[Q] How to Double Battey Life While S6 With Non-removable Battery?

I may stick with my G3 because of the bad news that S6 lost an option to replace battery, though the S6 does look great in my eyes. As for a non-removable phone, is there any ways to double the battery life since we cannot simply swap extended batteries? Will this kind of accessory do any good?

pretty simple.. buy a phone with removable battery.. S4, S5, Note4, etc. or stick with your S3 is also another option..

Of course wit will work.
Why do you even need something like that? I understand if you go on somewhere far away with no electricity, but why do you need it for daily usage?
Also it is not just about the hardware, if you optimize the software, you will get great battery usage time...
Just root your phone, uninstall all apps that you don't need and install greenify to make the apps sleep that you don't need running in background all the time. I use my HTC M7 like that and get 2 days on battery even though i stream music over bluetooth and use WhatsApp and 9gag very often...

Here is another option;
The Mophie Juice Pack uses a proprietary Impact Isolation System that works like an internal suspension to protect your handset, while at the same time it is making sure that your phone is powered up to handle all of the mobile tasks you need to get done. Mophie is part of Samsung's SMAPP program, consisting of the manufacturer's strategic partners. This means that only Mophie will be offering a battery charging case for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge when both phones launch on April 10th. The case for either device will be priced at $99.95 and will be available starting on that date from Mophie's online store, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, Best Buy and other retailers.
I'm going to go out on a limb once my GS6 come
You can get a case with a built in extended battery, carry an external battery that you plug in once in a while, or get an external battery/wireless charger combo like one of these:

http://www.amazon.com/Qi-infinity-Portable-compatible-including-receivers/dp/B00K8HG8YW
Each option has pros/cons, but hopefully one will work for you...

Where to buy genuine s7 edge battery?

Hey guys, so I bought a used s7 edge battery which has like 2950mah left and I installed it on my phone. I'm seeing great results so far but I want to buy a new one, original one that will give me even better results.
Can someone post a link where to buy it?
Thanks in advance
Hi
I've answered this many times...
Go here to buy a genuine S7 Edge Battery
http://www.samsungparts.com/mobile/Products.aspx?part=PID-GH43-04575A.aspx&model=SMG935F
They work with Samsung USA to provide original parts. I've contacted Samsung USA customer service myself.
The price is high but that is to get a original and not a copy.
They only ship to the US so if you live outside the US you need to use Shipito

How much is the back cover sticking out? A picture of it, perhaps?
This sounds like an awesome mod - in a few months, I may do this myself, as the battery on this 2 year old device is going south by the day.
does wireless charging work with this battery mod?

On the side where the battery is, it's just a bit thicker but with a cover it's not problem at all.
But battery life is great great.
Search on YouTube "swap s6 battery with s7 edge". There is a guy who made a video for it.

Personally I removed nfc and wireless charging thing to give it more space since I never use them
you can buy on your local samsung A.S.P.
if you are measure your battery with an app. Probably it wont measure right value. Becouse apps are using other apps consumption metric which is measured from android system. But not measuring systems itself in most case.
FYI.
i am using s7 edge battery on my s6 and i bought it from original samsng service , so its original. but measurement apps says that its 3050 - 3250. so i dont trust this app. you can only measure correct values with hardwares for this tasks.

Chenge the battery

I bought an original battery on ebay.
What should I check on the battery before install it?
I am going to give the mobile to a shop to do the replacement. What do you suggest should I check if the job is well done?
Thanks
Hey,
first of all, you probably bought a fake battery, and you will notice that after using your phone for 1 month afterwards.
There are no reliable sources for original samsung batterys than Samsung himself or there offical partner!
All "Original" batterys out there are either used or cheap knock offs.
Remember, if you bring it to a random store, your phone will loose its waterproofness! (only Samsung itself can repair it and keep it waterproof afterwards). And youll loose your warranty if there is some left.
(wouldnt be a problem for me but perhaps for you)
If you get your phone back from the store, look around the edges and the back panel should sit perektly (have a look at your phone right now to check).
before you leave the store have a overall check of your phone:
type *#0*# in your phone app and test every single part of the phone.
thats all
*edit*: regard checking the battery: normaly you cant check them. Only way would be a full charg and messure the discharge to see its real size, but im not a electrician, so i cant help with that.
Many thanks.
I bought this one.
https://www.ebay.it/itm/162984665547
The one I have on my phone has 2999 mAh working (Accubattery stats).
I am really in doubt about what to do.
Should I replace it?
PS: i do not care of the warranty anymore..
Its impossible to tell without messuring it. But as i said before 95% its a knock off from china.
Sadly Accubattery stats are not reliable.
Regarding your last question:
If your phone looses more than 3% of battery over night while everything is turned on (wifi etc). Check your battery stats if something is eating up your battery. Moreover you should reach 4h of screen on time (in device maintance --> battery --> battery usage of Android, tap on "screen"). Everything nearby is good. So that should be the normal lifespan of our battery (s8+ , dualsim will have a little less).
So if you have significant less power and you cant make it throught a day, i would recommend to check the price for an replacment battery from samsung and get it build in in a shop, via samsung or do it by yourself.
btw would be great if you could post the price here, im interested!
SOT 3h 30m max

my advice, call samsung to get a original replacement battery and send your ebay one back.
3h30min SOT in my eyes is doable but thats up to you.
Samsung says the price to "fix" the problem is about 65€
https://www.samsung.com/it/support/assistenzamobile/preventivo/
sure, the service is included in that price. But when i called them to get only the battery, they gave me a phone number of an certified partner who only sold the battery without the repair service. That was for my s7 edge.
I received the battery.. The QR code works and give me this code
GH43-04726A+AA1K129WS+13841
Is there any way to understand if it is original?
not that i know, ill stick with my previous answere. There are no originals out there, because Samsung is only selling them themselfes.
Regards
Thx, i see your point. But I had already bought it before you suggested me

Changing battery on S7

Battery capacity limit on Android systems

Hello,
Newbie question here, Is there some system in android phones that limit the capacity of the battery?
I am thinking of hacking my old s7 edge for really big battery, the original is 3600mah and i am thinking of putting 13000mah.
Similar way that one guy did his Iphone on Youtube(but i am thinking more safe way) . I cannot link cause i am a new to this forum but you can find it with "DIY iPhone battery hack"
So at least on older Iphones it works
So will i be able use all of the 13000mah or is there some system that prevents it?
I need this capacity for one project, power banks are out of the question.
