I have a problem. Due to frustration, I hit my Redmi Note 7 pro to the edge of my bed . This made a dent in the phone. And now the phone is dead. Unable to fastboot. Not charging. Its completely dead. Tried to Unbrick but the mobile is not detected by Adb bootloader too when connected to PC. Any sort of help would be appreciable. Thank you.
Maybe socket battery not connected (displace)

I am not sure about that ,but before the incident happened , it was charged. Also holding power button or "power+ vol up'" button doesnt show anything. If it was battery issue, I believe atleast the mobile would have turned ON for a second

well it depends on where the dent is on the phone if the dent is at upper portion (near camera)
then it is probably dead motherboard and even it was on the battery side (around "REDMI" logo)
then there is high chance that your device's battery will get punctured and it will caught fire or something
worse and it is also applicable to front side of phone. but there might be a chance that from the dent only
the screen has stopped working, in that case you can replace the screen and it will be fine.

Thank you for your kind reply. This was helpful . By your explanation I suspect that the mother board is dead. And for clarification I have attached the pic and highlighted the effected part. Is there any solution for this? What can I do if mother board is dead?

ahhh..i had bigger mark than that ..when i dropped it ..just few weeks ago
the fix is pretty simple
remove battery, sim and sdcard and tightly pack/wrap the phone with a plastic pouch
and keep the phone in freezer overnight (make sure no water is entering the phone)..i.e. around 6-8 hours
once thats done ..take the phone back ..let it come to room temperature ..then clean the phone with tissues just in case
then pop in the battery and ..on it ..TADA ..phone is back to normal
BTW i found this fix in XDA only ..but for different device ..and i used it on my device ..so its pretty safe and best ever solution ive found
"Keep the phone in freezer overnight" I love these unofficial solutions you guys come up with.

well ..when i had that kind of big blob on my screen ...and when i searched about this problem in this godly xda thread ...every thread ended up with freezer solution ..and im quite surprised as to how it works ..so i finally gave it a shot ..kept in freezer for just 4 hours ..thats all all the dead pixels are gone completely
allow freezer,
ive just contacted HTC, they said send it back but i need to find out if its under warranty.
ill ring them up first, i also need to undo all the rom edits on the phone before sending it and wiping the phone too....
You'll notice the colour of the marks getting darker and spreading when the phone heats up (usually while charging or some CPU intensive process)
When you cool it down , the colour becomes lighter and turn more cyan blue.
So let it cool mate, freezer way
Its happened thrice for me
@GaneshP,
Any idea why it happens so ?
Hey guys,
Not sure what has happened to my note. I remember I only charged it overnight and in the morning I tried to turn it on and it stuck in the SAMSUNG NOTE 10.1 booting screen. So I did a quick search and I pressed power button + vol up button. After trying it a few times without any luck, my note suddenly went to this state (TV noise like - see pic). I could not do anything to it. Could anyone help me with this please? I am pretty noob in android device and never done any rooting and stuffs but pretty handy with PC. Thanks guys. Any help would be really appreciated.

You require a service centre .
could I just manually root it though? It is not in the warranty period anymore.
Anyone? urgently need help here
It has a hardware failure. Take it to the service centre.

not sure, I think it's either power off from a drained battery or just home screen. I charged it overnight and it couldn't be turned on anymore in the next morning.

Similar to my daughter's 8010. It kept freezing and would sometimes show a screen like that. Samsung replaced the Motherboard in the end.

