32 or 64 bit - Samsung Galaxy A30s Questions & Answers

Hi all. I recently purchased a A30S FN version. And was wondering. This is not a premium phone I know. But does it by chance have a 64 bit system or is it like the j600f that is 32bit. J6 Was my previous phone? Cpu-z /droid info app shows arm8 64 bit kernel.? What would one root this phone. I rooted my J6. But this seems like it's okay. Better then J6. Has a scroll capture screenshot. J6 did not. After rooting with custom ROM it had. What are advantages of rooting this. Just asking.
And is the A30S better then J600F? Or not really. Thx for your time

NEW ROM?
Good stuff, I found it out too before seeing this. If I had seen this post before, I didn't have to be as worried as I was when i was trying to root it.
I was wondering, since this is a Galaxy S3 clone, is it possible to use a SGS3 JB ROM in this box with minor tweaks? I have no hope that the company would release a JB ROM anytime soon, because not even the Chinese guys who made the tab provide a JB ROM. If I have other AUXUS X4 users to collaborate I will be happy to help out.
I don't think it will be too difficult to do a port of Cyanogen or something to this platform since the core part of the code is already there.
Cheers!

This is my version of it, Galaxy S3 has a small display compared to a Tablet and the ROM would be more customized for potrait view so resolution, camera, display type could be some of the issues.
The first step would be to get a working CWM, I have been trying for two days to get a CWM to work on this but all methods have failed so far as it seems the bootloader is locked and the commads don't work much.
The closest match from samsung family to our device would be Galaxy Note 10.1 and it already has officical JB for UK so that can be used but again resolution and Camera won't match and that might need a little effort as the display and camrea hardware is different.
we might get lucky if some dev already has this tablet and can help us

Yes you can do it but , it was going to take long time , and you can also port it on any S3 lollipop rom and , if S6 firmware is marshmallow then use any marshmallow rom for S3 and try to port :good:
Hello, S6 or S7 lock screen can be ported to use on 9300?
Is "slide to unlock" case, the lower left corner to add "telephone" icon?
I know this is difficult, but could you tell me you will modify the s3 lock screen?

NO, you can't simply port the ROM. The damn S6 has, to begin with, a bigger screen resolution, so the UI would look weird AF. Second, the kernel can only be compiled by Samsung from THEIR own sources. And third, the most important aspect, i9300 has 1 GB of RAM. The closest device and the most suited would be the i9305.
CASE CLOSED. Please research before posting.

Yes I know everything about S6 and everybody knows here that it has bigger screen resolution and it also has big UI so we have to make it possible to fit in our S3 and second everyone knows that we have to do some changes in kernel also and S3 has 1 GB ram so I want to tell you that we are not trying to flash S6 rom on S3 okay so don't take any kind of tension because, everyone here test his rom perfectly before posting
And please forgive me if I have used bad words in this reply , After all we all are one community
Cheers
And sorry for my bad english :good:
THANKS

Porting TouchWIz ROM's is possible but chances are nil unless the source ROM is from a Qualcomm Samsung device or it has a related Exynos device with same specs. Also due to the lack of proper source code and other info’s so porting can be a very hard job on Exynos, unlike Qualcomm devices it will be easy as cake due to some other Qualcomm devices shared the same RAM, processor and resolution and its dev-friendly nature.
What of the other exynos device s like the mega 2 ?

What is the difference between the Exynos 4412 and the 4415,all I know is they have a different clock speed but is that the only difference?
It's still possible to port mega 2 rom to note 2 but that would take a while or months to complete but it's still worth it tho.

Wow, u mean to say that youve (potentially)achieved root for the Snapdragon galaxy s9+, running One UI? If this pans out I can honestly say you've made my week, possibly month! Lmk via PM/EMAIL If u need any experienced 'Rooters' to test this method out.... :good:
Edited to add: why does it say ROM OS 2.3 Gingerbread???
This would be the BEST THING EVER !!!!
Ppl are dumb? This as already ben posted on s9 forum, root can be made only flashing klabit kernel until now magisk cant root alone
So... how exactly did you do this? This is for the Snapdragon 845 version of the S9+, right?

Are you all realizing that's only for the SM-G9650, which indeed have a Snapdragon but it's unlockable?
explain
you made a thread that how to root smg9650 that's s9 plus snapdragon variant.....but theres no explanation and files that u used to root....plz tell step by step (try to make a YouTube video or post screenshots ) that how to root...coz many like me are very new to root also theres so much confusion because of so many model numbers....i wish if there was a pre-rooted rom that i could flash with Odin simply....i only can dream lol ....noone is explaining here ?

So you compiled a kernel and installed it? Thats all you need to do. There is code in the 9650 pie kernel that will panic the kernel if you try to run a binary under a uid <1000 that is on a filesystem that isnt system, odm, vendor, or root. Recompile a 100% stock kernel with CONFIG_RKP_NS_PROT off and it will work fine
What's the status on this?? It just kinda went silent. Is this an actual working way of rooting?

A

sorry for posting this on a wrong thread but i dont know where to post, if someone can redirect me i would appreciate it.
I got my hands on a Qualcomm reference device with a Snap dragon865 its called kona for Arm64 and i want to know if there's someone who could help me out. It has android 10 and has an unlocked bootloader but thar version of android acts weird and drains alot of battery and i can't factory reset the device to check if it fixes the problem so im looking into installing something like android 12 but have no idea if this is possible. I have almost no experience in installing custom recovery or flashing roms but i can definitely follow up instructions if flashing rom is possible.
Don't know if a device needs to have specific Roms developed for it or if there's a generic ROM for any device, etc. Hope someone can help me out
yes that is a samsung galaxy tab s7 oplus wi-fi the iink to latest firware the hardware has 2 downsides it has only 8gb of ram on 256 gb nand space and just 3 video cores so it is defenetly not a gaming setup the battery is quite well but y diont care about such if it cam keep at max performance 8 houst is ok is true that de device camed preinstalled with android 11 but you wont have a better configurationcause even on android 13 you will have the same kernel s if you want latzest features youz will have to compile it on your own for example if you want a 6.x kernel supporting latest koodies

Well, it looks like Lineage OS has one here. It's based off Android 12.1.
I use Lineage OS myself.
What Android version are you on now?
