If version unmatch message...it seems that you didn't have a XRC mcu before upgrading.
During mcu upgrade your settings have not been kept and that's why you lost buttons. You could go back to your settings if you provide car model and canbus setting in order other guy could share you the proper settings
I would try the most recent version of mcu (3.40) ... and remove the version unmatch message (there is a thread to tweak the mcu file to avoid the message)
And ask for the correct settings to seller or any other guy in xda with same unit or same car model and canbus (even from.other manufacturer)

Hi,
I just bought a new PX3 head unit from Aliexpress with Android 7.1.1, since my old unit with Kitkat 4.4 didn't support Android Auto since it requires Lollipop.
I downloaded the latest Android Auto app from appmirror.com and installed it, but when I open it the app just closes. No error or crash messages.
I'm not trying to connect it to the phone. I want to use the standalone Android App just like you can in your phone or tablet.
Anyone here that knows why this doesn't work?
Does it have the maps problem also?
Can you call by Bluetooth?
What works overall?
I can't help with a cause of this, but I experience exactly the same issue. I tried a whole bunch of older versions and some of the early 2.x series do start (I think around 2.4 from memory), but won't get all the way through the apps setup process (Ends up saying that the device is not compatible).
This is using the various versions that are on APK mirror.

Everything else on the device is working. No problem making bluetooth calls and even voice commands is working great.
Maps is also working.

Same here. I downloaded the 2.0 version and it started, but during the setup process it gave me a non-compatible error.

Some more feedback as that and PX3 has to be the recommended device.
As long they can't make a stable ROM for the PX5.
same problem on my ownice C200 (Android 5.1.1) and Rockship RK3188, so almost same soc of PX3
a very old chip(2012) probably not supported anymore by google ? (Cortex A9 + Mali MP400 GPU)
(at the begginin Android Auto work)

Does anyone of you know how to do a normal reboot?
I'm on stock ROM so holding the power button doesn't give me a reboot option. I can always unplug the car battery but that seems unnecessary.

Holding the power button down for 10-15 seconds should do a power off on the stock ROM. I'm on a stock PX3 unit running 7.1.1 and this certainly works for me.
Bumping this thread. I have a slightly different issue. When I connect my phone using the Android Auto adapter to my PX3 headunit, it recognizes the adapter, but not the phone. Any ideas there?
WiFi won’t turn on, cannot mirror or load a navigation any ideas? Thanks in advance
You're rather short on detail. My first thought the WiFi module is not present anymore. Could be just a lost connection (bad solder) with the MCU or it blew up. Or it could be you changed something and the driver is not loading or is missing but again could be anything at this point.

Thanks, apologies for the brief description I was trying to figure out how to upload pictures off an iPhone, I’m pretty sure the last owner has screwed up the settings and deleted the driver as the fm radio option cannot be pressed either, is there a generic os that can be put back into these with all the original options thanks again for the response
There might be but Xtrons has many models that fit a Ford. You should lookup the info in the about menu and let us know what's the CPU and MCU.
The only info it’s offering is
Processor quadcore T3
Android version 6.0.1
Mcu version T5.3.19-36-40-E53201-17069
System version V8.2.3_20170809.190721_MLT1-DVD
Hope this helps thanks again

