yeah its broken, most commonly damage for slide platform,..i need them badly
and also for my xt872 / droid 3 where to get the flex cable for that also,.
i've check few websites and i still need reference
if the goods will be working and delivered well to my beloved country Indonesia - Jakarta

i've purchased the items from parts4repair and it seem i bought the wrong one,.
picture attached is the front camera installed in my previous one and none in the new part,.
the connector seems well pressed and i has take out the black sticker from the previous and i dont know how to release the camera
i dont want to make mistake because i have to wait another 16 days for the parts to be shipped if i broke it,.
please advise ..

just to remind which flex cable
as you can see,
the two types are with and without the front cam,
i suggest you buy the one with front cam because its not easy to get stick and precise the lines,.

my modded q (thanks CornholioGSM) seems to have the same problem:
no screen, no light
still working: adb, digitizer (touch)
My problem: the flex-cable seems fine, not broken, all insulation there ...
does someone have an idea what to do/check?

Hi, thanks for answering - do you have a parts number - or tipp where to find a replacement cable (shipping to germany)

0) I wrote a whatsapp message, then put it on the table. Next time I wanted to use it - no screen

2) yes, I disassmbled it - after the screen stopped to work, bit didn't fully disassmble the screen-part
3) precision of touch is as before (because of this I hope there might just be a loose connection in the display-part - I checked the mainboard conections)
4) as I did not yet put the cable fully out, I'm not sure, but the flexing part seemed fine
5) thanks for the tip with the tutorial on repairuniverse.com, I used a youtube video
6) no need to check with CornholioGSM, I only used the phone modded and it worked fine (still does - except the screen part ^^ )

hey there,
looks like i got the same problem. i only can be the flex cable in my case - when the phone is opened, there are no problems, when i close the phone, or blur the display part a little, the screen goes off, the digitizer stops working, and when i'm in a call, i notice that the phonespeaker/mic are dead.
after a few minutes of waiting the phone freezes, and i have to reboot it when its slided out, or it won't recognize the screen and keeps black...
DAMN dat. i got it in december, but i'm a heavy user. i disassambled the back part and took a look, but i think its broken on the other side.
that flex cable at parts4repair is out of stock.... hope they'll have it soon..

I dissasembled mine too, but i cant see anything on the cable... but i'm sure it is the fault. i sent parts4repair.com a message over their contact formular a few days ago, but they didn't reply yet..

Galaxy S6 (SM-G920F) Random FREEZE

hi guys.
first of all im very happy with this phone, extremely fluid near the stock android experience.
but i would like to know if im not the only one with this "little problem".
sometimes while using the phone (it happened only 3 times), i remember while im downloading an app, like a game (2 gb for example), sometimes it stuck, the phone become unresponsive, connection (wifi) turns off, the speaker makes a strange sound (like buzz), and then after a bunch of seconds the phone return back, wifi reconnet, and the app (game or other) starts download.
anyone with this?

Status of the Pixel XL Battery Shutdown Bug

Anyone know just how widespread the issues are? Is it too risky to buy?

I have had the VZW Pixel 128GB from the day of release, installed all the updates as they were released. I have experienced no issues whatsoever in all the time I have had it. I have unlocked, rooted, unrooted, installed 2 different custom kernels and stock. Through all this I have had 0 issues with the phone. I love it.

It is not a major Pixel issue. It is a minor Android 7 issue. It is happening at low levels to a few phones. I don't even recall seeing anyone in these pixel forums about it.

I have this issue, on the regular (non-XL) Pixel. I first noticed it between Christmas and NYE, the device shut down at around 20% battery. It's now happening almost every time the battery drops below 25%, albeit at slightly different capacities each time (between 18-25%). This morning I used the "chat" option to discuss with Support, without noticing the new security patch released this morning. So now I'm running my battery down and waiting to recreate the issue. Support played dumb and said they hadn't heard of the issue.

