can't install purchased apps - OnePlus 7 Pro Questions & Answers

I just got my 7 pro. I'm trying to download my paid apps but I'm not able to. If I try to buy the app again to see if that work. Prompt says I already own the app. Is this a known bug? Is there a workaround? I have a lot of paid apps

You didn't say what exactly happens when you click install. My first thought would be to remove and add my G account, maybe clear the data of Play Store. Then I'd do a simple Google search if that didn't work.

error while retrieving information from server. [RPC]

I seem to be having this strange issue with google market.
if I go to my apps, I only (according to play store) 1 app installed which is nit the case. Secondly, play store seems to think I have never purchased an app, eg, I have purchased titanium back up pro, but the store is yet again asking me to buy it at 4.99 where as it would usualy state 'purchased' and download. Secondly on trying to repurchase it states there was an error with the wallet, i then receive 2 emails a charge mail, and a refund message.
when i log in to the the play store on the web, it clearly shows apps that i have purchased in my account history with no price and the word 'purchased' but if I navigate manually, using search, it will state a price and ask me to pay
also i am using the same google account, i only have one.
below is an image of the error
Same problem, after cleaning cache problem disappears with bringing new one, f*&king blank page! No installed apps nor purchased asking me to buy it again. "All apps" tab is empty too. Damn wtf is wrong lol..
what rom are you using buddy?
I have the same problem.
The Google Play Market support could not help yet.
I think it does not matter what ROM on phone, this is a google play bug.
Yea i suppose, but looking on google play, its not under any known issues :/ looks like it may be a while before its fixed.
I contacted the customer support.
They could not solve the problem yet
it seems that the lost connection between Google account and purchased apps.
I sent some screenshots in Google Play support and I hope that the problem will be solved.
I advise you to contact Google Play support: [email protected]
I think if there is a lot of posts about this issue, it will speed up the solution
phew glad to see I"m not the only one. I'm hit with this as well on THREE different androids (one of whom is stock unrooted so its not my fault rofl).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24058132
I have also realized I am not getting application updates. its rare I go 3 days without a single update, maybe its because it thinks I have not purchased any apps lol
Any chances that your phone market local data is not yet synced properly with the google play ? I have seen that my apps (free or paid) is not listed out immediately right after I do a full wipe or flash a new rom with full wipe. But it will eventually show up itself after awhile with data/wifi connections. I personally didn't know how long it required to sync back but eventually they will appear back when I access the market again after I restored my personal data back.
By the way, did you guys try to check your account and performs a manual market sync in the Account settings section ?
yes yes and yes we've tried all the normal market fixes, downgraded market, uninstalled updates etc.
This issue is visible on multiple droids I own (including one unrooted stock) and on web market as well, its definitely server side
I'll check in on this thread too lol. I'm in exactly the same position. No response from google.

It seems not the same problem. This is another google play problem...
This discussion about the problem when the purchased app not in app-list when I trying to download&install app, google play say that the app is not bought.
Google Play thinks I have not purchased any apps.
I noticed that going to play.google.com and trying to install apps that way would give me errors. Trying to view my apps would have a page error. All my apps on my phone are gone, but my tablet has them oddly. Weird!

I have them on my phone and not my tablet! I think it might be related to market version whether or not they disappear device side. Can only assume the newest versions of market/store download the list from the server, rather than locally. Play.google.com doesn't work for me either.

I am also having the same problem after updating to OrDroid 1.7.5 from 1.7.3 hope this is fixed soon so I can install my apps from my backup.
I'm also have issues with my Galaxy S2 and Xoom
Same problem here with my Defy. I'm on CM7.2 Nightly build.
Just started having this problem a few moments ago on my Xoom. Cannot install any apps from the play market from my PC and keep getting server error when trying to access my apps on my xoom. Not checked my Galaxy S II yet... maybe a problem with Google?

[solved]Can't install any apps other than Google play

Hi,
I am facing a weird issue. As started in heading I couldn't install any app from Amazon, or the apk downloaded..
I already enabled the unknown sources and that's how I was able to install amazon app store earlier.
Now when I choose new app or update an app from Amazon store it asks to replace but I can touch only cancel button. Touching Install button isn't doing anything at all. It's same for the apks I downloaded directly also.
I already restarted my device but same issue. I am running the ICS leak #1, rooted.
I do installed both titanium backup and rom toolbox pro. Is that something to do with this?
Any idea as what could causing this issue?

Try clearing Google Play Store and Google Framework Services data through settings>manage apps>(find both and select clear data)>reboot and see if that helps...

hmm, seems in ICS they changed few things and I am not seeing Google Framework Services in list of apps under settings>apps. I see Google Play store though. How ever I see both in Titanium Backup, I guess its okay to use Wipe data there to have same impact? I'll try on confirmation.
Also just to re-confirm, I can install/update fine in Google Play store. I just can't install/update thru Amazon and direct downloaded APKs...
Also I see Google Play Services there, though I didn't remember installing it. Is this has something to do?