Not an MTCD, there might be some discussion in android head unit threads. What does Xtrons support suggest?
Hi All,
I need help with my Head Unit malfunction. ( Chinese aftermarket equipment ) worst buy of my life
it can be SW issue or Bugs or maybe also HW issue
here below Head Unit Data :
Model: PX5(1024x600)
Android Version: 8.0.0
Android Security patch: October 5, 2017
Kernel Version: [email protected] #319 Sat Jun 9 10.35:32 CST 2018
MCU Version : MTCE_MX2_V2_83_1 Ap 26 2018 14:33:35
Serial Number D288054CA1C39C8C
CPU: 8 core 64-bit CPU Coretex-A53 #1.5G
Memory: 3891 MB
Issue :
95% of time the touch screen is not responding, time to time works fine.
All functions are working fine, from Radio to Phone, Steering week comand, and so on, but if no touch I can't use all functions. Just radio and not too much more. All possible interactions with physical buttons are ok.
As mentioned time to time works fine, no specific reason behind, at list I don't see just works. But as mentioned 95% of time no response from touch
Kindly someone had a similar issue? Is any SW upgrade / Downgrade possible? Is ANY ROM available to make it works?
Someone can send me related files and procedures to apply if any?
please , before i drow it away
Return it under warranty.
Hi guys,
I have a Joying 10.1 inch head unit and and the GPS time and date is not correct, I have tried manually setting up the date on the settings and set the automatic on the settings but still won't update correctly. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix that you can suggest?
Unit: Joying 10.1 Sofia 3gr GTX MOD
I'm having the same issue with mine-emailed joying support and of course they weren't much help. It seems to have randomly started happening, then I did a full firmware flash and it still happens.
See this post from @IG_Vasilich : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...9a3-2018-04-22.3742482/page-119#post-84877441
修正 GPS 日期
Tried this on my Joying JY-UMS03N2 Intel unit, but the GPS date is still wrong. I guess the receiver itself needs updated firmware?
Also noticed in this thread that it may contain a Trojan, so will revert the C9 Server back if I can figure out how ? https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ing-rom-v9a3-2018-04-22.3742482/post-85024725
Anyone solved this yet?
Nobody has been able to solve this? Can anyone explain how this even happened? My headunit doesn't even connect to the Internet so my guess is that it was something preprogrammed.
Any word on a solution?
Hi all of you.
I hope you can help me with this problem.
After debrick my unit, a seicane with android 10 - (MTCE_CHS_V3.67.1), Octa-Core Cortex [email protected] ghz, 4Gb Ram, specific for mini countryman R60, the rear view camera stopped working.
When I engage reverse gear, the screen turns black, but nothing is visible. For the rest, gps, bluetooth etc, all ok.
Android 9 is now mounted.
I don't think it's a wiring error because it always worked and the problem occurred after the debrick.
Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
if your screen turn to black it seems that the fuction of the camera is working... the signal you recieve from the its not something special. Just and old type of analog signal.. try to use an app which can open the video manually without the reverse year. Are you sure camera is working?

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I agree perfectly with you. It is a hardware function that does not require any particular configuration. Unfortunately my car is a mini countryman. it is particularly long and complicated to disassemble to access the wiring.
I cannot rule out a wired malfunction but it seems very unlikely to me. the malfunction occurred when the radio was reset after the debrick.
IMHO : Check (re-write) your MTCE_CHS_V3.67.1, and, eventually upgrade !
LE : Unfortunately I don't see a higher version... (https://disk.yandex.com/d/umCvHqCDzHccr/MCU for MTCD, MTCE, MTCP, Intel Sofia3g/CHS)
Contact the seller !

Ok. I had already thought about this solution, but I have not found V3.67.1
Can I install 3.57?

If the 3.57 is also CHS, you can install.

As I am inexperienced with these car radios and would like to avoid disasters, is the MCU common to many radio platforms?
MCU for MTCD, MTCE, MTCP, Intel Sofia3g
Hello everybody.
always concerning my problem I realized that in the factory settings (those protected by the pin) before the brick appeared a voice of the microphone, now it has disappeared. Is it possible to understand why this difference considering that it is a function of the MCU?
Thanks for your collaboration.
Have you installed the older MCU?
Thanks for the reply. Not yet.
I sent a request for assistance to Seicane, the manufacturer of my radio, asking for the firmware for a total reset.
Still no answer, unfortunately.
He waited a little longer and if they don't respond I will install the version you recommended.
I have teh same problem after debrick. Upgrade to Android 10 solved the problem for me, so it's problem with firmware.

Wow fantastic.
I get active for this and let you know.
Could you please give me the link to proceed with the update?
Unfortunately I am not very experienced with android auto and I am always terrified of causing disasters.
Thanks in advance
