Has anyone seen this case or maybe own it?

Nice, I was looking at the Seidio Snap. It looks a little bit better. I liked the smooth and simple back of the Ultra-Case however.

I bought this last week. I hope they also make their iPhone cases fit on the Nexus One.

Just bought one. I like the looks of it.

i pass..looks like a fingerprint magnet. I have a hard enough time keeping the screen clean.

How thick is that case though? I want the thinnest case possible without going the zagg/bodyshield route personally.

Just an FYI. Ultra Case's "The One" case can be found on ebay for around 5 bucks instead of the ridiculous 20 they want on their web site. It wouldn't surprise me if this "black" case is on ebay too.

Thats not the same case from Ultra-case I should be getting the real one this week and I will post some pics. The one in your link is a soft plastic and the Ultra-case is a hard plastic snap-on that only covers the back of the phone and also doesn't cover really any of the bottom, look again. http://www.ultra-case.com/product.php?pID=449

The point I was making is ultra case is selling a $3 case for 20 bucks and it wouldn't surprise me if their "Black" case shows up on ebay for a few bucks too. I already have a nice, blue hard shell case that offers more than just covering the phone's back for 20 bucks.

Solutions to slippery Mi4C

Not sure if others concur, but I find the phone very slippery due to the smooth plastic back cover (referring to white version here, though not sure if colour makes a difference).
Other than installing a 'bumper' style cover that makes the phone much larger (and noticeably heavier), what solutions do you suggest?
Can the back cover be replaced with a Nexus 5 style back cover (if available)? Or are there thin stickers that can instill more grip (e.g. sandpaper finish)?

I got the darker version and yeah, the back is kinda slippery. I also looked for backstickers, like what slickwraps and dbrand are offering, but I didn't find anything.
Today I ordered the official xiaomi plastic cases and I'm curious how thick it will make the Mi4C. Maybe still thin enough that I'll keep it...

I have to admit, I am happy I ordered a case with the phone, in my situation, the Nillkin Frosted Shield. Big improvement, but if dbrand had something, I would be happy!

Yea no problem, I ordered one from China but its still not here so ordered this so should be here next week

I did he same as TheNacho. I bought a Nillkin Frosted Shield and I really like it. In my opinion the case is very thin and gives it a good grip, it also feels like a good quality case with perfect fit.
It do also give a small small edge around the screen, which covers the screen a little bit if you put the phone down with the screen downwards (or if you drop it)

Hm, I really don't know. The phone looks very nice without a case, but it surely look very nice with the case as well

I once bought a 0.3mm ultra-thin case for my Mi4. But it broke pretty soon... maybe 0.3mm is just too thin, I don't know

I've already forgotten the hardcover Yeah, I had both. The hardcover began pretty fast to crack at the corners (because of the pressure?).
The TPU was a bit more stable, but it began to crack near the headphone jack after a while.

@rob rich got it today (came in 3 days) and its bulkier than the image on ebay. The back is not completely transparent like the rest of the case but a foggish white. But I can grip it easily and thats good for me.

I'm not afraid of let it fall (never happens to me) but I'm afraid of scratches on the back and on camera lens without case...
I'm sure there are some cool cases in China, so i would be happy if someone could point me in the right direction.

So you're not happy with the Nillkin case you got? I would suggest taking a look at AliExpress or eBay, loads of cases available there and I'm sure you'll find something good.

The Nillkin case is really fine, but i hate cases in general with a case, every phone looks almost the same

I drop phones but not too much so I always buy a case. O didn't use the mi4c for 2 weeks because my case wasn't here but had to use it in the end.
Anyway, I ordered last month and its still not here yet. Looks slim but won't know till it gets here

Official Google case review and warning

Hi
Thought I would post my experiences of the official google case in more detail.
TLDR short version: It isnt worth the price, scratches easily and could easily scratch the phone. Approach with caution or not at all.
I bought the clear google case alongside my phone today. The case is not worth the premium cost. I know some believe that OEM cases are always over priced however I am not one of those people and tend to prefer official products.
Look
The case is not completely clear it is two tone, clear gloss at the top and matte frosted at the bottom. It looks OK especially if you want to preserve the two tone look of the design choice.
Size
Size is good, it is slim with a slight 'lay on the table' lip.
Feel
It feels very cheap, I would advise against purchasing the case on this issue alone. It has a slight 'lay on the table' design however it is this when your hand rubs against it that feels the most cheap and flimsy, not at all premium, more like $2 case.
Durability
Zero. Mine has already scratched on the gloss portion. I have had the case on for a couple of hours, on a desk and in my hand, as sterile and environment as would be possible. What is worse is the case is scratched on the inside. I only put the case on once and was careful to clean it before hand to check for any manufacturing debris. It hasnt been in a phone or a pocket yet. I am aware of course that debris can over time get into a hard case and you must mitigate against this but there has not been time for this.
Conclusion
Looks OK. Feels cheap and will scratch easily. However ultimately I wouldn't be comfortable putting my phone back in this case. I would be afraid that if this can happen so easily, the phone itself would get scratched up while in this case in no time at all.
I reached out to google to provide this feedback. There was nothing they could do and suggested I post feedback on the google forum as google listens to that. I do not see the merit in it that and despite this post, I am not really a complainer. I do however see merit in posting a review which may assist other people. It is after all an expensive phone going into a not cheap case.

