Airplane Mode and Restarts

Just started using Polaris this week, but finding a problem with Airplane Mode...
When I go to bed at night Airplane mode goes on. Some nights Backup kicks in and restarts the phone afterwards. On Artemis, no problem, phone comes back up in Airplane mode. On Polaris, the phone always comes on with Phone on, so the next text message/email wakes me up!
Any idea how to make it stop turning the phone on when the unit restarts? I need my sleep!

Not a solution but why not put it on Silent? That's what I do and so far I've been sleeping like a baby.
Or you could try switching Phone off in the com manager instead of switching Airplane mode on.

Yes, that works, but it's a PITA beacuse I can use Long End Key Press to toggle Airplane mode, but need to use Comm Manager to turn Phone on and Off.
Found it:
HKLM\Software\HTC\CommManager\UseMSFlightMode
Defaults to 1, in which case Phone always comes back on after reset, set to 0, state before reset is respected.

Y don't you put a pin code on your sim card?
first you'll have a good protection if you lose your phone (no surprise call oversees...)
and if the polaris restarts the it wound connect to the gsm/umts without you entering the pin...

In any case, the regedit above fixed the problem perfectly.

[Q] Power save issue

I've noticed that every time the phone enters power safe mode, there is a problem after that.
Next morning after the phone is charged, ALL settings regarding power safe mode are still in effect (wireless is disabled, brightness is at the lowest, etc)
In my opinion, once the phone is fully charged , those power safe settings should be reverted to their original state, BEFORE they were activated.
Because they do NOT revert, and you have to manually put them back the way you want (and how they were before power safe is activated) is a poor design.
Is there a solution to this problem, so they automatically revert once power safe is deactivated?

Hi,
I am using MIUI ROM for my phone and I have 2 bugs that needs to be fixed.
1) After re-booting the phone or while switching airplane mode the data gets switched on automatically.
2) In silent mode, when I press any of the 3 touch-capacitive buttons(home.menu back) the phone vibrates.

[Q] Vibration even on silent mode. Please HELP!

After sending a sms or after i make a call i get a service msg of call costs. Even if my phone is in silent mode, it vibrates when i get that. Its very annoying! Anybody can suggest something to me on how to turn it off? It's really pissing me off!! :crying:

try to disable vibration on sound settings and and there two modes for silent ur phone one is in vibration mode and next is no sound and vibration

I've disabled everything. And i'm already in no sound and vibration mode, even then after every msg or call my phone just vibrates

i think it bcoz some 3rd party apps check ur phone after boot to safe mode for this
1.turn off ur phone
2.press and hold volume down key
3.power on then the screen shows safe mode
check the phone in no vibration and sound mode
if the problem solved uninstall the recently installed 3rd party apps or
if the problem still exist try factory resetting
again it exists u must do a repair on sus

device volume goes down on its own problem?

hi, i just have bought this device nxt-l29 huawei mate 8 64GB edition and i have that problem that the device's volume goes down on its own i use the slider of the volume to lower the volume a little and it just stays there, any time i raise it and make/receive a call it goes back to the lower level. i tried to reset, made the software update nothing helped the only thing that help is that i turn off the phone then again on and the issue is gone for some hours and it just starts again after a while.
