Optimizer Preventing Other Apps From Working Properly - Huawei P30 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I have an ELE-L29 (10.0.0,178) and the optimizer app is interfering with many other apps I have. Is there a way to disable it?
Thanks!

[Q] COMPLETELY prevent an application from any possibilities of being KILL

Hi There,
Does anyone of you use app lock?
App lock is nice as it protect your privacy from others BUT though we except it from task killer, it can also be killed! Just by open setting >application >running services ,then just simply click on the application to kill it. This mean we can protect our privacy from people who don't know. how to use android phone, but not from those who know this TRICK!
Anyone has any idea on how to prevent the locker app from showing out at the running services?

[Q] Which app to modify "wake up device" permission on CM9?

I would like an specific app not to use wakelocks.
I need an app that prevents other apps from using wakelocks , what do you suggest?
Unfortunately, I must not freeze or disable my apps through am (aka greenify) I don't need any smart workarounds, just an app that changes wakelock permissions the way app ops did for android 4.3
Only I am on cm9. SRT appguard looks like a strong candidate, except it needs to reinstall the managed apps.
Thank you!

Disabling Apps

How do I disable a system app, please? For example, on my previous phone, an Xperia Z2 running Android 6.01, it was a simple case of going into settings, apps, selecting the app (such as the default SMS Texting app, which couldn't be uninstalled) and then there was a button to disable it.
Why disable it? I prefer to use Textra, Disabling an app that can't be installed usually has the benefit of stopping the app from running in the background, removing its updates, and therefore releasing resources and salvaging some space from an app you weren't going to use. But, I can't see a way of doing this on my Poco X3.
Thanks for considering my question.

Play store

Hello,
My play store keep changing from do not update apps to auto update on wifi.
I have several app that i keep on old version.
How can i block playstore from changing this setting automatically
Thanks for help guys
Playstore is a bloody pain.
Set to auto update to wifi only and disable wifi.
Use ApkExport to copy your apps so you have them.
exactly a real pain... always switching the setting on after set up all stuff.
looking for a solution or a workaround to disable this or disable my apps from auto update

Disable Playstore or Google Play Services (Playstore is dependent on it).
Both constantly running in the background... needed or not.
You will need Google Play Services though for Gmail and other apps occasionally during the day.
Use a firewall to block it.
Use a package disabler.
I use both...
oh thanks will do that on play store. Any good app freezer you recommend ?
For phones other than Samsung this might work:
"Owner App" version from
Home - Package Disabler
The only NON-root solution that let’s you disable any unwanted packages that come pre-installed / installed with your phone / tablet.
www.packagedisabler.com
Karma Firewall from Playstore
thanks

I'm not rooted which is why I use this solution.

I'm not sure what's causing that. I can package disable Playstore, firewall block it and it's settings are the same after it's enabled again.
If it's data on the phone is getting cleared on reboot that could do it... 3rd party cleaner or power management.
I don't use Playstore much and all my apps/updates are backed up for reload.
In part because you can't get older versions on Playstore (if the app doesn't disappear entirely) and because Playstore downloads are a slow, tedious pain that use up too much time when reloading.
Don't want Google's junk in my face...

Question App to view and disable services and receivers.

On my note 9 I had a fantastic app that would let me disable specific services, broadcast receivers, activities or the entire app.
I can't remember what it was called but it's definitely not package disabler pro.
Also this app didn't require adb or root.
Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately not.
The UI was very simple. White background like package disabler but when you clicked it app it would show tabs for each section (services receivers etc) and you could individually disable parts of the app without disabling the app itself.
I feel like an idiot for not backing it up. I found it like a week before I switched to a note 10+
Well I found the app but it doesn't do what I need anymore because the dev was "sick of dealing with Samsung".
It was ccswe. Do does anyone know an alternative that can disable broadcast receivers, services etc without root? I know it's possible and there must be a working app out there.

Would NetGuard be what you're looking for? There's an XDA post about it
Are you rooted?
Ice box is another good app to use to freeze system services
