Hello friends,
with every android phone company specify that the mobile is upgradable or not .
so does it mean company will not provide its upgradable rom or there is a hardware dependency by which we can not upgrade it and can we create upgradable version of custom rom which is not specify by the company
Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone can help me out or have experience with chinese branded phones
I was in China recently and I decided to get myself a phone. I should of bought a well known brand but I didn't think it would be difficult to root it and install a fresh rom so everything is in english. So far I have managed to change the language setting to english but the browser remains in Chinese.
What I want to do is install a fresh andriod rom similiar to the Galaxy S5 look and feel
If anyone can help me, I would be most grateful :

Hi
Unfortunately no , the applications are to be installed on devices based on android sdk / API level , you need to have a certain android version for certain applications
I'm having HTC Desire 626G+, Running DOT OS 1.1 (Android 7.1.2).
And i'm looking for Oreo (8.0) roms for my device or my chip set (MT6592).
But i'm unable to find one, so i'm going to port a rom for myself!
And i want to know one thing...
Are there any tutorials regarding porting Android of higher version (8.0) to a device having a lower Android version (7.1.2).
All I need is, does the normal 'porting' method applies for the above or not. If not, please suggest me a tutorial.
Thanks in advance!!!

Hey, all so just for some context I have on me a Samsung Tab 4 - SM-T230NU
That I been trying to find a ROM for so that I can upgrade the Android OS on it.
Unfortunately, I am finding that is a no go, there are no ROMs at least that I can find for it that newer then Kitkat
So now I am asking
Is it possible on a rooted Android Device to run apps strictly made for newer versions of Android?
Thank you for your time
