Hello everyone, i'm trying to solve a problem that I'm having with the Google now on the new nexus 5. The slide from left to right option on the home page to open the google now is not available on the nexus 5. I have uninstalled the updates, reinstalled the updates, cleaned the data, removed and re-add the account in the Google Settings - Search - Account & privacy - Google Account, but still i'm not having the option of google now and google cards to enable it. How i can fix this issue and enable the google now? Have in mind that the location services inside the location-settings says not available in Cyprus. is it this the reason or takes time to enable the google now from google because the gmail that is on the nexus 5 was on gingerbread phone before?

Have you tried long pressing on the home screen for the options and selecting Settings and enabling through there? I'm not sure about your location settings but this should enable Google Now.

yes and also is the same to go from google settings-search etc
Are you a Google apps user? If so you need to enable Google now in the Google apps administration.
Have you changed your launcher? Google Now (slide from left) is only available on the stock launcher. (I don't think anyone has created a launcher with this option yet. (If so please share the info)

It's a Google service - you need a Google account. Create a Gmail account and log in to phone with that (or play store at least) and it should work - otherwise I would try the Google support forums.

im using a gmail on the nexus 5
From the home screen, tap the google search icon (or aka the google now bar)
you should see something that says get google now
tap it and follow the steps and select your account
i had to do that on my nexus 5
I think people are trying to give you options to enable it from it's defaulted disabled state. It first needs to be activated (available) and since it isn't in your country then you can't do it via the normal methods. Your IP address is what enables or disables it based on country laws.

when i had the galaxy nexus and i was in Cyprus it was working fine. also on my nexus 5 is working fine as well
Did you also have the latest Google Search on your phone then too? Are they side by side? It might have been disabled since an older update especially being built into the phone now vs something you manually download and install.
Have you tried removing your Google account and setting it up again? It happened to me once (when I was setting up the phone without logging in to my Google account), and that was the only way to get Google Now back.

Got my fiancee a Moto G for xmas (btw now I'm jealous cuz it's much better than my GS3!)
Anyway, it's got the Google Search app, updated to the latest version, but the Google Now option (in settings) is missing. there are no cards etc.
It works fine on my GS3, so I doubt the issue is location related..
Anyway has the same issue or a way to fix it?

It's either location or Google Account related, if there is nothing to show, it won't show cards.
Did you add Google account in Accounts and Privacy in Google Now settings?

Did you open the "Google Settings" app and click on Search?
I spent ages last night trying to work out why cards wouldn't work, other than the weather. Then i figured out that it thinks in a business account holder.
Anyone know how to fix this? Google now is turned off for your domain
I seem to be on now, still no cards apart from weather :-\

Yes. That is where the "Google Now" option is not available on the Moto G! it is available on my GS3..
Remove then re add the Google account,or try adding a new or alternate Google account
I have tried your suggestions but still have this issue. Also the kit kat update arrived but Google now is still not available! Any other suggestions?

Successful installation of GMS and update to 10.1.0.154, now I am wondering if there is anyway of getting the password vault working for apps(like the huawei one)?
It works. Check in Setting > Privacy > Autofill service from Google.
Only app that doesn't work properly with this is the MyVodafone app for me.
I get "something went wrong" when pushing passwords in Google autofill service tab :/

I have installed a browser, Chrome or Firefox and they do not connect me: certificate problems and someone impersonating my identity is trying to connect.
Does this happen to you?

How do you know if you have new updates of your apps installed ???
If I payed for a app pro at Play Store, do I have it installing the apk ???
I tried to install a browser like Chrome or Firefox but I have certificate issues to connect, which browser are you using ??

Thanks, it seems like a good alternative.
The problem I see is that some apps that I frequently use depend on, for example, Google maps, or some Google services and I couldn't use them, I would probably have to do it through the web browser.
By the way, I wanted to install Chrome or Firefox, and both were showing me certificate errors and 'someone malicious was trying to attack me'. And I have seen the Huawei native browser doesn't work very well for me. Do you or anyone ever use it correctly?

Is Aurora a safe store? I comment on it because it is a way of downloading an apk file, and if I download apks from there without being previously analyzed, my fear is for having malware.

I have exported contact from web portal gmail and than imported in huawei contact app.

Yes vcard file
Aurora is safe . Waze navigation works fine if download it from aurora . Safari works fine too .

use Brave browser which is basically chrome minus all the adds and tracking, and then use apk pure to download all the apps, ive been using the chinese variant of huawei devices for a while and they run perfectly fine without google

For my Banking and Pay app -> I can't install it -> It says that my phone is not safe.
Rain Alarm app -> Weather forecast by satellite in real time with nice graphics -> Play Services needed.
MarineTraffic -> Vessel finder -> Needed Play Services.
Marca app (Spanish sports app) -> My Pro suscription no works without Play Store enabled, and my Yahoo Mail Pro can't manage too.
Push Notifications without Play Services no works.
Some apps that need GPS services, with Google Framework no enabled crashes -> The TIEMPO XL app that I sent you since a few days shows to me that I'm 20 kms far I am now.

I'm sorry for the payment application it's normal the phone is not certified by cons the others I do not know I can not help you but we will not be able to have a 100% functional Huawei mobile
Hello. Today I notice that the Google autofil through my Google account not working anymore. Whet I try to write a username and a password I see the message "Contents can't be autofilled"
Also I notice that in settings/Google/autofil/autofil with Google/Passwords I see the message "unavailable because the device is offline"
I have install the Google services and I have the 11.0.0.168 firmware
Well finally I found what's going on. When I installed the Google services in my P40 pro with a method (e.g. googlefier) I had problem with sync of google contacts . To fix it I have to update my google services application through Play store. But after that is blocking the autofil function of my passwords from my google account. Does anyone knows a solution for this ?

On Mate40 pro (without GMS, off course) I can use Dual space for Google photos and Google drive.

Unfortunately the problem with the backup of Google drive is the same in any way of installing the google services