If you're out by just a month or 2 I'd claim expected warranty. In Oz if the warranty is out by a small amount you can get it fixed under warranty because it is expected that the item will still be running outside the warranty period. It's ridiculous to have an item fail just out of warranty. It is expected to work for a while longer, not quit a week or month after the warranty ends...
Story time first, then the question.
Okay so I have a tablet I got replaced by the recall, and I'm going to say it - I'm not gentle with my devices. That's why I made sure to have a case on it at all times. The other day I was trying to pick up my tablet in the dark because I had put it on the floor for a second to get it out of the way to turn off the light to go to bed. I found the cable it was plugged into and slowly started picking it up by the cable. I know, I know, but it worked, almost. About three inches off the ground it came unplugged and dropped, then fell flat on the display side. When I tried to turn on the screen to use it (I'd done that before so I didn't think it would be a big deal. Besides, this is a tough little tablet - my brother left his on top of a car and drove off and when he got it back there was a little cosmetic damage and not even a cracked screen, even though it hit on the corner) the backlight came on, but nothing came on the display. So then I took it to a local repair place to get an evaluation done. The display cable had come unplugged, nothing more. Just needed to get plugged back in. For $30. HA! I took to the internet to find a teardown I could use to fix it myself and save the money. But the video I found didn't have any words, spoken or otherwise, so I ended up just having removed the battery and mobo and putting everything back in. Well, it worked. The display came back on and I had my tablet back. But the warning that my card wasn't in came up and when I figured it out, it turns out when I had lifted the mobo, the card slid out a little and when I put it back it snapped the card, so now I need a new one. But now once I put it back together there's a new problem. When I plug it in to charge, the led flashes green and yellow, but it doesn't actually charge. I guess I somehow knocked loose another cable or something while I was in there.
Okay now for the question.
Does anyone know of a diagram of the connections or a teardown that labels things I could use to more confidently get this tablet working again? I think I mainly just need to know where the charging circuit connections are. I'm pretty sure of which one I need to plug in correctly to make it work but I'm a little gunshy this time and would rather know for sure. The battery is down to 11% and it's off right now, but I use this thing too much to do without a tablet for long.
I got similar problem, my 3 year old son dropped his tablet couple of times accidentaly and suddenly we could not charge it anymore (orange/green flashing). I have a replacement battery prepared for my pyro tablet (his tablet is the replacement), so I decided to replace the battery. Once I opened the tablet (you can use this guide https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Nvidia+Shield+Tablet+Battery+Replacement/50117) I found the green wire for the battery PCB detached from the main board . I soldered it and that's it, now it works again!
Now, I found that the new tablet is different that the one showed on ifixit, do you guys know what is that circuit installed on the tablet back cover?

Well, my screen was also cracked so i decided to change it, because i was thinking on that moment that this is only a problem in particular with the screen
I just let my Nexus lying on my secure table of things, not using it minding not mess it more (as far i know that my little poor Nexus 5 has a problem on Microphone too)
Life goes on, mailman gives me happy bringing the new screen in less than 1 week, then i installed it on the same day.
but, the problem of "HBO" screen noisy continues. And sometimes (very rare) the touchscreen stops working. I make some research and i found it that can be the flex cable of USB charge (also same flex for screen and mic as well). This flex cable is responsible for connect screen, wifi antenna, mic and usb port to the motherboard. Replacing it could fix, i hope.
Before i buying the new flex cable, i have to make this question: this problem can be a faulty motherboard? any minor chance to be a little fault on motherboard? or i can assume that is only a problem of the flex cable?
This is the flex cable im talking about: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Charging-US...444535?hash=item25bb6f9ef7:g:0-wAAOSw2x1XKKJy
Thanks in advance
Since this happened on the old and new screen, it could be a problem with the internal connections or, worse, the motherboard.
solution?

Hello! I am here sharing a problem with my LG Volt, I changed the ROM recently for about 2 weeks, so I was all happy with my cell phone, until now, out of nowhere (I did not drop it), my cell phone started to give this bizarre glitch, which leaves it without any condition of use...

I don't think this is about the screen or touchscreen sensor damage, because I didn't drop it this cellphone any time in about 1 month. And there's no sign of cracks and typical broken LCD crystal blurred spots.
If you guys have any hints, about what problem it may be, I accept answers.

I would try flashing the stock firmware, if that doesn't fix it, then it's more than likely caused by hardware damage of some kind for whatever reason.

I tried, but the upload mode, is not working, the screen flashes like that, even in the boot. I think this is about hardware too, but i don't think is about of any kinda of damage, it's just the flat cable connecting the screen with the motherboard that is somewhat loose. Because this morning, when I unplugged the charger after at least 10 hours, the screen showed up normally, but when I shaked a little bit the phone, it died, and it started the screen glitch.
*Edit: And the cellphone is with the stock ROM. (I just reflashed with the original exactly ROM)