Seems we posted on same time, I just edited second post adding this question..

still clearing google services might help? Just wanted to make sure..
Update:- Following your advice, I just Force Stopped and cleared the Data fro Amazon Appstore (instead of Google Services as suggested). Voila. It fixed the Issue. Now I can update Install fine from Amazon appstore.
Not sure as why that solved the issue on Downloaded APK's also. which seems working fine now. Earlier I wasn't able to select Install button in both cases, Cancel is the only button worked. Glad it worked out now some how

[Q] 403 Play Store Error

Hey all!
I have been reading about that 403 Play Store error that pops up every time you are trying to download an application but I didn't manage to find a solution yet. I didn't wanna also bump old threads that have written about this issue, because most of the stuff mentioned there I have already tried them...I am an owner of a Huawei Ascend Y300 and am trying to download apps from my home network wifi.
So here's what I have done..Since I first experienced it I tried to clear my play store cache in settings, forced stop/clear data in google service framework while all these were done under airplane mode just in case. I also tried to clear my google accounts, try entering alternatives google details (total of 3 accounts with my main one) and none of them managed to download any apps while i was logged in with it in play store. I have also checked my APN settings and my proxy server is at "Not Set". Also tried to clear search history in Play Store just in case again there's an issue. I read also in various threads/sites that this begins after you purchase a paid app from the store? I never bought something, I haven't even linked my card details with it. I wasn't able to download any app from my pc too as well. In the end I desperately proceeded for a factory data reset and I lost all remaining apps I had already installed and the error would would still be there saying hi to me every morning..
Any suggestions on that matter, cause I am reading various stuff, tried everything I read and I nothing so far.
Thanks in advance

Are you rooted? It sounds like your ROM maybe could have had a bad file. I'd re-download the ROM, check the md5 hash, install ROM and try from there. If all else fails, you could try installing Market Unlocker and changing from one market, then back to another.
I believe that the Freedom app can also cause errors like this, so if you have ever used that, this is also a possibility. If you have used Freedom, reinstall it, click start service, then stop it, then uninstall.
Force stop, Clear data and cache for :
-Google Play Store,
-Google Service Framework
-Download Manager
be sure that those services are not inactive!

No I am not rooted. I haven't tried rooting any phones I had although I was thinking doing that soon enough to my current one just to experiment myself with it. Should I root my phone and try troubleshooting that way? I don't know what doors open in front of me with this though and if I will solve anything, so any suggestions are welcome

[Tip]Using Play Store Without Play Services

I came across an interesting workaround today regarding the annoying refusal of Google Play Store to run when Google Play Services is not enabled. Running the following in a terminal will disable a component of Google Play Services that prevents the check when you start the Play Store:
Code:
pm disable com.google.android.gms/com.google.android.gms.recovery.RecoveryService
Note: I have not tested this enough to know if there are any significant drawbacks yet.
I can say that this will finally allow Google Play Services to be greenified (although other components such as Google Backup Transport seems to occasionally prevent greenification). In addition, it seems to stop all those logs from being written to /data/system/dropbox/, which I personally found to be very irritating, and found the alternative solution of setting the folder to read-only to be problematic.
Unfortunately it looks like google play services is necessary to allow you to download apps from the play store. I didn't realize it at first because the checkin service had already done its thing and I was free to use everything until it was time for the next checkin. I'll post here if I find out any way to overcome this, but it looks like Google Play Services is probably necessary for the Play Store to function.

Yeah, there is absolutely no workaround.Play Services forms the core for the Google Playstore App.hence it can't function without it.

Yea, go ahead.
...Just wanna let you guys know, there's a google thread, in which people talk/ed bout the purpose of .services. Turns out you really need that sh*t!XD
It's like a framework you simply need to have installed- just like @donniemceduns said. ^ ^
Off-topic ― now, I'm on CM11, with no Google Play installed, therefore no .services running. I simply installed an alternative market. ^ ^

I tried them all — Mobogenie used to be ****ty, works fine now.
.apk link- DIRECT DOWNLOAD LINK
Has all the apps from Google Play. No sign-in required.
I didn't like it; it's okay now. Use it as my primary market
If you find a better market, make sure to share a link!
didito said:
Thanks for the link. One question though. Lets say I install a kitkat rom. Can I remove all the Play Store services and their dependencies to improve my phone's performance? I plan to do this and let Mobilegenie be my only market. If this is possible how can I remove these services for good?

Hi Didi,
Yea, sure.
You already know this, but for all the people who didn't bother to read the thread, removing .services will result in errors, whenever you try to open a google application(Play store for instance), which requires .services.
I used a kitkat ROM before- deleted all G-apps and installed my alternative market. No errors! ^ ^
As for Mobogenie, it's my primary market on CM11. It features autoupdates, even auto-install if your device is rooted. Sweet! :good:
UPDATE:
Oh, sorry @didito! Didn't notice the "how can I remove these services for good" part.
Install an Uninstaller app for rooted devices( Your device must be rooted).
In-app: Navigate to SYSTEM APPS & remove google play services and google play store.
If you're not sure which app to use, try "Root App Delete".
Question... Or, an observation anyway... Sorry to bring back an old thread but I've been wondering a similar thing
On my newer device, Samsung Galaxy s5 neo, play services are needed to run the play store. *however*, on my older device, Samsung captivate glide, play services are not required to open the store.
Both using stock but rooted software from Samsung.
Why would this be that it's possible on 1 but not the other?
Unless maybe because I have already debloated my older device, maybe removing other gapps is what it would take?
I don't have a data plan and therefore wouldn't use much if any of them (maps, etc)
It just has me wondering what has changed between the 2, and maybe even if I'd be able to use and run my other devices play store app, and then use disable service to stop it from fully updating?
Hmm... I know everyone else has likely given up long ago.... But I've been curious today.

can you install paid apps on Google Play, without Google Play?

I know for free apps you can just get the apk off Apkmirror or something but what about paid apps? Is it possible to buy an app off Google Play using a web browser and install it without the actual Google Play App?
I know there is a convoluted way to install Google Play through a combination of restore and lzplay apps but apparently that involves handing over administrative control to some unknown third party so I'm not sure if I should try that yet.
Phone is Mate 30 Pro 5g.
I don't think so

I got my 30 pro yesterday and did the installation. After you have installed the Gapps, you can just delete the App so it can't harm anybody. Everything except Google Pay works fine.
