SAMSUNG GALAXY S6 (SM-G920I) stuck at Logo, Error: dm-verity verification failed. - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Every One!!!
It looks like many other issues, but the problem is My phone stucks at Samsung logo and I am not able to connect to Odin ( installed latest Samsung USB Drivers - didn't worked, Neither connected to Samsung smart Switch). so cant flash anything....giving error at recovery screen: dm-verity verification failed.
Update from ADB, external storage is disabled.....wiped data/ cache, factory reset didn't worked.
Can go to "download mode" and to Android system Recovery but cant connect to pc.......
When its turned of, connect to pc, it starts charging,,, but when on downloading mode, connect to pc, pc does not make a sound like something has been connected to it...or even on removing no sound, nothing.
PLEASE HELP!!
DETAILS:
My Phone: Samsung Galaxy S6 (SM-G920I)
Software Version: Android 5.1.1
The phone gets stuck at the Samsung logo and has to be reset using power + volume down + volume up
- I then try wiping the cache partition (multiple times) – does not solve the problem
- I then try a factory reset/cache partition wipe (multiple times) – does not solve the problem.
My Android System Recovery screen shows at the bottom:
dm verity verification failed
AND
Odin Mode:
- Product Name: SM-G920I
• Current Binary: Custom
• System Status: Custom
• Reactivation Lock: OFF
• Secure Download: Enabled
• KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 1
• RP SWREV: B:3 K:2 S:2
I downloaded “SM-G920I_G920IDVU4FRC3_G920IZTO4FRC1_ZTO_7.0_(by_firmwarefile.com).zip” to flash from Odin, but MY phone is not able to connect to pc, nor with ODIN, NOR with ADB, Nor with Smart switch, nor as simple removable drive…… I think its USB debugging is not turned on as well as I have never connected this device to pc.
From recovery screen,
Apply update from ADB……..show its Disabled
Apply update from external storage…..show its Disabled
Apply update from cache……..deprecated
Reboot to bootloader……..does nothing, system starts to boot normally and stucks at Samsung logo
Took it to mobile shops, they returned saying that they are not able to connect it to pc..
Please advise, what options are available……….very grateful……thanks and regards.
P.S. My phone shows at the back SM-G920P……..while inside at Android system recovery its, “LMY47K.G920IDVU3DOJ6 and on Odin Mode is ; SM-G920I,,,,,,,,,which firmware should I use to flash. Thanks and regards

Seems you flashed an unsigned system image or similar to trigger dm-verity like that. Your best option would be to try to set the device in EDL (Qualcomm HS-USB 9008) mode and reflash from there (assuming you already know how to do so) there is a good amount of info on Google and XDA to guide you through. The S6 should have a programmer file to flash as your SBL to reflash the stock firmware

If you need to create the rawprogram0 and patch0 files I have custom tools I can share to help you create that as well as your firmware to flash. You will need a programmer though and it can be a difficult process for a user who is beginner with it

@Imtiaz Shah
The 1st thing of all things an Android phone owner should do is turn USB Debugging on: then life becomes easier.
So by means of ADB you can manage Android kernel's dm-verity feature
To disable
Code:
adb devices
adb disable-verity
To enable
Code:
adb devices
adb enable-verity
Is working fine on userdebug builds.

I think in his case he is on a production build which disables this feature. At least as far as I can see
And yes that's the first thing you should do I do agree

Yes Bro. I missed the trick . But this time I think I am really stuck as I was not wise enough to enable USB debugging in advance. I've been trying to connect the phone with multiple laptops, after installing Samsung USB drivers, but the Laptops are not even making a single sound that something has been connected. Nor showing unknown device, I mean just nothing. I am having a hard time to connect my phone with the laptop. even the guys sitiing at the mobile shop returned the phone after two days by saying that they are not able to connect the phone with the PC.
So, at the moment, on the Android System Recovery Screen, there is a error "dm-verity Verified Failed" and when I try "Apply update from ADB" system says "Disabled",,, "Apply update from external source" system says "Disabled",,,,,,"Apply update from cache",,system says,, "deprecated", when I try "Reboot to boot loader",,,nothing happens and phone starts normally and stuck at logo AND I am not able to connect my device with the phone (which seems to be the main problem). Is it something that my phone has gone into some kind of security lock ??? I am able to access the recovery mode as well as download load mode in the phone but nothing happens afterwards..

I have instaled QDLoader HS-USB Drivers and tried connecting my device through Qcom_EMCP_Multi-Port_Software but result invain....

I am a Noob and have no idea about " the rawprogram0 and patch0 files ". I am certainly looking for a soultion to solve my issue but have no idea how much I can bother you on this...... but in either I am really thankful for your sincere offer and really grateful to you. My Heartiest Regards ...

