How to install MIUI 12 onto Xiaomi devices?
Download the MIUI 12 OTA update or Recovery zip file from above.
Transfer the update zip to phone storage in the root directory. Meaning, outside every folder. If that doesn’t work, place the file in the folder ‘download_rom’.
Launch the updater app on your Xioami phone. Or go to settings > about phone > system updates.
Click on three dots on the top right corner and choose “Choose Update package”
If “Choose Update package” option desn’t show up, tap on the MIUI icon several times and check again.
Select the MIUI 12 ROM package from phone storage.
Your phone should reboot and update process will begin.
Once done, reboot to system.
Note: Don’t stop the update once started. If stopped, you will need to do the operation again right from downloading the firmware file again. This will not erase any data in your phone.

Thanks for posting.
I returned my phone to stock by flashing the latest global fastboot image in MiFlash. My bootloader is still unlocked.
When I try, it says "Can't verify update. You're allow to flash the newest develop version published by MIUI forum from stable version only". (spelling mistake theirs).
Would I do better flashing TWRP and flashing it from there?

i think in 29 April eu version is coming ?
https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/miui-12.55301/

I flashed it via TWRP and it worked fine. Visually, it looks the same as v11 to me.
I wonder how stable the v12 .eu betas will be. I only just got my device, so I've been flashing AOSP ROMs. I was going to go with the latest .eu, but I might wait until the first v12 beta .eu is released before I set it up.

I posted a mini review of MIUI 12 on the Whirlpool forums, so I decided to post it here, too. In a nutshell, I'm not a fan of the direction Xiaomi is taking with MIUI.
--
I flashed the MIUI 12 beta build from yesterday on my Mi9 Lite. While Realme made RealmeUI more stock-like than ColorOS 6 was, Xiaomi appears to be moving MIUI in the opposite direction. I didn't mind MIUI 10, but I didn't like MIUI 11 so much. MIUI 12 is worse than ColorOS 6.
These screenshots are with the display size changed from the default of 392 to 411 to make things smaller, but you'll notice that the text is still large, and very bold. If I reduce the font thickness, it reduces the overly thick headings in the various menus, but the smaller text becomes too thin.
You'll notice the quick settings have been replaced by a near full-screen control centre, which, in my opinion, is worse than any other UI available. Luckily, there's an option to disable the control centre. I've included a screenshot of this toggle.

MUI 12 Beta all Devices
Hi guys,:good:
MIUI 12 Beta for all devices in MIUI.eu posted today :fingers-crossed::laugh:

Downloading right now (globe rom version).
Anyone tried yet?
edit:
Okay, installation is done. Here are some first impressions:
- First boot took quite long, almost thought I had a bootloop.
- I needed a second reboot, as the new gestures weren't working right after reboot
- Some animations (especially sending app to background by swiping up = hombebutton) dont feel as smooth as in MIUI 11
- Instantly disabled the new control center. Honestly looks like a cheap iOS rip-off
- I couldn't find those new "planetary wallpapers" with the zoom in effect that were mentioned in some news about MIUI 12. May be that's because it's xiaomi.eu rom
- New camera UI looks quite nice
That's it for now. Will update if I find any problem etc.

Official EUI 6.0.030S ROM (CN-EN) for Le Pro 3 AI [project x7 | codenames x650-x659]

