Galaxy S20 Ultra or OnePlus 8 Pro - General Topics

Hi there
I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I have a question.
If both devices (S20 Ultra and Oneplus 8 Pro) would have the same price, which one would you choose?
I have an offer to get the S20 Ultra (new) for 999 dollars, the OnePlus 8 Pro would cost the same.
I read a lot of negative reviews about the S20 Ultra, but I'm not sure if it's really that bad or if it's just too expensive for what it does?
Thanks

no doubt oneplus 8 pro is better

They both seem like really good devices if you can afford them. Probably won't go wrong with either device but I've never been a fan of Samsung's bloatware and for that reason I'd go with the OnePlus 8.

Which Chinese flagship would you recommend?

Hi
I have been Samsung user for years and now decided to give a try to Chinese top smartphone. I'm looking for device with great battery life, reasonable camera, fingerprint scanner, screen around 5,5" and size not bigger than 150mm. I have bought recently huawei mate 7 which is amazing phone but I had difficulties to handle it in my pockets (size :crying and I'll have to sell it.
I have considered Meizu mx4 pro ( great screen, but not very good camera) or Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 which seems to have all what I want.
If you know other great smartphones please let me know. If you are a user of meizu mx4 pro or redmi note 2 let me know what you think about them.
Thank you
p. s yeah I know that phones which I specified might not be treated as flagship but price factor is also important and I don't want to spend more than 200-300 $

Note10 vs Oneplus 7 Pro vs Mate 30 Pro (which would you choose?)

I currently have 2 phones, Mate20Pro for personal use and Note9 for work. I really enjoy using both phones, but I'm thinking about selling them both to buy one of these:
- Note10
- Oneplus 7 Pro
- Mate 30 Pro
I'm contemplating which one to get, and it's very difficult to make up my mind. I love using the S-pen, and actually use it quite a lot, however I also enjoy the night time camera quality of the Mate20Pro just as much. OP7pro is in there due to the beautiful 90hz display, and the software features (although arguably One UI is on par).
If the Note10 came out with a really good night mode for the camera to rival Huawei phones, and had just as good a battery life as the Mate 20 Pro, I'd ask for nothing else (except for maybe the 90hz refresh rate)
If you guys were in my situation, which would you pick, and why?
FYI, the local prices for the phones are:
Note10 - around $1162usd for the plus/pro model with 256gb, but I can get a free Nintendo Switch through carrier promotions which I can sell later. Assuming I get around $240usd, that means I'll be paying around $922usd, with other freebies (like galaxy buds, wireless chargers, etc...)
Oneplus 7 Pro - $664usd
Mate 30 Pro - unreleased, but most likely going to be over $1200usd, with no promotions since Huawei phones are also illegal here.

Xiaomi Note 10 Lite vs Realme 6 Pro?

Bought a Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite on Amazon France (it was cheapest there) in February. Was working fine up until a few weeks ago when it turned itself off and asked me to "Reboot to main menu". This now happens 2 or 3 times a day. Did factory reset, same problem. So looks like it's a glitch and I'll be returning it to get a refund. I've had Xiaomi phones before, never had a problem. So I'm looking for best phone around €300. I'd like a decent camera, quick /snappy processor, no glitches, good support and decent resale value as I tend to sell my phones every 18 months and upgrade. The realme 6 Pro and mi note 10 lite seem to suit my needs best..... But which is the better?
Xiaomi 10 Lite
The 90hz screen in Realme 6 Pro really bad.
Mi 10 Lite 5G! This is wrong forum!

Which phone?

I currently have a Huawei p20 pro and love it but due an upgrade and planning on getting a new phone and passing the old one on to family. I love the p20 pro so tempted by the p30 pro as still has google play but concerned lack of google support may be a problem in future. Can get the oppo find x2 neo for similar price.
What are people's opinions? Battery life and camera both important for me.

Question S22 Ultra / Magic 5 Pro / OnePlus 11

Hi all.
I'm currently looking for a new phone, and currently have 3 choices.
Honor Magic 5 Pro 512GB: USD 930 (Honor Official)
Samsung S22 Ultra 256GB: About USD 600 (Like New Second-hand with no warranty)
OnePlus 11 256GB: About USD 812 (OnePlus Official)
Which one is a better value for money? Appreciate all comments, thanks.

I would never buy a used phone. No way to know how it was used by the previous owner.
S22U would have been my pick had it been new.
I don't have too much idea about the software on Honor device. But it is a very good phone based on reviews.
In this case, I'll go with OnePlus 11 just to be on the safe side.
Have you considered other phones like Vivo X90 and iQOO 11?
Ah, the vivo and iqoo aren't available in the region, but the s22u is "Certified" by the marketplace app.

Those certifications mean nothing. Avoid a used phone if you can.
How about a brand new for USD740? Is it worth it? I'm concerned about the soc mainly...

The S22U tends to run slightly warmer. The battery life is average at best. On an average, I get about 5 hours SOT (mostly on WiFi) and a standby time of about 15 hours when the battery is at 15%. They have sorted this out on the S23U, so if you can stretch your budget, you should consider getting that instead.
Everything else is excellent, even if the software has a few bugs here and there.
Between the S22U and the OnePlus 11, I'll go with the S22U only because of it's cameras (S-Pen is a bonus). This is not to say that the OnePlus 11 cameras are bad. They are very good too. But the S22U is better.
OnePlus 11 has the better SOC and lighter software on its side. So it will give you a snappier performance and better battery life.

Brand new is better. If you read through the forums here, you'll read about people who bought used phones that were essentially paper weights because they were either stolen, or bought then resold without being paid off, and Samsung locked them.
