TWRP issue...no data transfer - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Redmi note 7 pro
Everything was perfectly fine until today when I booted into twrp to flash a new rom and forgot to copy the rom.zip.
So from twrp itself I connected the usb cable to my Win10 PC, it detected my phone but in My computer/ Windows Explorer, phone wasn't showing up to copy the data from my pc.
I tried different usb ports but same issue.
I booted into phone os and then tried and then it showed into windows explorer.
Its only that from twrp it isn't showing in explorer where earlier it used to show to copy files.
What could be the reason? How to solve this.

after you get into the TWRP you need to navigate to Mount options and then turn on MTP there.

Once u boot into recover go to Mount options and then turn on MTP there. if this also dont work check ur driver installed in pc or not also try formatting data at worst case.

NEXUS S bricked? Can't be detected on PC

Hi everyone,
I have a Nexus S i9020T that I think I have bricked. What I did is that I was trying to flash a ROM and by mistake I formatted the SD, and USB storage. And since then when I reboot, I only see the GOOGLE sign with a blue bar underneath. I have the clockworkmod working for me but I can't mount my USB storage or SD card to copy any files from computer because the computer does not detect it. I installed ADB properly, and I had PDAnet installed as well. but for some reason when I try to open PDAnet, it gives me errors and asks for reinstallations as there are files that are in conflict or something. and now I have a device that can't be detected on computer but can be rebooted in to recovery. I will be grateful if one of you guys helped me out with this.
here are drivers maybe different than what you have

TWRP 2.5.0.0 and mount USB storage

Most of the times when I select USB storage in TWRP 2.5.0.0, nothing happens. The drive doesn't show up and nor does the USB attachment icon in the notification area of my PC. Works fine on other versions though. Any ideas?

I'd be more inclined to try another PC. Maybe some driver you installed is causing issues. When you mount your phone, go into your device manager and try deleting any phone devices or storage that appear, then reconnect and maybe it will install the correct driver.

Maybe he could also try using a toolkit?

Tried reflashing. In fact it even happened before I had my phone's motherboard replaced. Only on 2.5.0.0, regardless of which PC I use. Other versions of TWRP work fine.

Somehow CWM/TWRP recoveries were always fu*** up for me when it comes to USB connection ... Theoretically it depends on your PC drivers when its not working and you got the newest version of TWRP.
I cannot access files via usb storage in twrp, an unknown device appears in device manager on pc it named "One S" but it's unknown and nowhere to find a f**in driver for it... I cannot install ANY os on the phone now and I'm feeling very stupid. OTG doesn't work I cannot tick USB OTG in Mount menu, what a damn phone..............

Did you try another computer?
That happens to me if I have the phone locked when I plug it in. As soon as I unlock the phone the internal storage pops up. If that isn't what is happening to you then I don't know what the problem is.
i suggest u to try AirDroid instead. It seams wireless without needing usb cord.

Flash from twrp menu possible on Nexus 5?

Hi.
I needed to wipe phone and may have been too successful.
I have access to a twrp menu. I would appreciate any help I could obtain to flash this phone with an Android operating system. I have that image downloaded but I'm having trouble flashing it to the phone. Any help would be great.
(No OS on device.)
Did you wiped data partition also? Does PC recognizes phone?
You can use this method 1 if You dont care about your personal stuff from /data partition, ( you lost twrp also ) http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701
or use this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...e-update-rooted-device-to-5-1-lmy47d-t3050789
Data partition is wiped. Phone not recognized by computer. Thx for the links. I got stuck during the process.
Ofcourse

I think he already have wiped his phone so there is no need to do it again.
So jst go to "Install" and pick your downloaded ".zip" file.
If you dont have the ".zip" on your device you can try to mount your USB storage.
Thx so much for the tips. I had located the great link provided. Is there anyway that I can move an unzipped hammerhead image to the phone and then unzip on the phone? The stumbling block for me may be that phone has no micro SD slot (to unzip from) and phone is not recognized by computer (running win 7).
For example, with the phone connected with USB to the computer, is there any way to do drag and drop zipped hammerhead file to phone and unzip w twrp.
Thank you for patience with a person new to forum.
I assumed that I could not access a zipped file on computer and use twrp to unzip and proceed. I tried the unzip twrp toggle and could not pull from computer (or at least it was not apparent to me how to do it.)

OK, if I´m correct, the device is not recognize by the computer, but TWRP is already installed. So what you want is to transfer a zip file with the image to the device. Have you tried OTG? TWRP can mount the USB, so you can download the zip file to a mciro sd and us OTG to flash it with TWRP.
Have you tried different USB cables, different USB ports, and different drivers in order to get the phone recognized on your computer?

transfer internal memory from a device

Hi, my device's screen broke and I got a new phone, I want to transfer some media from my old OPO to my new device, but I cannot use the computer because it wont recognize the OPO as a MTP ( since the nwe Marshmallow default usb thingy) so.. when connecting to PC it sees the device but doesnt allow acces to the storage thus I cannot pull files from it..
any suggestions?
