One UI 2.0 navigation bar gestures not working - Samsung Galaxy S10e Questions & Answers

Hey all
The navigation bar gestures on my unlocked S10e randomly stopped working. They worked last night. I rebooted the phone and issue persists. The weird thing is that if I switch back to buttons, they work fine. Currently on One UI 2.0 so I can't run NavStar. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Update: Power cycling the phone seems to have fixed the issue. Thread can be closed.

Hardware keyboard not responding

I'm having a strange issue with my HW keyboard.
The keyboard is working fine most of the time. But there are moments it doesn't respond (ones a week).
Example: When I open the keyboard and start writing a mail it's working fine. But after two rows text it's just not reacting anymore. Even the keyboard-backlight is turning off.
When I close and reopen the keyboard it's still not working. Even the keyboard-backlight stays off after pressing any hardware button.
Solution: Wait for 15minutes.
Tried fixes for HW keyboard lag without success.
This is what I have:
T-mobile NL rom
Rom: 1.69.114.6 NLD
Radio: 1.02.25.19
Is there anyone else experience this issue with a T-mobile ROM?
Or is there a fix for this.
Thanks in advance
Assume you have WiFi on? Go into the WiFi settings and the power mode of the WiFi, if it is set to best performance change it to best battery, or do the opposite. Not 100% sure why this works but its something to do with power and comms interferance.
Mmm have seen this fix before in other threads.
Somehow i'm losing network connection when I switch the energie bar to someting else then "Best performance". Think it have something to do with my old wireless router. Will test this today on my work. Thank Gav_
Hi there,
I have seen a simular issue on my Touch Pro as well - Keyboard is not responding as soon wifi is turned on manually.
I have encountered this first while using IM (Beejive and also QIP). Having data connections turned on and activating wifi while data connections are on will stop the keyboard from responding.
Solution for me is to turn off either the data connection after turning on wifi and / or switching wifi on/off two times.
I use the stock rom and wifi energy option is set to best battery. Is this a known issue that the keyboard has glitches with wifi?
Rom: 1.90.407.4 GER
Radio: 1.02.25.19
Performence bar
Changed the energie bar a few times yesterday. To test on which position this issue appears.
And guess what?
Keyboard stopped responding when the bar was placed on the "best performance" position.
I've configureerd it to "best battery" (think this is the name, I'm having the Dutch Rom )
Still don't understand what Wifi have to do with the keyboard. Is WM using the same driver to start / stop Wifi or keyboard?
Anyway I think/hope it's solved by setting the performance bar to "best battery".
Thanks guys
still have issues with hw keyboard
I have an unsolved Issue with the Hardware Keyboard of my HTC Fuze.
When i turn on the Wifi, the HQ keyboard becomes totally unresponsive and unusable. Keyboard lights turned off, and i have to Reset or turn off the Wifi in order to get the Keyboard back to function. (it back to life after couple of minutes)
I have searched for any possible solution in the forum and google without luck
i have tried all fixes i have found in this forum so far:
-modify the up/down repeat rate
-disabling t9/cleartype
-adjusting wifi to middle, better battery and better performance
-RR Keyboard Speed Increase.cab
After all this attempts, my Keyboard still tend to die. Anyway it works well with the Data Plan, with no Lag at all. So is definitely a Wifi Issue.
Hardware keyboard Not working for Htc touch pro
Hi, My HTC touch pro slid out keyboard was working fine but after updating ROM to English it had stop working. can anyone tell me what is the problem?
I've been having intermittent keyboard issues for a while. Sometimes it won't respond until a sort reset while other times it'll just suddenly start working again. I had no idea it was a WiFi related issue. My Kaiser did the same sometimes.
Now the damn spacebar is playing up. It either identifies a press as two spaces requiring the use of the delete key every time or it just won't recognise key presses. It's infuriating. Anyone come across this before or will it require a manual (warranty) fix?
keyboard issues
I had issues with my keyboard stopping intermittently it would work sometimes and not others. It would rotate screen when I popped it out then it wouldnt type and a few seconds later the backlight on the kbd would go out. I flashed to a different rom and that helped sometimes but not others. Then right before going to sprint and asking for a replacement I flashed back to their stock rom for a week, still no kbd. But magically when I re-locked the phone the keyboard is back to normal.. still had the phone swapped out just incase it was something else. I hardly ever use the wifi so I don't think that was my issue, it was off the whole time I had the issue. New phone works great.

