How to Root Xperia U
Dude please let me know your rooting procedure of Xperia U , now i am with successfully unlocked bootloader .

How to fix infinite bootloop problem in Sparkle V. Please help.

Hi all,
I have a sparkle v which is unrooted and also I don't have any software like cwm.
My phone is stuck in an infinite bootloop. I tried removing the battery, going to recovery mode and factory resetting it and clearing cache.
None of those worked. Please help.
Please explain it briefly.. when it occurs..?? i.e after any update u done
My phone started becoming laggy and not very responsive after I received a 18 mb update which when I tried to install always bought an error during restart - a dead bot icon was shown.
I searched online and many people faced the same. So essentially I wasn't able to install that update and it showed in the taskbar to install the same. However one day that notification disappeared. Maybe it was a problem with low internal memory.
This infinite boot problem occurred after that.

Could you please tell me where I can find how to flash my rom to stock Lollipop or K?
I was able to find this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9Co-2QBRZU
He uses SP flash tool and does it for a micromax A1. Will it work for Sparkle V too?
1. What drivers do I need and will the one he used for micromax work for me too?
2. Can my phone get 'hard bricked' during this process?
Thanks
use this to get rom link http://forum.xda-developers.com/sparkle-v/general/stock-firmware-t2889509
for adb driver use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...l/tutorial-unlock-bootloader-install-t2895763
sp flash tool will work for sparkle v too
for instructions http://androidxda.com/flash-stock-rom-using-smart-phone-flash-tool
I understand what stock rom and sp tool mean (or do), but what is this custom recovery for? Is it required to flash my rom with the stock one?
1) Also once again Can my phone get 'hard bricked' during this process?
If you would like you could have a look at the YT tutorial for a few minutes and let me know if it is safe to try that out? He doesn't mention any ADB drivers.
2) Is ADB driver universal for all phones?
3) Is there anything else to install? In the thread you linked it said install as usual for Mediatek devices. I'm assuming sparkle v is also one of them

i think you r new to flashing..
stock rom or stock os (kk or lollli or m) is the one came with or distributed by the ur phone brand ie.. here google... it helps you to get back to your phone to original state if ur software is corrupted that is laggy or force close restarting ... if u use ur stock rom it doesnt void ur warranty...
custom recovery means user defined one to install custom rom on ur mobile(user created one for ur mobile) it helps ur to backup ur mobile rom or datas etc..
dont fear while flash the mobile follow the instruction as instructed if not possiblity to get ur phone soft or hard bricked do it at ur own risk..
in ur referred video link he gave the links below the video for driver , flash tool , rom... he said about driver installation on starting the video
sparkle v also the same mediatek for more info download cpu-z app from store or google ..
download both stock kitkat and lollipop rom for ur sparkle v which is present in sparkle v cross development search there or use my above links ....slowly read the steps in the links and flash ur mobile...
Hi,
Thanks, I will try the steps and really looking forward to it working.

Installing M preview?

Am I missing something or is it not possible to install the m preview on the Z5 yet?
I tried following the steps on the sony developer page (developer.sonymobile.com/2015/10/12/aosp-android-6-0-marshmallow-resources-xperia-z5-binaries-added-to-sonys-open-device-program/), but when I get to the point of starting the phone in flash mode with Emma, I get "No available services matched the connected device".
Am I doing something wrong here or is there another way to use the binaries from Sony to install the M preview? I looked at flashtool, and also found xperifirm, but neither of those seem like they would be able to install these binaries.
Uhm, those are binaries. Not ready to flash firmwares. You need to build it yourself.
http://developer.sonymobile.com/knowledge-base/open-source/open-devices/
All you need is there.
Tried to follow that, ended up with some errors, first had to remove he space before the semicolon in
Code:
device/qcom/sepolicy/common/init_shell.te
, and after that, started running into the same problems as these guys, looks like M isn't ready to be built yet.
You can use it on Z3 but I realize that doesn't help us.

new to the z3

New to this phone since my note got stolen
What do you all recommend to get the most out of this phone?
Any roms or updates or tricks etc
Thanks all!
If you have or want to unlock your bootloader, I would recommend to flash a rom based on Stock with the Elitekernel v3.
With this you can get the most out of our device. (Some rom examples: Existenz, Slimm, Purex, Fragment)
After installing one of them, you can flash a soundmod, if you are not satisfied with the roms built in. (dontbelive soundmod v22 - loudest, v17 - more bass)
For a much better camera, I recommend Cyberian camera 4.2
Try some of the roms, because all our devs made an big effort for us and every Rom, has his own great features. Good luck!
Awesome thank you for the advice.. I just noticed that my T-Mobile z3 doesn't get updated past 5.0.2; how can I go about going to Marshmallow and adding all those awesome things you all got going on here.
Sorry I am very new to Xperia.. This is my very first sony phone

