what roms to flash. whats the difference on original android and regular android roms? because on the s3 regular android roms were TW(TouchWiz) based and Original roms were Asop or Aokp based roms. So since this is a pure android phone why the two different categories?
So far i'm happy with stock rom/kernel + root/twrp + Xposed modules.
I feel it's a tad too early for custom rom/kernel if you aim at rock solid stability.

Daniel

Because Nexus 5 stock is still very different from AOSP.
Also, non-original also includes unofficial cm etc.

Please would you mind using search before posting? Asked and answered numerous times in the nexus 5 forum already

Sorry if i'm posting in the wrong place, but i just have to ask something. When Android M will be out, because it has fingerprint support too, will some developers be able to built a stable stock android rom for the GS6? Or is it just a dream?
Thanks!
Because Android M has native support for fingerprint you expect somebody to build stock android rom for the S6? The two things don't correlate AT ALL. And yes, there will be some AOSP roms for sure, based on Android M.

Dear forum,
What can I put on a Huawei Honor 4x Che2-L11 that is currently running Android 6.0 ?
I would prefer to install CM, but there is no version for the Ch2-L11, not even a development version. I found two custom ROMs online, and tried one of them. It would have been fine except that the SIM cards were not working, because these ROMs were made with an older firmware version. (Read more about this issue by searching for MoDaCo custom rom Che2-L11.)
Can anybody recommend either (A) a way to install CM on a Che2-L11, maybe point me to some developer community where there is already work done on that front, or (B) a place where I can find custom ROMs for the Che2-L11?
For the time being, I will be exploring the Honor 4x and its capabilities, while reading your forum to look for advice. I'll certainly try installing the Ubuntu on-top-of Android, which I assume has a similar function and usefulness as cygwin in Windows.

Do a google search for:
"Custom ROMs for (your model number)"
If that doesn't give you any results then nothing exists for you phone, in that case, you'll have to build a custom ROM for yourself or port a custom ROM from a similar device to work with yours.

Hi everybody,
I recently got an S6 edge in my hands and wanted to flash Lineage OS (as I'm already familiar to it). I found this site:
https://www.los-legacy.de/
Does anybody know if the ROM developpers are known and if the ROMs are as safe and secure as the official builds were? I would really appreciate an experience report as I am still very insecure about those ROMs.

all custom roms here have three big bugs and that's echo on call, bad camera and battery drain so if use daily then stay on stock rom or use stock based like marduck or ultimate nougat 3.1 is great too which is based on port from s8

Hi becho, thanks for your information. I wasn't aware that the echo on call bug is in every custom ROM - thats a good advice for me. I'll go for a stock based ROM as you suggested.

My roms are safe because they are created with a private key and not with a test key from lineageos.
The builds I currently use are all MicroG builds.
For s6 I don't give support anymore as I don't own the device anymore.
For normal Rom you will find here
Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge Unified Development
For unified AOSP type ROMs, kernels and mods., suitable for multiple S6 / S6 Edge versions
forum.xda-developers.com
And yes look at my xda profile there you will find all my builds that I have published.
Hi guys,
I know lots of people would have asked this question but the answers are older than 5 months so maybe some of the things may have changed.
I am currently on the stock android 12 but looking to move to a Custom ROM that is ideally stable and if there are OTA updates that would be amazing.
I use this phone as my primary so I'd be using my banking apps and all here as well.