[Q] Sygic menu skew in landscape mode

Hi,
I'm currently running CM 10.2 nightly (10.2-20131017 GSM) the only app that seems to have a bug when switching to landscape mode is Sygic: GPS Navigation (13.2.1). In portrait mode everything is fine but when I switch to landscape in menu the whole screen is skewed (top part of the screen is kicked to the left). This problem occures only in menu, while showing the map everything is fine. I'm guessing this is a Sygic bug not the ROM, if so than I'm gonna contact their support. Can anyone confirm the problem?
Sorry the screenshot function produces only a grey background.

I've reported this issue to Sygic already on March 26th 2013 (for version 13.1 where the bug was introduced).
It seems to be an issue of Sygic with any device that uses 540 x 960 display and virtual navigation bar ( => devices without hardware navigation buttons). It happens on stock firmware as well as on CM.
Unfortunately, it has not been fixed yet and the only practical advice from Sygic was to downgrade to 12.2.1.
Please report it to Sygic as I did, maybe they'll fix it in end.
To workaround this issue in CM, I take advantage of Expanded desktop mode (with Status bar visible) combined with Pie controls.
When the navigation bar is hidden, the Sygic menu screen is rendered correctly.

No need to downgrade or switch (which is not an option when you've paid for the app anyway.)
I'm happy with Sygic and it works very well for me on CM 10.2 in expanded desktop mode with pie controls.
I'll bump my Sygic support case today, it already takes too long.

I've also send a complained hope this gets resolved soon. What a great peace of hardware but between this and the quiet microphone it's lacking basic functionality

UPDATE
Just wanted to let you guys know this issue has been fixed with CM11. Unfortunatly this app isn't the most stable and keeps crushing on exit and sometimes while in menu.

System Unresponsive with 5.1 Stock Rooted

Anyone having the same issue and have found a solution?
Phone suddenly stuck at some instances even with non-extensive usage.
Yesterday I was only using Facebook app. When messenger bubble pop up, my phone suddenly spiked. Moved once and then it got stuck already. You'll notice that it's not Facebook app only that's not functioning since nav. buttons are also stuck. You can't go press home and clear recent apps/hibernate apps. Power and volume buttons are also not functional.
So I assume the main system crashed. I only did a long press on power button to restart.
I installed Franco kernel r73, and thought that issue would only occur with stock kernel.
However, it occurred again today, I was viewing photos in Stock Photos app. I haven't started viewing the first 10 images yet, so memory should not be consuming that much. I turned on the auto rotate to view the image larger. When I turned the phone landscape, it reacted like it's about to rotate. And suddenly it got stuck. This time, power button is functional. It turns the screen on and off but it still turns to the same stuck screen, not the lock screen.
I've been experiencing this since 5.0.1. and almost everyday since I updated to 5.1.
I'm not sure if this is a hardware issue on my unit since mine is already about 1 year and a half old. I don't want to buy another phone yet!
Or is this a common issue nowadays due to Lollipop upgrade. If so, then could you provide temporary fix before they update this on 5.1.1.
Thanks a lot!
I had something similar . When I put forward the curtain hangs notice and then everything worked fine
Meh
I've seen this behavior on my Nexus 5 only on 5.1, and I'm pretty sure, it was introduced with that specific lollibug version. It's really annoying, that you have to reboot the phone every two or three days to avoid the freezes.
There's already in issue for that, it has got the ID 161032.

Screen backlight stays on!

Hello!
My oneplus one is having this issue for a while now, When I plug it in and lock the device, there is a 60~70% chance that the display stays on but its just blank, I have to unlock it and lock it again to fix it.
Recently this also started happening when it was not charging and the screen would often stay on causing massive battery drain :/
This happens on every single rom all the way from CM11S up to CM13 and also oxygen os,...
Does anyone know what the problem is?
Thanks,
Noahvt
I have the same problem since I can remember, also looking for an answer.
I have a similar issue. Sometimes the screen stays on, but is dimmed. A simple double press of the power button resolves it (turn on full, turn off screen) but its mildly irritating. I have only noticed it since being on sultanxdas cm12 ROM. I had an issue with a notification LED app not working since a recent ROM update so uninstalled it. Maybe the issue was related to that app as I cant remember the issue occurring since I uninstalled it a few days ago.

[resolved] Problem turning on the screen with touch

When I wake up the cell phone it gives a bug
I have this problem I don't know why
I thought it was the September update, but I installed the October patch and the same thing happens
I think it's root. Has anyone had this problem? Do you know how to solve?
I've already tried changing the unlock type
Video of what's happening
This problem only does not happen when I leave the option always display active
Edit: I just installed the clean flash from the rom stock and it still has the same problem
resoved:
well i think i figured out what causes this bug on the lock screen. I tested several things, uninstalled LSxposed, root, applications etc. But nothing solved. So I put in gesture navigation as I only use buttons. And that was it, after I put the gesture navigation there was no more problems