1st of all, i would not advice you to unlock your bootloader at this point, most custom roms for z3 doesn't re1quire that, unless you want to flash CM or AOSP.
at 1st test the roms mentioned before on your normal locked phone then you'll learn through posts on the board what unlocking will benefit you (and if it will), i don't have an unlocked bootloader and in my sign you'll see i have a custom rom and few mods flashed...
Now how do you get that...
1st you need to go to settings >about phone > and make sure youre device is D6603 (because there're several version of z3 and each one require patches when flashing roms)
if its, Go to this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292598
and back up your TA partition, this is suggested because this partition gets wiped if at any time you did unlock your bootloader, and when that happens, it contains keys unique to each device that if lost you can never get you device back to the locked state. and you could lose some features (currently there's a fix for not losing any features)
2-Now you need to root your phone , follow the instruction on the following thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/general/guide-rootrecovery-how-to-root-install-t3017056
although you can skip the step of downgrading your firmware (because you should already have the original one)
after you successfully root your phone go to the following thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606
and install recovery (instruction is there)
after you've done that, you are ready...
go to the development section
http://forum.xda-developers.com/z3/development
where you'll find different roms, you can flash with the latest Android 6.0.1 for z3 (make sure it's not CM or AOSP so you don't need to unlock the bootloader)
you can check the one on my sign, it natively comes with a lot of customization features.
whcn you chose a rom, just download it and go to recovery (TWRP) and flash it (follow the rom developer instruction on how to flash on the rom thread)
if you get stock or wonder about steps at any of the steps ask on the specified thread and people will help
So my device is the tmobile z3; what's the best I can hope as far as development and new ROM?

How can I root my flashed Sony Xperia XZ Premium ?

Hello everybody,
As you can see in the title I am searching to know how i can root my Sony Xperia XZ Premium G8141 47.1.A.12.34, that I have flashed thanks to this thread : https://forum.xda-developers.com/xz...shtool-0-9-t3736217/post75276892#post75276892
After Flashing the photo camera doesn't take pictures anymore (take green photos but video works) but I know that this is a DRM problem. I find a tutorial on XDAdevelopers that tell you how to root and fix the DRM on a Sony Xperia XZ Premium : https://forum.xda-developers.com/xz...hack-mod-sony-xperia-xz-premium-twrp-t3695171
I Checked first if my Sony was compatible with this tutorial, read everything before doing stupid things and all seams to be ok. I downloaded the XperiFix, installed it and put my device on fast boot mode before I launched the program. But after the rooting process, when my device was rebooted, the camera problem was still present and my device wasn't rooted too.
So I want to know if anyone have the same problem or know how to fix that or have an alternative solution. Is it the flash tool that I used that isn't compatible with the Xperifix software or something else ?

Well you unlocked your bootloader.
unlocking the bootloader will erase the TA partition which includes camera features (DRM), and now they are deleted along with whats left in TA partition.
now you can not go back to a natural device.
good news is if you follow the procedure properly on this link:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xz...hack-mod-sony-xperia-xz-premium-twrp-t3695171
(2. Use XperiFIX to get what you want)
then you should get your DRM fix patch, read the thread carefully, youre gonna have to do it all over again as you lost TA partition which you can never get back now.
So go do procedure 1 + 2 carefully, you will get it fixed and you will also have a rooted phone
if its not working try to flash a previous version FW that supports xperifix im not sure the one you have is supported but most likely it is, then redo the process in the thread and see if it works out.
hit the thanks if I was a help

Thanks for the help and for the very quick reply !
I'll try too flash a older version firmware for my device, but I didn't find links to download the right version for my actual firmware (G8141 47.1.A.12.34), so I want to no if it's a problem to take an other version (as exemple G8141 47.1.A.12.34 from XperiFirm) and flash it to my device ?

i rechecked and i think the xperifix should work on any firmware so try it out
if you are unlocked just download the xperifix on that link and just run it as instructed and it should work
also check if you followed correctly:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=8&v=XeYlIHnSuOM
also check if you installed the firmware that suits your device G1841/G1842 they are 2 different things
flash whats suited.
if that didnt work, you can download the firmware in the video using xperifirm and do the procedure again.
and to answer your question, i dont really understand you already have 47.1.A.12.34 why would you want to install it again? im not getting the question...
