CM12s Proximity sensor issue

Hi , i've updated my Oneplus one to official Cm12s.
My screen wont wake up when call comes , i have to double tap / press power buttom in order to see call screen.
Its happening specially when sensor is coverd or phone is in my pocket.
I've tried many diffrent solutions like flashing old 11s modem , new alpha lollipop modem , cm12s proximity fix zip , cm12s extras zip but nothing works !
So i attempted to create this thread , please help if you know how to solve it !

I am having an issue with my proximity sensor not working at all. The phone goes blank during a phone call and I cannot wake it up until after the call is over.
I am using an unofficial nightly build for CM11 from a few days ago. This was a recent downgrade from the recently released official CM12.1 nightly because I was not pleased with it's stability.
I used an app to see the sensor values and the light sensor works while the proximity reports nothing. Which modem should I try to flash for CM11 to try to get my sensor back?
I read the proximity sensor and the light sensor are the same hardware unit. Is this true? Or is there a chance I have to warranty my phone?

You need to flash a KitKat modem, this is the latest:

Is it possible to flash the modem with cm (stock) recovery? My device is not rooted (bootloader locked).
I'm on cyanogen os 12. (ota update).

No, you need a custom recovery. Just unlock your bootloader, simple. It really should be unlocked anyway, you'll be screwed if you get into trouble and need to flash the stock images, because it's at that time that the unlock command won't work, and then you can say bye bye to your phone.

Proximity sensor not working
I'm on COS12 and my proximity sensor isn't working as well.
Tried reflashing the rom (not clean install but just reflash), and wiping cache and dalvik, but no luck
Also tried the oxygen modem, it gave me no result either...
What should i do now

I downloaded the sensor app and it did show that the proximity sensor was not working.
1) Flashed full CM modem, proximity fixed, no text/notifications on wifi. I know because I sent text with a different phone through WIFI, nothing popped up. I turned off WIFI and I get the texts.
2) Flashed 12.1 CM, same behaviors as above.
3) Flashed back to Team Nocturnal's 5.1.1 build, still same result.
4) I flash CM11 05Q modem, I get notifications/text on WIFI, but the other end is I get the proximity sensor issue; phone doesn't turn off while on a call and it activates the screen.
Still no solution or fix. Just FYI I am an at&t customer on the west coast.

I've some issue related to yours with proximity, but before trying to flash with new firmware - want to ask some people who know more about this than me.
My proximity sensor works good, screen disables during calls, enables while I've put my phone away an ear, BUT it stops working in random situations. I'm using an option to prevent phone unlock with proximity sensor, but phones somehow wakes up in my pocket. After restart all backs to normal. So I think it's not HW related issue as proximity sensor works. Do you think that changing firmware might help?
I'm on latest COS12.1S ROM (updated to second OTA). On COS12S all works good with disabled ambient display option, with enabled same issue. On COS12.1S tried to disable ambient display but no success.

Flashing & Booting Android 11 Beta 1 GSI (Pixel)

Hey guys, hope you are all doing well. I've been wanting to try the Android R Beta 1 GSI (by Erfan) on our OnePlus 6. However, the ROM did go bast the splash screen only to get stuck on boot animation. I think there's some issue with the vendor/boot/vbmeta. I am using OOS 10.3.3 files to do this.
If anyone could help here, it would be much appreciated.

Did you resize the partrition before flashing R beta??.i tried one with PD2 but the pin ran out quickly,on PD3 that did not have signal
You should back to Android 10.and wait for oneplus 6 update to Android 11

Hey, I booted R B1 port by Erfan on my 6T, here's the process:
I flashed Lineage OS on both slots (I was using OOS 10.3.2 as base), wiped everything except vendor, and then I flashed the R img on both slots using TWRP + the permissiver zip.
FOD doesn't work of course (Maybe OP6 users have a little bit more luck and the capacitive sensor works, who knows)
Camera works (Tested with Gcam MJL, stock cam crashes)
Brightness is broken (Stuck at max level)
Flashlight doesn't work
Sound works
RIL works
Performance is horrible, lags and freezes everywhere

Downgrade to MIUI 11

Does downgrade to MIUI 11 causing any problem with sensor lost? im planining to downgrade, just curious if anyone experience problems after downgrading?
EDIT: for those interested in this thread and wanted to downgrade..in my experience downgrading cause fingerprint sensor lost..and i was able to bring back fod only after flashing miui 12 back

Did u even try to downgrade to miui 11?
Hmm i blindly believe u...and now I lost fingerprint options. and I didn't create backup of persist.img
Hope other sensors are fine. Please in future don't answer anyone with guess and if u are not sure.
EDIT: Tried everything to back fingerprint on miui 11 but fails. All other sensor is fine even L1 widevine is ok. After flashing MIUI 12 fingerprint is back but i think it working slower (maybe placebo effect)

Hey,
When i had a trouble, or stutter on my fingerprint on my oneplus 3, to avoid that, the tips is to delete all fingerprint, and restart saving new one. Try it and tells me if it works.

i dont have any options related to fingerprint after downgrade (on CIT test fingerprint sensor is not available-fail), so i cant remove or delete any of them. anyway thanks for answer i give up an back to miui12 all working good now.