This includes links to the tools you will need and a link to create the proper files. I don't take any credit for these what so ever
The S6 download the lastest firmware and ensure you have the GPT file (it will have a specific name) to use because it will be needed

[Completed] Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime+(SM-G532F) rooted and locked after disabling OEM unlocking

Hey guys, I'm new here...
Well yesterday my dad bought me a Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime+ SM-G532F (vodafone, South Africa).
I wanted to root it( i always used to use KingoRoot) but i found a thread with an exploit to root the SM-G532F/M/G or something like that. Anyways i used it and flashed the "root-boot.tar" and followed all the steps( Enabled OEM unlocking and usb debugging) and i had root access and everything was perfect.
Then i thought i didn't need the OEM unlocking and the usb debugging anymore so i disabled both. Then afterwards i rebooted my phone( Because i had just installed Magisk so i could play pokemon go on a jailbroken device and it required a reboot.).
As it restarted, I got this message on a light blue screen( i don't think it even booted), "Security Error: This phone has been flashed with unauthorised software & is locked. Call your mobile operator for additional support. Please note that repair/return for this issue may have additional cost."
I think this is because of disabling the OEM unlocking. I tried flashing a stock ROM(it was really small though, but am downloading a 1.5Gb one right now) using odin while in download mode( The phone doesn't have a recovery menu to wipe/factory reset. It goes straight to download mode) and it appears that the custom binary (boot.img) is being blocked by the FRP lock.
Here is what appears when i go into recovery(well download mode):
ODIN MODE (HIGH SPEED)
PRODUCT NAME: SM-G532F
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
FRP LOCK: ON
WARRANTY VOID: 0x1 (0x302)
MTK SECURE BOOT: ENABLE
AP SWREV: B1 K0 S0
SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE
I can't use ADB because it doesn't even appear if i try "adb devices" it is completely blank. But in odin it shows 0:[COM4]. Is this because my usb debugging is disabled? Can i flash with odin if usb debugging is disabled? If not, is there a way to enable usb debugging with the phone only in download mode( As in no ADB recovery or updating from sd card etc).
Please help. I really need to fix this. Even if i lose everything on the phone it's fine since i only got it yesterday.

Greetings and welcome to assist. FRP lock shouldn't prevent you flashing stock rom, the easiest way to restore your device should be with kies/smart switch and using the emergency firmware recovery option

Bricked phone

Hi. I had rooted Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F) then I switch off all of Programming Options (including Enable OEM unlock and Debugging USB) and restarted phone. I got "custom binary blocked by frp lock" red message and I couldn't run system. Then I wanted to install clear firmware, I downloaded one and tried to install by Odin. After 5 hours with 95% bar status I restarted my phone. Now I get "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software". Is this end of my phone? Please help.. (sorry for my english)

Hi
No there is hope still...
How did you root your phone?
Explain what happen with odin , what files did you use and how you flashed.
Options
1 Smart switch you could use it and try to restore firmware
2 Download a different firmware and try to flash with odin again
3 Flash TWRP , root again , flash a custom rom , set OEm unlock , usb debbuging and now try to flash a stock rom again
For root I downloaded Odin and "CF-Auto-Root-herolte-heroltexx-smg930f.tar.md5". Then I switched phone to Download Mode and load AP in Odin, Then clicked start.
After that phone works great, I had root permissions. But then I switched off "Enable OEM unlock" and "Debugging USB" and restarted phone. Then when I tried to start system I could see "custom binary blocked by frp lock" message. I downloaded "AP_G930FXXU1DQB3_CL10422490_QB12410562_REV00_user_low_ship_meta.tar.md5", switched phone to Download Mode and loaded AP in Odin. The progress stopped at 90-99% for few hours, so I switch phone off and unplugged cable. After that I got "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software". Now I can do nothing. Only switch to Download Mode. I used Smart Switch but after putting Model Name and Serial Number and downloading files, I always get error.
/// I use Odin and CSC option (and load "HOME_CSC_OXX_G930FOXX1DQA1_CL10357061_QB12200735_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5"). Now I'm in Recovery Menu and can see recovery menu and "E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument )".

Hi
Go to Sammobile and select the firmware according your country ( not necessary , any one will do)
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-s7/SM-G930F/
Use AP , BL CP and CSC ( not home_csc)
when using CSC follow this instructions (step 6)
https://www.sammobile.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30800
this will format all partitions
also as a guide check this thread
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/how-to/official-stock-firmware-update-odin-t3369431
If any error copy Odins log and show us
If this does not work try what i said , TWRP-root-custom rom then back to stock
Ok, I will follow that, but I have to wait becouse downloading from sammobile.com is slow. Please tell me how to turn off phone. I can't do that. When I choose Power off in Android Recovery, the phone restarts. I also tried to click power button for ten seconds, but without reaction.
Under options like "reboot system now", ....., "run graphics test", "power off", I can see:
"No support SINGLE-SKU
Supported API: 3
dm-verity error...
E:failed to mount /system (Invalid argument)"
/// Ok, I should unplug usb cable. Now I can turn off device.
The problem has been solved! I followed your advices (first way) and my phone isn't brick now. Thank you very much!

