Changing Fonts of the whole system and Apps - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro Questions & Answers

Can anyone please help me to change the fonts of the whole system including the apps that I install. I'm currently on a custom rom with the option of changing only body/header fonts. How can I make other apps adapt the font like that in MIUI?

Use font fix app and u will need root access or use font mod in magisk

System font question

The rom I'm using doesn't have a built in font changer or anything like that. So I just found the font I want, renamed it to the default system font (DroidSans or whatever) and placed it in the /system/fonts folder. That worked fine. However, it changed the layouts of some of the menus in certain apps, presumably because the font is bigger. The only method I could find to change the size of it (without using 3rd party apps) was to edit the density in the build.prop file. So I changed it from 240 to 220. And, of course, it worked. The only problem I have now is that it won't let me see hardly any of the apps in the play store because it doesn't think they are formatted for my phone.
Is there a better way to go about changing the font? Or the font size? Or is there a workaround to where I can edit the LCD density in the build.prop file but not have it affect what apps I can see in the market?
What ROM are you using?

Senseless Energy. Correct me if I'm wrong about it not having a font changer or anything? I didn't see it.
No neither version has a working font changer. In the past if I found a ROM with a font I like, I would copy the system/font folder and paste it into the system folder of the ROM before flash. Where did you get the font you want to use?
Edit: Which version of Senseless are you using? I'll flash it and try to help you get what you want.

You can use rom toolbox free to change fonts
About the play store, there are modded gapps floating around that dont check your density to determine your compatibility with certain apps, so you might wanna check that out
I think pimp my Rom has a font changer too.

I'm using the latest version 2 of the ROM. I could probably swap the fonts out before flashing it but I guess my problem is editing the font size to fit like I want.

I was trying to do it without a third party app but I guess that's going to be the easiest route! Once I change it with either of the apps mentioned, would it stick if I uninstalled the app?
Also thanks for the heads up on the modified gapps I will look into that.
I used ROM Toolbox and it actually had the font I wanted inside it. So I changed my font, I went back and edited my density in the build.prop file, and everything is back to normal, no worries with apps in the playstore. And the changes stuck after I uninstalled it. :good::good::good:

Yup, basically it just gives you a catalog to choose from and then installs it into /system/fonts
Glad you got it sorted.

Is there an updated way to change the default emoji?

I tried the thread that said the default emoji can be changed with the EMUI Theme Editor app and a modified .ttf font file, but I tried and it won't recognize the font or themes that the app creates. Is there a new/updated way of doing this without root? I absolutely hate the standard android Emoji.
just flash this magisk module....easy peasy

He said without root dude...
Anyway, this should be posted in Q&A section. Actually i don't think there is a way without root, since that emoji surely depends by system files

Google Sans Project Font for MIUI 10

Can anyone help with flashing Google Sans Project Font on MIUI 10. I followed the procedures from this link - https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max-2/themes/font-android-oreo-8-1-google-sans-t3694864
But, after flashing the MIUI_TWRP zip, after rebooting to the system there is not change. Can anyone try it on MIUI 10 and provide a workaround for this.
Trying the normal procedure of applying through Themes app doesn't work for Bold and Italic alphabets. Also, the wallpapers keep getting reset.
Thank you

Ok, found the workaround. This post was incomplete and not detailed, your phone needs to be rooted first to have it work. This should have been mentioned in the prerequisites.
