I managed to set a nicely working Android-x86 on my laptop,
I was initially hoping to use adb with it just as I am doing with real phones, via USB. So I plugged in a dedicated USB male-to-male cable and... nothing happened. Turns out Android-x86 doesn't support connection via USB cable.
Is there an idea?

I've been searching for an answer for this issue, so far no luck
TCL 40 inch Android Smart TV(not Rooted)
2 - USB 2.0 ports
1-USB 3.0 ports
1 2.0 usb camera
I have a 500gb WD(NTFS Format) and a usb stick both are being detected and working as it should when I first got the TV.
Suddenly it is not being detected anymore
Although both lights(External and USB) are blinking and if you touch the hard drive you can feel its running
but when I check the media devices connected its just detecting the SD card.
I tried switching usb ports(including the 3.0) but still not being detected
I use the usb camera to all the usb ports and its being detected
Tried another type of otg cable not detected.
I tried just using the usb stick, still not detected
Tried Factory reset on the Android TV but no helo.
and both(WD and usb stick) are being detected in my laptop, using thesame otg cable.
ES FILE Manager sees the devices but when I open it nothing will show up.
Tried stickmount no go as well
I installed USB host controller
and connect all the usb devices and it sees it
when I go to info(usb host controller)
Im getting S3C USB Host driver NOT Found
Root hub present, USB host mode is Active.
Not sure what that is but I tried searching it no where to download it.
I was configuring Kodi TV on the smart tv before the issue happened
so I decided to uninstall it and did factory reset.
Appreciate the inputs.
I can't figure this out. For some reason my Windows 10 computer doesn't recognize my Note 20 Ultra when it's connected to a USB 3.1 type A port. It's not my cables, I used them with my S10+ and they worked fine. The only way my computer will recognize my phone is if I use a type C to type C cable in the USB 3.2 type c port. Otherwise it shows up in device manager as "Samsung Mobile USB Composite Device" with a conflict and tells me the USB device malfunctioned and isn't recognized. I can't for the life of me figure out why my computer won't recognize my phone in any USB A ports.
The drivers are installed, the cables aren't faulty, and uninstalling the drivers and letting them install with PnP doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea what's going on here?
I need to connect to this tv box through adb, but adb doesn't even detect it. I'm using Ubuntu on a laptop.
USB debugging is allowed in developer options, the connection type is either file transfer or charging, trying to select any other mode (picture/image transfer) doesn't work, it goes into charging mode.
I tried using only WiFi, nothing. Tried connecting the box by USB to the laptop, nothing. Tried plugging in an ethernet cable from the laptop to the box, laptop can't get a connection going.
Has anyone managed to do it?

If you have windows on your laptop, try using MyPhoneExplorer and connect to MyPhoneExplorer Client on H96.
Hej,
my phone is powered by Android 10. As you probably know, to get ADB over Wifi working on devices running Android 10 you have to connect it to a computer via usb cable.
This is not very comfortable nor a practical way to go.
So i prepared a Pi Zero 2W in a way that it runs 'adb tcpip 5555' when it recognises that the device id of my phone is connected. but there is this problem that i need 2 cables right now to achive what i want.
1. If I connect the phone to my pi (any port, normal usb cable, no further powersource), the pi start up just fine but the phone isn't available in the list of the usb host controller
2. If I power up the pi with external power and connect a second usb cable with otg adapter afterwards to the phone the pi recongize the phone and begins to start adb.
3. If I try to power the pi with only the otg adapter cable with the phone, the pi doesnt get alive. There seems no current.
My Question is:
Is it possible to connect the pi with only one cable or maybe a splitter cable to the phone so the pi can draw power from the phone and also see the phjone as regular usb device that can be operated on ?
regards
rob
I would like to use both adb via USB (not via IP) and HDMI out on my S22U without root but it does not seem possible and was wondering if there was a hardware (or other) solution to support splitting up HDMI and USB or at least making it seem like an HDMI out device is connected.
I tried multiple USB hubs that have HDMI out and USB, but it turns out that connecting Android to a PC via the hub will not work due to usb host/master/slave issues. I'll probably also try a USB over IP solution like VirtualHere but I don't have high hopes for that.
