we couldn't copy your accounts android wear - Huawei Watch 2

Wear OS app is connected to Huawei Watch 2 and notifications are being sent. When I open Playstore on the watch, it requests to add account from the phone. I then endlessly get "we couldn't copy your accounts android wear, make sure your phone has a network connection and is connected to your watch". Ofcourse my phone has wifi connection and I tried with data connection as well. Is there anyway I can push adb the google account to the watch?
Appreciate a solution.

Do you have GPS activated on the phone? I found that this is required for the account copy procedure.

Yes location services on all the time and permission granted to the Wear OS app

[u location services on all the time and permission granted to the Wear OS app[/QUOTE]
Normally the Wear OS app should copy your Google account from the phone to the watch as soon as your pair it with your phone. Try to reset the watch and start over.

The account must be a gmail email, Wear OS does not support corporative accounts

How to install a new google account on Android Wear (when you can not copy google acount to your android wear) :
Preparation:
- Delete all google accounts on the phone, delete all data in Google, google play services, Wear OS
- Uninstall Wear OS, delete watch name in "bluetooth connections of you phone"
1. Reset factory your watch
2.On the phone, log in with a new gmail account (NO 2-CLASS AUTHENTICATION), not login to another phone
3. Re-Download Wear OS on your phone
4. Connect to the watch, it will be easy to copy the google account into the watch => Watch will have an account to manage and download the app to the watch
5. Sign in the other gmail accounts in your phone, use your phone normally
ps: it's worked with my phone (Note 10+ 5G N976N) and huawei Watch, after many times i reset factory and try lot of ways on internet

this is the only thing that worked for me, many thanks...
I managed to add 2 of my google accounts but the 3rd failed.. can live with that.

1 from Bluetooth unpair watch
2 clear wear os and play service data and cache
3 reset factory watch
now it will work and you can log in ur google account in your watch
if you succeed dont forget to like and share ur experience

With GSM installed - Changed password on gmail/google account now can't login again

Hi,
I had to reset the password for my gmail account, and that caused my huawei p40 pro phone asking me to login again. Both play services and google account managers.
However Google account manager leads me to a dead URL. Play services I actually get a login box and a double verification sms. However after everything is inputed in the Play Services password login, it changed nothing and I am still logged out and Play Services asking again for password.
I have not found much help on the other xda threads, only one with similar problem was recommended using ice box.
"Use icebox
Freeze framework
Clear data Google accounts manager
Sign in 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1000000 accounts
Unfreeze the framework
Abraka dabra everything work lile a charm"
I succeeded with freezing google framework, clear account manager data, but when I try signing in I only get same problem as before. Or if I try adding a newly created G account I get the message "A problem occured while communicating with google servers, please try again later"
Anyone gone through this or have an idea about a solution?
Just happened to me. I did the GMS install step 3 and it fix it. But now I'm getting the not certified device error from GMS. I will reset the device again and start from scratch. In the meantime, I just turned off the notification.

Hello,
I had the same problem before.
Try login into Google account on your watch when your phone and the watch are both connected to the same WiFi network.
Also, the first OTA update fixed a lot of things for me, including the ability for the watch to get internet by Bluetooth from my phone connected to mobile network.
If you can, try updating the watch first (using Samsung Wearable app on the phone) and then try to login with your Google account again on your phone.
Hope it helps !

Anyone found a solution to connect Huawei phone (p40 pro with google services) with galaxy watch 4?
I am getting error that Google account cannot be copied to watch.
I tried to connect my phone using 'connect to new device' after google account was copied to watch using another phone but with no luck....watch is reset and connection to google account is deleted.
Is there any solution for this or hope that we can get some working workaround in decent time?
I am thinking to change my phone for some galaxy phone or samsung watch fkr huawei watch 2 or 3.
I am really disappointed that in 2021 there is soo hard to connect 2 android devices. Not to mention all time spent to got working GSM on my huawei phone. n Maybe I should switch to apple ecosystem - there at least i can be sure that everything will work out of the box

i guess the only way for this to work is to buy a samsung phone.
After one night of try and error, I think I may found a solution. I haven't tested the watch thoroughly to check if the functionalities work but it appears to be connected to my huawei mate xs, with google account logged in and google pay set up.
This method needs another phone that has access to GMS. I used an old oneplus phone.
Firstly, read this regarding how to use samsung health to conenct to the watch:
https://www.reddit.com/r/WearOS/comments/p82h39/_/h9rpsob
Secondly, read this regarding how to pair the watch to another phone without factory reset using adb: https://www.xda-developers.com/pair-android-wear-without-factory-reset/. In this post there are two major steps: 1. clear gms data and reboot 2. force it to start paring in bluetooth.
Now please follow the below steps:
1. connect galaxy watch 4 to huawei phone using samsung heatlh. set it up properly.
2. turn off wifi and bluetooth on huawei phone and reboot
3. use adb to connect to the watch, clear gms and reboot
4. use another android phone, with galaxy wearable, samsung health and all necessary plugins installed (watch pugin, watch4 manager etc.)
5. use adb to open bluetooth pairing on the watch.
6. use another android phone to connect to the watch from samsung health, similar to how you would set it up. but the progress will never reach 100%. do not use galaxy wearable app to pair as it will tell you to do factory reset on the wtch.
7. wait until the setup progress shows some percentages, like 20% or 50%, on the watch open google playstore, click login and your phone should show some login page for google account. click login. Then on the watch download google pay from playstore, open it and add your card with your phone after clicking add card on your watch.
8. close samsung wearable, turn off bluetooth and wifi on your android phone (not huawei)
9. use adb to clear gms and reboot, then turn on bluetooth pairing.
10. reboot huawei phone and turn on wifi and bluetooth. open samsung wearable. your watch should still be paired but not connected. try to connect it from samsung wearble.
11. if it fails to connect, repeat 9 & 10 and try again. for me it worked after rebooting for 3 times ish.
UPDATE 1: google pay will not work because once swtiching phone, the cards added would disappear
UPDATE 2: cards can be later added on huawei phone

Thank you. Unfortunately my gaw4 is purchased in China so no google play services preinstalled.
Could you please connect to you GAW4 using adb and show me the list of packages & version installed on you watch?
Related command is in adb command.zip (This forum don't allow for complicated characters in the post. So upload in zip).
My list of installed package is attached below as list.txt.

