Missing "Display Owner Information" setting - General Questions and Answers

I have a Oppo R17 Pro on ColorOS 6 (Android 9). It is missing a few settings, such as the "Display Owner Information". I've tried searching for keywords like "owner" and "lockscreen" and it doesn't give me anything related to "Display Owner Information". Without this setting, I can't set my phone number or email address on the lockscreen - which is useful in case my phone gets lost and someone can look at the info on the lockscreen to contact me.
I've tried using apps like QuickShortcutMaker to see if I can find a hidden setting, but I couldn't find any. I've also looked up on the ColorOS/Oppo forum and there are a few forum posts about the same issue, but Oppo hasn't bothered implementing this basic feature.
I've even tried looking up ways to set this via Tasker, but this requires root and Oppo R17 Pro is hard to root and I think Oppo even removed fastboot completely in the latest ColorOS (which means you can't flash recovery). I haven't rooted this device and don't wanna go through all that trouble to do it. I own other devices and they are rooted, but I don't need this Oppo device to be rooted.
I'm out of ideas and this is something simple that should be baked into the ROM. Anyways, just wondering if anyone else has any ideas?

I need a perfect solution about the problem!

i'm from Bangladesh. i am using Symphony Xplorer W15. it comes with 1 GHz single core processor, 256 MB RAM, 512 MB ROM & Android 2.3.5. it was the details of system. now i'm discribing what is the problem in this handset. actually, there are some lackness on this phone i noticed. that is, in Settings menu, there are not any option named Accessibility on Stock ROM. that is missing from settings menu. cause of not having accessibility option, i almost fall in a problem when installing a notification apps like iPhone Notification, Windows phone Notification etc. downloaded from market or another source. it installs correctly as another apps. but after installing when i run the app then automatically an option appears that names Accessibility. this option same as Accessibility. when i checked the accessibility box in the mean time my handset gets hang. then if i switch off my phone to recover and after switching on a default lock screen appears. when i touch the lock screen to unlock, it takes restart continiously in each boot. this process doesn't stop untill giving factory restore. i had been gone service center to give restore three times after buying for only the same problem. now i want to get rid from this problem. i need solution of this problem. oh! there is one another option also missing from settings menu & that is Voice input & output. now my question is, is it possible to remove this problem by flashing Custom ROM? i didn't root my handset yet. because the perfect rooting process of this handset not yet published in our country. once i also asked an android community about this, they just told me perhaps it's firmwares bug. is it really firmwares bug? if that been, so how will fix the bug? at last i remembered on world's largest & popular android community that is XDA Developers. i think, i'll get perfect solution from here. if anyone well-known about it, kindly help me by giving information about it. Thanks.

Custom ROMs
Bro I use the same mobile.
Had a hard time rooting it.
Now in my experience this phone is nothing different from the Micromax A27 (Same Specs, Same UserAgent String, Some guys even reported that the stock ROM is very much similar). So far this is the only post for this device on xda I think. I found some post about CWM for Micromax A27 Ninja. Most likely it will work on your phone too.
So just give it a try and try to flash a custom ROM.
I can't do that at the moment cuz my linux pc isn't working (I don't like to use windows for this cuz the drivers are a hell of a trouble to find)
so just try to flash something using CWM and reply If it works.
:good: Good Luck

[Q] Alps S9920- Unable to disable vibrate on answer

Hi everyone
I've signed up to the forum as I've exhausted every option I can think of and really need to consult with someone who knows more about the android operating system then myself.
I recently bought one of the S3 Mini clones, mine didn't actually say it was an Alps, but a quick glance at the firmware indicates that is what I have. The problem I'm having is with the darn "vibrate when call answered" feature. I have followed guides i found online and concluded something must be missing from the firmware. If I bring up the phone dialer app and go in to settings, I'm missing the "Call alerts" feature. So I dont have the ability to disable to vibrate on answer function.
Does anyone have any advice on what I can do? perhaps reinstall a new phone package over the current one? According the phone it is running Android 4.1.1.
If anyone can help me on this, I'd be truly greatful
Anybody got any ideas? seems to be plenty of people viewing this thread.

LG Stylo G (Metro lgms631) FRP lock - can't enable USB debug - ADB won't detect

Forgive me as there may be a simple solution for SDK to detect it, been many years since I've messed with any Android devices to this extent. I bought an LG Stylo G at a flea market. Of course it's FRP locked. Reset, tried all the superficial ways of bypassing (including the TalkBack one, never presented with the "feedback" option to get outside of the menu, and don't have a Google Keyboard). Installed SDK Manager, installed LG drivers, adb can't detect, PC doesn't even seem to detect. I have no way to enable USB debugging, and presented with no options upon plugging in the phone to PC.
Did recent updates prevent any way around this entirely? Maybe if I'm lucky I can re-sell it for what I paid for it at least, but I'd like to try and get into it.
Have you found a solution to your issue... If not I may be able to help but I will need more information
im in the same boat

what kind of info do u need\ i cant get anywhere with it
I was fortunate to have my MS631 back when Android was at 5.1.1 I didnt have to even hook it to a PC. they changed it on 6.0.1 but it was still possible. Im actively searching thru all my software i finally had some of my stuff returned to me from my ex. only took 3 years, but who's counting? LoL.
you might find yourself sitting messing around on accessibility options. i think there is still a small exploit you can bypass frp you just gotta be connected via WiFi . somewhere in the settings you can find terms of Service agreements and stuff...if you scroll thru these and you happen across a url (doesnt matter what url) click to get a web browser to come up, if you get that, stay in browser. do a search via browser searchbar for settings.
it should suggest a local apk. click on it and you should be on the other side of the door and behind the frp lock.
first thing you gotta do if find system apps like google one time init. and go in and disable it. there are a couple others i am pretty sure . Disable phone admins as well. i hope this helps... and i hope like hell i am giving you information
This is the video I used to get past FRP on mine.
Its in arabic but just do everything he does and it should work.

Device care Security and Samsung Phone "Places"

Hello, i'm having troubles figuring out how to not just disable but completely remove the tab in device care for the "security" feature and "places" from samsung phone app, I'm running a one UI port rom and i've seen that different roms have these "features" disabled, just replacing the app didn't work (didn't make sense in the first place but i tried my luck) and can't seem to find a csc feature (floatingfeature.xml) that can change the state of it. Anyone have any idea on how to do so?

Changing lock screen owner info

It doesn't appear to be possible to change the lockscreen owner info on ColorOS, but it's imported from my previous device during the setup restore process. I need to change it since the phone number on there is no longer correct, but I can't without resetting the device!
Does anyone know if it's possible via Dev tools or ADB?
I have the same problem, but on a realme device. The date is 2023.01.14. Do you have a solution?
The only solution I found was to buy a Pixel 6 Pro
Exactly the same here with an Oppo Find X2 Pro. My owner info has been imported from my old Huawei P20Pro, 3 years ago. It was at first time visible. It disapeared from the screen with an update (Android 10->11 may be ?), then it re-apeared again with ColorOS 13.0 (ie Android 12->13). But still no way to update it...
I think Google should give access to it through the cloud syncing of phone parameters. I'm also lookng for an ADB way to update it, but my phone is not rooted.
Bad luck with this import
