Hey guys!
I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S6 G920I.
The problem with this thing is that I had the debug mode disable and I forgot about that.
I started the phone in TWRP and wipe everything to install another OS.
Problem is...Now I can't connect my phone to install the new OS. Windows, Linux or MacOS does not detects the phone.
When I connect my phone to Linux or MacOS it's like I never connected anything. Windows detects the USB connection but says "The last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned and Windows does not recognise it.".
In Device Manager appears as "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"
I tried with Samsung USB Drivers, Android SDK, 4 USB different cables, OTG, and nothing.
I see a Terminal in TWRP, so I was wondering if it's possible to enable Debug mode or whatever I need to connect the phone and transfer a new OS.
Thanks in advance!

I installed the Samsung USB drivers on my Win 7 64-bit laptop. I have ADB installed, and have used it for other devices, no problem. I can still use it to connect to my Color Nook.
I kill-server; start-server, and look for devices - nothing. But I can see the USB installer and those other few files on the phone, and I can see everything on the sdcard.
Any ideas? I'm going crazy here.
Do you have USB debugging on?
Sent from my SCH-I510 using XDA App
I had this problem as well.
First see if you have the "SAMSUNG usb driver" installed in control panel programs.
If not, take off usb debug and connect phone to computer. Then you should get a "install verizon software" option once you plug it in. Install software .. Then, enable "usb debuging" try it again, if that doesn't work .. remove verizon software, not usb drivers. This is basically what i did, and it started working
Bought this Galaxy S USED yesterday
I cant get it to connect to my pc
i have done the following.
-installed and reinstalled Kies several times
-Installed and reinstalled drivers several times
-Tried 4 different usb cables
-Tried in USB debugging mode
My phone connects to the pc and then i get a message that my phone is not recognized (windows error 43)
The phone does charge . I have tried all of the options like Samsung Kies , Mass storage , Media player
Nothing seems to work when i select media player option the mpt application starts to crash , i have read on forums that if the mtp crashes i can just select mass storage mode but when i select mass storage mode my pc says device not recognized
When i checked the Build info it says on Kernel Version 2.6.29 [email protected] #4
Firmware version is 2.1-update-1
Build number is Eclair.XWJM2
Please help me with this , i thought maybe there if i flash everything but in order to flash it i need to connect it to my pc which is becoming impossible
have you installed the usb drivers for it? What windows you running?
installed drivers several times but it doesnt seem to help
windows 7 32 bit
You can try using a program called usbdeview. Google it and download it. It shows you all of the drivers installed on your computer. Delete all of the drivers affiliated with your phone. Make sure USB Debugging is checked and connect your phone and allow it to install the drivers automatically. It might work, either way, worth a try.
I started to have this issue since I have formatted my PC (I've got Windows 7 Professional).
If I connect the device without the debugging USB activated, the PC doesn't recognize it, such as the device doesn't exist. Neither the classic sound which the PC does when you connect something to the USBs ports. Nothing, without the debugging USB my PC doesn't recognize nothing, and the device only goes charging, the notify of the USB connected doesn't appear, it could be because the PC doesn't recognize the device.
But if I activate the USB debugging my PC recognizes something. The auto-installation from Windows Update for the drivers starts (it says "Nexus 5"), but it doesn't find any driver on Windows Update. So I've downloaded the original Google USB drivers. I've gone on Computer -> Device -> Right click on Nexus 5 -> Update of the drivers. So I selected the unzipped folder but Windows doesn't install the drivers. It says it's impossibile to find the driver for the device, but I've selected the correct folder!
I've also tried to download the drivers with SDK Manager, but even in this way Windows doesn't install the drivers.
I've also tried to download the "naked drivers" from XDA, but that was the same result.
So I don't know how to do. Why Windows doesn't recognize my device?
My Nexus 5 is still with the stock firmware.

I had this issue with my first N7 2013. I ended up RMAing it because of touchscreen issues, and the replacement never had the issue. From my experience, I can only deduce it's a problem with the hardware.
Phone model H955, Windows 10 x64, following drivers installed: LGUnitedMobileDriver_S51MAN313AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.13.2 (which installed LGE Mobile USB Modem AFAIK)
In download mode phone is recognized as LGE Android MTP Device and there is no adb interface in control panel, also it doesnt install the device and it says CODE 10 (This device cannot start).
When i connect the phone when it's booted (normal mode), it correctly shows my phone's name and adb interface (with usb debugging enabled).
Any idea what is wrong? (and yes im connecting using USB2 port, using original usb cable)
Im about to give up, this is beyond stupid.
Let me add screenshot to show how it looks like, maybe it's supposed to be like this. (?)
same problem here, any fix, only flash tool works even installed the drivers 4.0.4 to test and the same result error code 10 but if the phone is on the, driver works fine the, usb debug is always on
link for 4.0.4 driver

This may be a bit late but did you manage to fix it?
Same issue on my H950 G Flex 2. Been searching for weeks for a driver that works in Download mode.
Hi, since Samsung has finished support for Galaxy S6, i'd like to install the latest lineageOS on my SM-G920F. It has the latest (and last) official Samsung ROM (Nougat) and recovery and is not rooted, so I have to establish a USB-connection to a PC. But when I connect the device to my computer, it won't be detected. I've tried several different connectors on 3 different PCs running Windows 7, Windows 10 and Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. But the device never gets recognized, neither in working nor in download mode.
When I connect it to a Windows PC in download mode, I receive a message on my PC, that an unknown device has been connected. Now I start the "Zadig" tool (part of the heimdall suite for windows) to install the drivers and make it list all devices, but it just shows me an unknown USB device with VID 0000 and PID 0002.
Samsung drivers are installed on Windows PCs
USB debugging is enabled on device
ADB and heimdall are installed on Ubuntu PC
Any suggestions on how to install TWRP and lineageOS with or without USB connection?