Few days ago as expected, official users (who is using CN-EN official ROMs) of Le Pro 3 AI (further mentioned "x7") got an OTA update to the latest release of EUI 6.0.030S.
The miracle that expected was not appeared. It is still based on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow).
The ROM is still not localized for other countries, it contains only CN and EN languages.
And there still many bloatware of LeEco services that is very annoyance.
But first of all, the apps inside are now more optimized and as I see, they starting and function faster then previously.
Ok, let's go to the main part - links =)
The Official Site where you can download the ROM based on OTA update scheme is HERE. Also you can download a copy of OTA package from HERE.
But if you want to download faster, you can use my clouds where I'm continuously holding the most of Official ROMs for x7.
---> MEGA (follow into the folder called "original_stock")
---> FEX
Inside my clouds you can find that the ROM filenames contains not only a version but also an appropriate suffix (_OTA or _FASTBOOT). It's used to separate the ROMs by the installation method.
The FASTBOOT prepared ROMs contains an installation scripts (.BAT for Windows and .SH for Linux/Mac) for not only full installation (with clearing of User Storage), but also for update (without clearing of User Storage).
Please be careful, don't even try to install via FASTBOOT without clearing of User Storage, if you currently have functioning non Official multilingual EUI like 5.9.027S (faked as 028S in menu "About phone") or other non official!!! If you'll do this you will get many conflicts in settings and apps.
I expect that the FASTBOOT updating instructions are widely known, but remind them once more:
1) Enable the "Developer options" menu by clicking on "Build number" 7 times in the "About phone"
2) In the "Developer options" menu, turn on "OEM unlocking" and "USB debugging"
3) Connect the phone to the computer with a USB cable
4) Run one of the installation scripts from the folder of the unpacked firmware
5) Immediately upon startup, allow on the phone screen the "USB debugging" permission for your computer, preferably within the checkbox "always trust this device"
6) Wait until the installation process finishes (15-20 mins), calmly referring to the fact that the phone itself will reboot into FASTBOOT mode, and also please ignore the Sparse format error message (it's normal)
7) The phone itself will reboot into a new OS ... the first launch will be very long
Please feel free to ask anything here about the installation process, cloud links etc.
But be ready that I'm not fast answering.
Any other questions including the comparison of EUI versions performance and functionality will be ignored by me.
We still have the device that is highly secured with unknown protection mechanism and that gets us unable to build any quality custom ROM. =|
thank you
I should have researched before buying the device kk was already "lost" trying to find a customized rom for him. this part of the text: "We still have the device that is highly secured with unknown protection mechanism and that gets us unable to build any quality custom ROM. =| " , clarified me a lot

ROM does not have Google applications. You need install it. I think this still working in this version: https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/leeco-le-pro3-a1-model-x651-guides-development--and-mods/automated-installer-gapps-morelocale2-t3752576
Ok installed the 30s mod version from https. ://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=895159&st= 2020#entry77308634
and it includes gapps.
You can install another launcher to get rid of ads.
There is no root for this rom, right?

030S mod is based on APKs of 030S with few modifications... but it also runs the old Boot from version 027S... so it may have some unexpected behavior...
yes, all of these ROMs have no root... but with mods based on Boot of 027S version you can use a temporary root (one time booting into TWRP) for further system modifications and then back to boot with native stock kernel and modified system will run good (expect the problems with apps you may cause by modifications)
hi, how i can install this ROM if I use a non official Rom? I mean, I recived this phone yesterday with a 028s (stable) that is non official, and I want to install this official ROM.

What you can't see? The scripts?
You need to look at the contains of unpacked ROM zip that have suffix "FASTBOOT" in filename. There must be files with names like "x7_fastboot_tool.bat" and "x7_fastboot_tool_noUser.bat" and also same files with ".sh" extensions for Linux.
For installation to start you need to run one of this scripts. To run from CLI (CMD), not by double-clicking on it.
what's the score in antutu in new rom ? I have 50000....
dilnix,
I've downloaded the FULL_X7_X7-CN-FN-KGXCNFN6003009091S-6.0.030S.zip which don,t have the fastboot tools.
Do you have instructions to install this?

This is an OTA package. But it's buggy, my try to make a direct update from 028S to this 030S with OTA way was failed, and I heart many reviews about same behavior.
So I think the best way to update is to use Fastboot with scripts and executable provided in my package that contains "_FASTBOOT" suffix in filename.
From there you can use script "x7_fastboot_tool_noUser.bat" (or .sh option in Linux) to make update to 030S (only from clean stock 025S, 026S or 028S, not from fake 027S or any mod) without clearing of Userdata Storage.
Or you can use script "x7_fastboot_tool.bat" (or .sh option in Linux) to make a new installation of 030S with clearing of Userdata Storage (from any other previous ROM).
If you can't download by my links provided in topic, please write here and I'll try to solve this.

My x650 shows 87000 in antutu on 030S. I can't know what is reason you having less.
Currently my Le pro 3 ai is on non official 5.9.27s I have to downgrade it to 5.9.25s.what should I do. Further I want to update my device to eui 6.0.30s. Any help is highly appreciated .
I think that is 027s custom rom better than this 028s. I recommend you to not change anything.