Bricked S6

Hei guys, I'm having an issue with my S6. I tried to root it, using CF-Autoroot, but i had 7.0.1 and it didn't worked. Then I thought, how about a downgrade to a 6.0.1, this should work. However, I forgot to check the "OEM unlock" and the only option I had on was USB debugging. What I tried until now :
-adb doesn't see my device, i tried 3 types of drivers and 2 USB's
-ODIN sees the device, but it fails to write every boot image
-recovery mode is gone, I haven't flashed anything else
- SmartSwitch /Kies throws an invalid IMEI, even though I'm getting that from the list of devices added to my Google account
Only thing that's left is the Download mode. I'm a newb when it comes to flashing devices, don't be harsh on me Thanks in advance for the people helping!

Galaxy S6 SM-G920I bricked

Hi all,
I've got a Galaxy S6 SM-G920I which will boot to : An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software.
I've installed the latest Samsung USB drivers to my PC.
I've installed smart switch and it says my device is " Unsupported Device " . I also updated smart switch to latest version and that made no difference.
I recently deleted 2 important video files by mistake.
A call to Samsung reveiled that there is no way to recovery deleted data from phones internal storage...
A bit of googling lead me to believe the data is still there, its just not visible. Here : https://howtorecover.me/data-recovery-internal-storage-android-phone-guide
So i'm following this guide and get stuck at the > su command. a bit more research reveals I need to root my device.
So I followed a guide on this forum to install latest version of twrp, odin, and magisk.
I reboot and I have root access to the phone.
I continue the guide and fail to proceed after the command > fdisk -l
So I install busybox, and grant it root access.
Command runs but has no output....
At this stage I decide to give up and initiate a system recovery from my phones settings.
Which lead to an endless boot cycle showing the Samsung logo.
More internet research lead me to believe downloading a stock firmware from sammobile might help.
So I downloaded G920IDVU4FRH2_G920ITEL4FRI1_TEL firmware and discovered the instructions on that webpage do not match the extracted content...
So I think that what I feed into odin was the wrong stuff and I've bricked my phone.
I can also access my phones download boot option, and thats all at the moment.
Comments and suggestions welcome
Found the solution here : https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyS8/comments/6nb51r/galaxy_s8_odin_flash_fail_softbrick/dk94krm/
Open Odin, place all the necessary files into their slots.
Go the the options tab, make sure "Auto Reboot" IS ticked.
Press "start", but as soon as you do, hold down Vol down+Bix+Power on your phone. Odin will fail and your phone will reboot into download mode again. Now press "Start" in Odin again, and your phone should flash without a problem. This might take a few attempts to get right, but I hope it helps.
At all flash new rom

stuck on download mode

Revision 1
S7 edge(G935F, exynos model)
Android 8.0.0(Oreo)
rooted = yes, using odin and cf-autoroot file
dev options = turned off
USB debugging = off
OEM unlock = locked
carrier = when bought it isn`t tied to any carriers, now it don`t have any SIM card
SD card = Inside, but broken
What happened?
I try to root the phone. This is the first I`ve root a phone. I follow the instructions exactly and it worked. Then the OS notifies me that I have to restart my phone because of security issues. I restarted it, but it won`t boot. There`s a message in the top corner of the screen that says "custom binaries blocked by FRP", I looked it up and saw how to fix it, found it from imyfone.com (
[2023] Fix “Custom Binary Blocked by FRP Lock” - 100% Work
Stuck on 'custom binary blocked by frp lock' error on your Android device? Find the latest & easiest way here to fix it quickly!
www.imyfone.com
), follow it, when I need to input my carrier and country, imyfone don`t list my country (Indonesia) and don`t have the options to select no carrier so I can`t proceed because it already warns me that if I got the info wrong, I will brick my phone. Then I try to brainstorm an idea by myself and found if I redownloads the rooted tar.md5 to my phone, it will boot again. I boot it to the download mode, prepares Odin, ADB, an USB driver, connect it to this computer and start downloading. Odin says it failed to download but the phone is still stuck on the download mode, and I disconnected the USB several times (What do you need USB for if the download has failed?)
What have I tried? (Not in chronological order)
- ReiBoot, to get out of the download mode and fix the phone
- Factory Reset
- Restarting from the original recovery mode
- redownloads the tar.md5 file to my phone
What I think is the solution?
1. Give up and admit that the phone is broken (not recommended), or
2. Wait until the battery dies and try to boot it again