I agree, I got the case for Pixel XL. I like how slim it is, almost like there isn't a case on it. But mine appears to have some wear after just a day and a half. Sucks to have to look for a new case after dropping $30 on this Google one

I remember when i bought the nexus 6p and got the 35 dollar silicone case along with it. It is absolute waste, within a week material started getting faded and scratching. So i explained this to google and they allowed me to return it. I ended getting the Spigen Rugged Armor case for half the price and the quality is 100 times better. Same goes to my Pixel XL i already received the Spigen Rugged Armor case for it now just awaiting for the phone itself

I was disappointed in the build and value, then disappointed by the easy damage and then terrified it would damage the phone. A really bad case in my experience and I normally really like OEM cases. I got a Spigen liquid crystal and while it is a bit bigger and all glossy, it is a much better case for about a 5th of the price.

I didn't buy the case from Google I bought it from a bricks and mortar phone store who wouldn't return the case because it julooked like I scratched it, it did have a scratch on there as I said but that was half of my complaint with the case. I contacted Google as the manufacturer and they didn't want to know. I didn't expect my money back as I didn't pay them but did expect them to offer me a voucher or replacement to try and make amends.

Sorry, no, just because I genuinely do not want to put my phone back in there again. Its cheap and scratchy, it makes a disconcerting scrapping noise against the sides of the phone.

It is the official case. I bought it from Carphone Warehouse in the UK who are the official seller of the Pixel in UK. That is why they had it in stock at launch.

I just filled my RMA too.
For a 45$ case, it's all scratched in under a week of getting in and out of my pants... It shouldn't scratch like that.
I've already order a Spigen one for 14$ instead of the 45$...

I think about carbon. I would like to choose case that will the best protector for my phone. This is the most important for me. I consider only original cases. I will buy original screen protector too.
From specification I see that Bumber Case is heavier 25g vs 11g. So I think that will be better

I've owned both the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 5. In my experience, the bumpers are no more then just fancy shells for the phone that don't exactly feel like the offer that much protection to the phone, and I ended up buying Tudia full body cases for both phones. If you want a OnePlus case though, go with the Silicone one - had that for my OP5 and I loved it honestly. However, I feel that OnePlus cases are more crafted for their style than they are for the protection they offer (which is quite depressing, as the Sandstone cases felt so nice to hold in your hand), so you might want to consider looking elsewhere for a case.
As for screen protectors, the tempered glass ones by OnePlus themselves are usually the best, but a lot of cases don't work with them (including the Otter Box case offered by OnePlus). Third party TGSPs are cheaper, but they aren't 3D and often let dust slip in underneath. I ended up slapping a OnePlus TGSP onto my OP3 and then adding a Tudia full body case with a built in screen protector, and that thing survived so much abuse (and is still kicking actually).
I actually had the Carbon case with a OP tempered glass screen protector on my OP5, and the case did nothing to absorb the impact from a fall at work and shattered the glass. The case was nothing more than a hard plastic shell honestly.
But that's just my two cents

I'm gonna wait for third parties first. Till then a poach is the way for me.

Get the OnePlus carbon bumper, top quality made by EVUTEC. The bumper case protects more. The normal case does not protect the top, bottom and buttons that well.

Looks like the 3rd parties have already gotten started! Just had a look now for mine, and seems like Orzly already have a few up on amazon.
Some are on pre-order but others seem to already be in stock already. (unbelievable how quick some of these 3rd parties are getting organized these days).

You might as well go for a OnePlus case if you're grabbing the phone anyway. You can usually get it cheaper I'd you buy it bundled with a screen protector or something, too.
Spigen typically does make cases for OnePlus devices, but if I remember correctly, they took *forever* to release one for the OnePlus 5. I don't remember seeing one for sale until at least six months after the OP5 launched.

I like the looks of nylon case, and expect it to feel great in hand , if I go by reviews. It also offers decent protection and is the most unique OnePlus case this year IMO

It looks like they actually offer some decent protection this year too — they cover all edges of the phone, whereas previous cases tended to leave the top and bottom edges exposed.

Yeah, I plan to widen my support this year to at least two devices with Qualcomm.
HTC u12+ and oneplus 6 are the chosen ones to mess with some kernel stuff as usual

I agree the nylon case is stunning. But don't forget to factor in it is PC+TPU case while the Carbon Fiber is only a TPU case. But because of this, the Nylon case is 58.5% thinker and 28% heavier than the Carbon Fiber one. Now we are talking about millimeters and grams, so they aren't going to be drastically different, but it swayed me.

Nylon. It has a soft touch lining and that rugged shell - also full coverage. Looks nice too.

I got my 6 a day early and also got the nylon case. Very, very cool.

I ordered carbon Bumber Case. I think carbon will be better, more durable material thank nylon one.

I preordered the case and got it today. It's awesome. Just what i wanted. I took the frosted one , i wanted to keep the white look of the phone. All the cases i found had that ugly shiny texture. Wow that's a super good deal. You'll love it. It's so much better in real and the texture is really amazing.
I have this case since day one and no problems what so ever. To be honest I love this case so much I'm super gentle when putting my phone down lol.

Do you like them? Can you show me how the black one looks like?

Does this case protect the camera glass a little ? Or is it so thin that the camera glass touches the surface on which the phone is put?

It's got a very slight raised lip around the camera cutout which means that the camera glass is protected. Definitely don't think that this is the strongest case on the market, but since the back of the phone is plastic not sure how strong a case needs to be.

These are on Amazon under a diff name for cheap. I can't post links cause I'm new, but just search "Slim Fit Google Pixel 3a". It was about $8 when I got it, but seems to have jumped up to $13.
Absolutely love mine. The milky white case on a white 3a is so dam sexy. Be careful putting it on, as I cracked my first one (they replaced it free ), as it's a super tight fit. Use the little tool it comes with.
If you love minamilistic, this is the case to get. Keeps the back nice and dry, where the stock back gets greasy after a few days from hand oils building up. This case stays dry for weeks and you don't have to constantly clean it.

If you are comfortable with Taobao, I bought a exactly same case on Taobao for 28 CNY (~4 USD).
Very slim and good looking case.