As an example of this way how to move into stock 028S with flashing first 025S and then just update to 028S (or 030S if you want) I prepared a video half of year ago. HERE
I understand that not all processes there are perfect... for example I used ADB to push ROM instead of MTP that is much faster =)
But if you have experience and you sure in other option of processing the steps explained in this video - enjoy and good luck.
Hope it will help somebody.
P.S.: Now I have some trouble with focus (can't focus larger then 120 cm) in stock Camera on EUI 030S and have a plan to get 028S back just for testing of Camera and focus processing.
P.S.2.: If you will have desire to get back into custom 027S you had earlier, you always can make it. It's available on both forums (XDA & 4pda). But you need to know, that changing of using between clean stock and custom ROMs is always requires you to clean a Userspace too.
Thanks for your reply . But I want to ask is there is risk of getting brick if anything goes wrong.

How to downgrade from 10 to 9

I recently installed android 10 but there is a really annoying bug that moved the whole keyboard up so I would like to roll back to 9. Can someone please explain how to do that? Is is possible with oxygen updater (download android 9 rom and install it on top of android 10)?

Oneplus let the user choose between 3 types of navigations:
- buttons
- gesture (left and right) (this one is newly added with android 10)
- gesture (bottom)
Both gesture types contains the bug. The only way to have the keyboard at the correct location is disable gesture (which is not what I want).
So it's clearly a bug that can not be solve in the current rom (10.0.1).
I don't want to choose between the navigation gesture and right keyboard location (as both were working on android 9).
I updated to android 10 to get android 10 gesture improvements but the only thing I got is a regression.
For those who are interested to get more informations about this bug, there are a lot a topic in the feedback section of the oneplus forum (lots of people are waiting for this fix).
Now that the situation is clear, can someone help me to roll back to android 9 please ?

This gap is intentional, iPhone from where these gestures are copied have doubled the gap, because its not easy to type so far down the bottom on a long phone, to keep the keyboard at more usable position they have raise keyboard little bit, iPhone has raised it even more. Take it as a feature. Else free to downgrade. If you wanna lose dark mode.
Nobody has yet to share how to downgrade from 10 to 9.............

If you read says :
Disclaimer: Please read the steps and requirements carefully and take a Complete Backup of your device Internal Data before flashing..
The phone will boot into recovery mode and will erase the user data completely..
File type: " fulldowngrade_wipe_MSM_18857_190505_1527_user.zip"
_we can get back on previous version and with msm tool also :
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7/how-to/op7-unbrick-tool-to-restore-device-to-t3954325
(Read in OP: "They can also be used to rollback your phone to a previous release of OOS")
If you haven't downgraded yet, you can use a command in terminal if you're rooted. Type wm overscan 0,0,0,-75. There's a link in xda which provides adb commands also. Search in google and you'll find it.
Would restoring a TWRP backup of the OP7 with Pie work?
Also thinking of rolling back, don't want to lose everything.

updating to pie its not working by sideloading you need to save the pie file to your storage and if you cant access your phone you can try flash the latest RAW File just find in other forums.
Well, after trying the RAW file a second time, it is now working. No clue what the deal was before. It shouldn't have even had Magisk installed still after flashing that RAW file, but it did, and was causing the problems.
Second flash actually reset everything. Can't delete this post though.

Development Paranoid Android Ruby Alpha 1 - OnePlus 9

We are very excited to announce the beta of Paranoid Android Ruby, based on Android 11.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Device-specific issues
White Balance
Auto Brightness can be a bit wonky but otherwise works fine.
Dimensions aren't complete.
Likely a ton of other stuff.
These are just the most prominent to me. Don't come into this with the expectation any issue you come across will be fixed in a timely manner.
Note: Custom kernels are NOT supported unless the kernel says it supports PA and GMS is included!
Oh, this works on the Pro variant for the most part (they are unified).
Download
Instructions
Download the latest fastboot zip we released (hint: it has an -image appended to zip name)
Reboot to bootloader.
Flash the fastboot zip with "fastboot update pa-*-signed-image.zip"
Reboot into recovery after it is done flashing & wipe userdata.

It's a fastboot update rom. Can't be flashed through twrp even if there was one available. And btw there still isn't one for the op8 on A11 and it's been out a long time.

So what is the currently recommended method for taking full device backups where you can restore a known state (like TWRP did)? I know nothing really for the 9 series yet, but what do people on the 8 series do?

Not a replacement route. Twrp just isn't coming along for OnePlus devices. I moved to the op9. Pm me, I can link you to a couple apps. But let's not spam up this man's thread for Paranoid Android going off topic.
Finally get to flash Pa and get data. I had the Verizon variant on the op8 and couldn't successfully get this up and running on that device. I have the unlocked global op9 now. Stoked that this came out so early. Los officially added op9 pro today as well. Thanks to the devs bringing us option's other than stock to this great device.
Any feedback on this alpha build of PA?