Question How to sync google account in SGW4?

Hi,
I have a new samsung galaxy watch 4; my phone is a Xiaomi Mi 9. I never could add my google account into the watch. Everytime I try (from the watch), the window opens in the phone letting me select the account, after a while it closes and the watch keep trying to sinc with a message saying "check your phone".
Both watch and phone are updated to the latest SW version available (not rooted and using the original MIUI global 12.5.1 in the phone, Android 11).
Thinks I tried:
-Resetting watch.
-Resetting phone.
-Unpairing both and connecting them again.
-Clearing cache of Galaxy Wearable app and Play Store in the phone.
-Disabling lock screen in phone.
-Disabling two step verification in Google account.
-Deleting my second account in the phone so only one is available.
Does anyone know if there is an incompatibility between both devices? Or any other procedure I can follow to workarround the problem?
Many thanks!
Posting the solution in case someone has the same problem.
The culprit was the watch (not the phone). The problem solved itself after a software upgrade in the watch. So now I'm at R860XXU1FVC8; Google Play Services are at (22.09.56 220300-438007115).

General Google Play Services Bluetooth Connection Problem

(Google Translate) When I delete all data from settings+applications+google play services, my galaxy watch 4 loses connection with the phone and won't connect again. The reset menu appears on the watch4 screen. I will be glad if you help.
If you do that, I think you are deleting all your Google account credentials. The watch needs that to function. If I am correct, you need to resetup the watch to get it to connect.

Question Issues adding a Google Workspace account, anyone managed to pull this off yet?

Hi folks,
I'm in a bit of a conundrum here. Decided to grab a GW4 on Black Friday, and tried pairing it with my Pixel, but I don't seem to be able to copy my Google account to my watch in any shape or form! I'm a bit at my wits end here.
My Google account is a Google Workspace / G Suite one; I have completely disabled mobile/device management on it. I also tried turning on basic device management, setting a PIN on the watch and trying to add/copy the account on it as well. I'd very much like to use this account on the watch, as it's my "main account" for pretty much everything.
The symptoms are the following: When I try to add/copy my Google account to the watch, I get the Android-native dialog about signing into a Google account on the watch. Confirm that I am indeed trying to add my only Google account. After about 5 seconds of loading, the dialog just closes.
Tried the following so far:
Try to add the Google account during the setup phase --> got "couldn't copy Google accounts" toast notification error in Galaxy Gear app
Try to add the Google account from the Galaxy Gear app --> got "couldn't copy Google accounts" toast notification error in Galaxy Gear app
Try to add the Google account from the watch itself (Settings -> Accounts & Backup -> Google account). This time, I get the native dialog again, select the account, it loads for 5 seconds again, closes, and the progress indicator just remains circling on the watch without doing anything, telling me to "Check my phone".
(Factory) Reset the watch
Update the firmware to the latest version
Do the steps above again
Reset the watch
Do the steps above again
Reset the watch
Try the steps above while not being connected to WiFi
Try setting the device management to basic in Google Workspace admin, and set a PIN on the watch, and try both options as described above
Set device management back to disabled in Google Workspace admin
Reset the watch
Dig out an older phone, factory reset it, login to my Google account, install Galaxy Gear and the Galaxy Watch 4 plugin, do all three steps above
Try both options for logging in while being on cellular connectivity
Reset the watch
Try the last steps again
Try enabling a screen lock on the phone, reboot phone, and perform the two option again. Got prompted during the account copy for my PIN. After entering it, the copy dialog almost immediately closes.
Add a PIN/screen lock on the watch itself, perform the step above
Honestly, I feel like I've followed all steps as described and followed on-screen instructions, yet I still can't get my Google account to sign into the watch (which locks me out of a lot of functionality, including most of the functions that I'm actually interested in using).
I've also found references to using a VPN while adding the Google account. This doesn't make much sense to me, but I did give it a try: I "emulated" this by using two different cellular providers, using my home Internet connection and tunneling the traffic back to a VM hosted in a datacenter in a different country. Also did the "DNS trick" someone else described and manually set Google's DNS server on my phone, and I can confirm that my home network does not hijack DNS requests.
I tried logging onto the old device with an old, personal Gmail/Google account that I no longer use, this managed to copy / add itself onto the watch without a problem. However, I'm not planning to migrate off of the Google account I've been using for the past 8+ years.
Additionally, I tried to add the Google Workspace account as a secondary account, after I had finished setting up the watch with my old, personal account, but I got the same symptoms/issue as I described above.
Has anyone managed to add a Google Workspace account to their Galaxy Watch 4 yet?
Are there any specific settings (other than Mobile Management) that one needs to set in the Google Workspace admin in order to make accounts on the Workspace usable on smartwatches?
or... does the Galaxy Watch just *not* support Google Workspace accounts at all?