Did the security patch help? I had the same issue on my 5" Pixel (around 10% though) and did a factory reset (with only the most necessary apps installed), since then the problem is gone. BUT i also received the January security patch on the same day, so i don't really know what fixed it.
What i also recognized on my screenshots and my others that were posted on this matter, is the wrong Awake/"Aktiv" indicator before the shutdown happened (see the attached screenshot). IMO, this may point to a software issue, not an actual faulty battery or cool temperatures.

I am use XL device . this issue happen to me 3 times . first time was before a month when the battery come to 50% the phone shut down
second time was before tow days and the same issue happened before 3 hours :crying::crying:
I dont know if the hardware problem or software problem

Nothing new that i know of, i didn't run into this problem since the factory reset. Maybe, in some cases, it's a hardware issue after all? Does your awake-log look faulty as well?

Yes, exactly the same as you described, even with the false activity line as shown on your picture. Does this work now too after your factory reset?

I find it a bit weird that this is not a bigger topic on XDA, there are a "lot" of posts in the issue tracker, the pixel user community and even a some on reddit from time to time.

Okay, I'm not 100 % sure but I think this happened first time after the February update. Looks like I should do a factory reset. Let's see if this works for me as well.

primary microphone not working :/

hey! I have recently dropped my Xperia Z5 E6653 and had to get the display repaired!
now I found out that the notification led is dead (not a big deal) and nobody can hear me during a call! I tested it usng the service menu and the secondary microphone works fine but the other one does not! thats why I ordered a new one for 15 buck s and installed it myself (it is placed net to the charging port) but it still isnt working! I have already resetted the phone and downgraded to marshmallow but no succes what can cause the trouble?

Same here. Replaced my broken display. Mic not working anymore. Bought a new one but that is not working either. Anybody has an idea what's wrong?

it is definetly not a software issue! I've tried several ftf files and none of them fixed the problem...

Error this I have been try multiple and last instead of microphone, all problems was been recovered.

just a piece of advise, if your phone is doing good, then there is no point to upgrade. my upgrades killed the SOT, and i have to factory reset it.
just bear in mind there is no way u can downgrade or anything

Yes I’m not gone upgrade to future version until Android P arrived(wherever take that).
Vivo lately fix something and broken something else with September software update.
I’ve made the last one because I had trouble with push notifications from various app that from time to time didn’t work normal and was really annoying.
I’m talking for previous version 1.18.4 that got earlier September.
With all previous version didn’t had any kind that issue.
Fortunately current newer version seems until now resolved that issue had with 1.18.4.
I’m gone monitoring it.

I started the update and then I've read your warnings:silly::silly:
Reboot correct for now
I noticed a very fast gps localization as I launched Google Maps probably faster than before. I had some disconnection during my bike sessions. I'll tell you later if it has improved
Tell me if you want me to test something in particular

This update is supposed to bring better network speed and call quality and bluetooth...
I have not tried any of those really I cant comment on those, but maybe I imagine things but it feels that the last update was faster then the new one... maybe.. it will feel as fast again after I let it run for a while.. and I have put all apps in memory etc...
Snapchat did lagg litte bit.. first time... it did not with the last rom..so.. I dont know.. maybe it will be back to same speed tomorrow.
so take this with a grain of salt but I would like to try the two roms side by side and compare app opening times etc.

2nd day everything runs good as suspected it takes some time to fill up Dalvik chache for the system.
Only lag I see is in snapchat..but it could be that snapchat is just a crap software... I cant remember if it did lag before I think not..
Battery life feels better now, maybe it is because I run Rootless Pixel launcher now, but it feels better then before also.
I see no reason to not install this update.

Yes, this version finally has LDAC support！

unfortunately I had problems after this update. Whatsapp notifications not received anymore, only when I wake up the terminal, I find them since hours.. I had to sell it.

I don`t have problems with notifications, just because after a update I do a factory reset . If you have issues.....I recomend a factory reset