Daily driver for me. Magisk works fine too, safety net fails tho but i don't mind. It lacks custiomization like changing refresh rate etc. but other than that it seems stable.

Sounds like you don't have A11 on both slots of device. Unsure though.
What do you mean?
I keep getting this

How To Guide Install Xiaomi EU, IN, ID ROMs instead of Global without Unlocking Bootloader!

This Guide is for any Xiaomi device with any 'Stock ROM'. Please do the following steps carefully, especially from step 7 to the last step:
Check the current MIUI version on your device, and to do this do the following:
Go to settings> About phone> you will find the version number next to MIUI Version.
You will need to download the same version, so go to the XiaomiRom website.
In the search box above, type your phone’s name, and download the ROM version with the same number you have.
You must make sure that the ROM you are downloading is Recovery version and not Fastboot and it is the same version that is currently on your phone
Now, following the same steps, download the appropriate Indonesian (ID), or European (EU) ROM for your phone with any version number you want but it must be the same Android version.
For example: If you currently have Android 11, the other ROMs must also be Android 11 as well
Now you have two files, the global ROM which is the same as your current version, and the Indonesian ROM that you want to flash.
Go to Settings app > About phone > System updates. Now by pressing the three points above list select the phrase “choose the update package” or the Select Update , the Package .
In case you don’t see this option, simply click on the MIUI logo for 10 consecutive clicks, then the option will appear.
Now, you will choose your “current” official Xiaomi ROM and a message will appear: Your phone will restart automatically with the button: Reboot and update, Leave it and don’t click on it now and leave this page as it is and don’t close it!.
Go to the home screen > file manager > Downloads > then go to the official ROM file that you chose in the previous step and copy its current name “long click with the option to rename and then copy the file name”.
Did you copy the name of the global ROM version? Now delete it!
Again, go to the Indonesian ROM file you downloaded, and rename it, then paste the name of the ROM you copied in the previous step, and do not forget that the file extension is .zip for one time and not duplicated.
Now, go back to the page that I told you not to clos in step 7 and hit the restart and update button.
Now, the phone will reboot, and start installing the Indonesian ROM or any other ROM you downloaded in the first steps on your instead of the global one.
So, what have we done here?! Simply, starting from step 7, the phone told us that we will install the global version of the ROM, so at the same time the system Decrypt it to find out the data of the Zip file of the ROM that you chose, and thus the OS skipped here the stage of making sure that this version is compatible with your current phone.
Then, in step 9 and step 10 we deleted the ‘System Approved’ ROM and renamed the Indonesian ROM to the same name as the ROM the phone approved in Step 7 – so the phone went straight to it since it’s the same name.

Yes it is safe. But I used this method to downgrade from 12.5.5 Global to 12.0.4 global. As there are news that MIUI 12.5.5 is causing an issue and people's devices are getting hard bricked suddenly.
Thank you in advance, I'm new on this forum. Doing this process, do you lose any data?
Thanks

You should have recorded a video of this process. There could be some after effect. Like OTA and trying to get back to the main stock Rom

thank you.will i loose any data?i want to go ID for enable call record
Is google play certification passes with this method? Are Playstore and other google apps work after switching Rom's area for instance Global to Indonesia or EU?
If it helps anyone who comes to this thread and interested in the answer: I Switched from 12.5.7 Global to 12.0.3 Indonesian rom. After restart a data wipe was needed. I haven't signed in any google account yet but google play protection says that my device is certified.
I have 12.5.4(RJUEUXM) EEA, could I flash 12.5.7(RJUMIXM) Global using this method? I assume so, but my question is, will it need a full wipe?
Also, can I flash a xiaomi.eu recovery using this method, or is it silly to even consider it?
I installed MiUI 12.5.4.0 indonasian on my Global Poco X3 pro after unlocking bootloader. And now I have Upgraded it to MiUI 12.5.7 Global using this method. By doing this, my data was not erased. Everything seems to be working but after few hours I noticed that some apps e.g SMS is not opening. I am resetting my device now as I have already backed up my data.
Thanks for tutorial. Munchy's video helped a lot as well.
My phone with Android 10 and also MIUI 12.0.5 and I want to change to ROM MIUI 12.5 and Android 11 can I change or not?
I try to go from Global_V12.5.4.0.RJUEUXM to xiaomi.eu_multi_POCOX3Pro_V12.5.7.0.RJUMIXM but it didn'r work for me.
Boot locked here.
