Installing Shield Tablet system image on non-shield devices - Shield Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey everyone,
I have a Samsung tablet that I don't use that much and I was wondering if I can flash an Nvidia Shield Tablet system image on it. The reason is to be able to access Nvidia exclusive android games from the play store. I tried stuff like device faker etc... But they don't seem to work.
Thanks for having a look.

Simple, no.

Not advisable. You will probably brick your tablet worst case and best case have to factory restore your tablet.

[Q] Witstech tablet, wont install certain apps properly.

Hi Guys,
New on here.
I have a Witstech A81G 2.2 capacitive tablet.
I am finding that increasingly some market applications will not install, or install but will not work correctly. I am sure this is due to Device Certification, the latest to go was Wyse Pocket Cloud after an update, and it wont work,as it previously did, but it does work on my HTC wildfire, same OS. I think that google may be adding certification in the market. I have also been trying to download navionics marine charts which will on my wildfire but are not available for the tablet.
Is there any way around this device certification, is it possible to make the device appear as if it is a certified device??
Any help appreciated, and I will be very grateful.
Cheers
Steve

[Q] Kindle Fire Utility - Help/ can't access from PC

I'm not sure if anyone had this situation, but I've been trying to install Android and got stuck.
I was able to install TWRP through Kindle Fire Utility v.0.9.
I Wiped the system so that I can install Android "tryforsdcard"
But I noticed that I unzipped it prior to moving it over to Kindle.
I don't have update.zip in the SD card to go back to factory setting.
On Kindle Fire Utility, it says
ADB Status: ONLINE
ADB Rooted: YES
Boot Status: 5001
I can't go back to Bootmode Normal, it'll just stop.
I know if I can go into Kindle and load update.zip/tryforsdcard then I can install either of the OS, but can't get in from PC. on Device settings it is recognizing as Android ADB Interface, and on my Comp it shows Removable Disk(D, where I used to be able to have access, in transparent gray...
I appreciate your help!!
Since this topic is about the Kindle Fire, does anyone know if it can access the Android market or is it limited to Amazon's Android App Store?
I considered making a Kindle Fire purchase for playing my Android games on. But there are some that were bought through the Android market. If the Kindle Fire doesn't access the Android market, I wouldn't be able to use my Android market apps and games on it.
If it doesn't I'll look into an iPad or Android tablet. I have a majority of the same games from Android on iOS. Getting an iPad would allow me to play the games I usually play on Android. Getting an Android tablet would also let me play all of them that I have between the Amazon App store and Android market.

I think if you root it, you can. Once rooted, you install the market.apk on it.

Actually the Play store is designed to suit all android phones and tablets in this world so dont need to worry. The play store present in your tablet is designed for tablets only.

Heartstone (tablet) on my phone.

Hi,
I just read that the Hearstone game is available on Android Tablets.
In the past i tricked my phone in showing play store that it was a tablet.
Now ive also read that Hearstone wants to have a 6 inch screen.
Is there any way i can trick my phone so it makes Google Play think im on a Note for example?
Or any other way to make it work on my phone?
Thanks!

Prevent Play Store app from updating.

So my problem is I want to keep the 7.84 version of the Play Store but everyone I restart my tablet it tries to update itself. I want to keep it from doing this. I've tried different things I saw online but nope seem effective. Anyone know how to do this? I am rooted on 5.3 Nvidia OS. Shield K1