Downgrading means a clean install and fastboot method to be safe so you cant have bugs

I know what is downgrade. i did clean install and lost fingerprint options. this is a same issue like it was on mi9t pro where downgrade causing some sensors lost. Thats why i asked here is anyone experience problem after downgrade. but unfortunately people without knowing answering.

I did the same thing without any FOD problem (V12.0.3.0.QJKMIXM to V11.0.2.0.QJKMIXM miflash).
But i lost fingerprint with a Weekly EU rom.
I solved the problem with this method:Flashed with miflash V12.0.3.0.QJKMIXM clean all and lock then :Go to the CIT menu press the 3 dot in the top right of screen scroll down calibrate the FOD -> place a white thing on FOD click start before next step put something black on FOD and press next...wait until finish close restart and add your fingerprint(Thanks to tze_vitamin).that's all...

i was downgrade 12.0.3.0eu to 11.0.6.0eu (clean all and lock method) and lost FOD. Tried everything to back FOD and only solution for me was flashing back 12.0.3.0. Didn't try with calibration on CIT as i didn't know for that..all i was tried in CIT was fingerprint test which failed. Thanks

so used miflash to downgrade? did you upgrade to 11.0.6 then ? Im having problems with 12.0.4 widevine not working and mediaserver having 70% battery consumption

yes i was using miflash to downgrade and i was downgrading from 12.0.3.0 to 11.0.6.0 and i was lost fingerprint, since 11.0.6.0 is last and only MIUI 11 for EU i was not able to flash any other 11. so i was back on MIUI 12 again to fix fingerprint problem.
Right now im using 12.0.4.0 Indonesian rom with locked bootloader and im pretty happy with it, im only missing miui launcher right now.

miui 10 doesn't exist for POCO f2 pro

MIUI 11 Fingerprint issue on F2 pro

recently i have tried miui and eu roms running MIUI11 , everythings works fine . but somehow the fingerprint sensor is disabled . cant not even calibarate the fp sensor . shows NO FP error . even tried intalling working persist.img from official miui roms and eu roms . but did not work at all . any solution to that ????

Never had this problem with the EU roms.

yes is use that twrp. right now i am using eu 12.0.8 . works just fine .whnever i flash MIUI11 . the fingerprint disappears.

Use miflash and flash a android 11 rom(tgz).
If your phone is a EEA flash EEA rom.
global to global rom.

Did you use the calibration with a piece of white paper then black?
I had this problem and it was solved with this manipulation and if I remember correctly it ended with an error but restarting the phone it came back.
You have to restart the phone after trying a calibration, trying several times in a row no longer works.

And the calibration must be done with the rom you had at the start.

but on miui11 the fingerprint sesnor is disabled

it seems to me it was on MIUI 11.

It was on roms V12.2.4.0.RJKMIXM or V12.2.3.0.RJKMIXM(my phone is global version)

[HELP] Camera not working OOS FW 11.0.0.2 global

Phone model: Oneplus 7 Pro GM1911 (India)
Problem: Back camera not working - Black screen in the viewfinder
Wherever I try to open the camera from WhatsApp, snap, camera, gcam, etc.. my phone crashes and the only way to come out of it is to re-boot my phone.
If i long press on the camera app and select selfie my front camera works, so the problem is only with the back camera and whatever apps try to access the back camera.
Until recently I was in OOS 11 beat 4, realized my camera is not working so reset the phone to android 9 via an official update zip and then updated to OOS 11 stable V11.0.0.2 hotfix where many people were saying the camera started working again, but even after doing that my camera was not working.
Then I flashed PixelExpeiance ROM, following all the instructions for a clean flash. Still, my camera was not working
I again re-flashed the FW11.0.0.2 global with pixel experience ROM still installed, everything else works except my back camera.
Everything was working until I moved to Beta 4 of official OOS11, can anyone tell me how do I get my back camera working again??
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance.
P.S: The country I'm living in right now doesn't have a Oneplus service center so taking it to Oneplus is not an option for me.

Update: Tried flashing the stock firmware using MSM tool, 10.3.8 still my camera does not work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Did you try OOS 11.0.2 they say it was a hotfix for most of the problems people where facing. Just a suggestion
