I have just bought a tablet called Emdoor EM86 from TomTop on Aliexpress. My tablet includes internal 3G phone, otherwise it seems to be the same as the Cat Nova.
I have tried to get some information regarding upgrade of FW from the manufacturer digi.emdoor.com, but so far no luck.

Hi. I flashed the latest firmware from the EM86 CAT NOVA. All is well, but does not work 3G modem. It's sad. Does the original firmware on the Internet EM86?
By the way, promises soon to Android 3.0 update for CAT NOVA...

work all perfectly but only problems with the GSENSOR. its inverted. and no has the option to calibrate or set it by default. i talk with the factory for check if have a new firmware. i wait reply of them....

It's always been? In CAT NOVA g-sensor can be switched off ...
This is the problem hardware device. IMHO.

Firmware with working 3G for Emdoor EM86
Searching through the internet I have come across a firmware for the Emdoor EM86 that actually has working 3G. I have installed this myself on my tablet using the FWDN tool. Initially I had some problems with the APN setting - the tablet could only receive calls, I couldn't call from tablet. But after removing the SIM-card lock in my settings it all works fine.

MTCD unit, a question about which ROM's I can use.

I have a MTCD unit from Erisin, info in attached pic.
I see threads like this one Factory firmware for RK3188 MTCD
with links to firmware, can I use these?
How do I identify which firmwares I can use.
What do the letters after the MTCD mean in the MCU version, my letters are "LM"

I was told you can flash any mtcd firmware, just don't flash the MCU if it's not for your version. But I haven't dare try it yet.

Do not use the ROM from here.. that is not mtcD head unit

MCU and PX3/5 are two different systems. You can only use MX MCU with the MCU, but you can flash the PX3 board with any ROM you like provided it's for your resolution and you have enough RAM, especially for ROMs based on Android 7/8. As far as I'm aware only upgrade to Android 7 if your PX3 has 2GB of RAM and Android 8 is only for PX5 units.
Plenty of custom ROMs for PX3 such as the Hal9k and Malaysk. Or you can always flash a PX3 ROM from another manufacturer, results may vary though.

Well. the model is PX3 meaning if I'm correct 4 cors, PX5 has 8? Sth like that. And the MCU version is MTCD_MX_xxxx. So From what U wrote, I can safely update that MX which came from PX5 modles?
Another one - If I use any custom ROM, does it also updates the MCU version? Or that is separate stuff?

PX3 is 4 core, PX5 is 8 core.
PX3 comes with either 1GB or 2GB of RAM. 5.1.1 runs fine with only 1GB of RAM. 7.1 should have at least 2GB of RAM.
PX5 comes with either 2GB or 4GB of RAM. They have been only 6.0 but 8.0 is now out for them, 2GB of RAM should be enough for 8.0.
MCU is a separate update file to the ROM. The ROM contains Android and the UI you see. The MCU is specific to the board in your radio and requires the correct file such as KGL, GS, MX. Some are interchangeable but it is strongly advised against using other MCUs unless you already have an issue with your current one that isn't resolved by the latest version.

I have a problem with bluetooth, I par th phone with the radio, after I use the car more then 5x, the radio stops pairing with the mobile phone, and to work again I have to click in the reset button. How can I fix this? Install a new rom? Update de MCU?

Please give us the manufacturer....if you don't know...you must read a little bit the information on forums prior to ask

Hey did somone still have for sale px3 or px5 boards? I dont know whats the "company name" is my radio but I know thats my px3 coreboard is HCT and also my main board is XRC and supporting both PX3 and PX5 coreboards. I was text to appollo but maby someone else have? My one is bootlooping on android logo. I think my nand flash is die couse OTG flashing by MarskRom is passing 100% but still bootlooping and offing itself ( on laboratory power supply amps going to 0.02amp and need to press reset to boot again and jumping to 0.8amp) so mainly coreboard is die...

Help Updating MTCD Auto Unit

I just got a new car and I've been having issues getting the A-Media Auto 800X480 to play music from my phone over bluetooth
I was looking into the issue and It seems I need to update it but a bit out of my depth. Would appreciate link to tutorial and proper update if possible.
A-Media Auto (800X480 S)
MCU Version: MTCD_KBT_V1.96.1
Android Version: 5.1.1
Kernel Version: 3.0.101+
Build Number: rk3188-userdebug 16112016.19.02.08
CPU: ARM Cortex-A9 @1.6GHz

Your system is an EONON branded unit. I determined this based on the KBT in the MCU version. It's also running a very old Android version 5.1.1. So with that being said, I would suggest searching for updates for EONON branded units based on the rk3188 CPU.
All of this except the brand name was taken from the information you provided and I Google searched for MTCD_KBT for that detail. I'm sure there will be instructions included with the updates if you are successful at finding.
While I realize my suggestion isn't exactly an update, but maybe the information will help you in your search.

@fizgig804 thank you for posting good detail about your system. Good luck on locating updated firmware for your system. Be careful as some updates can be for specific screen resolutions and you will specifically need updates for 800x480 screen resolution.
@PoppaRoxie1986 good job dissecting the info and helping.
