A small release after seeing how popular transparent launcher mod was, now with the new 2011 Xperia update leaked launcher.
Advantages of the launcher
-MUCH smoother
-You can hide apps now from the drawer
-Cool floaty animation when in Overview mode.

Screenshot:As usual, ignore the transparent statusbar....I'm too lazy to make a new screeny . This is a old screeny from the 2.1 days. I am having problems using transparent PNGs with the stock GB, it causes all kinds of FCs and dissapearings, so I'm stuck, so no transparent statusbar and theme for now until I learn how to fix it. Any help is appreciated

the way to install the apk on stock rooted SE 2.3.3 is as follows, well this is wot i did and it worked lol:
1. download the apk in 1st post and rename to Home.apk
2. using root explorer replace the current Home.apk with the one u just renamed (in system/app )
3. change permissions of the apk (all 3 ticked in 1st column and only the 1st in second column.
4. reboot
well a zip has been provided so wud probably be easier jus to do that lol. thanks to OP great stuff

this new SE launcher supports themes, but obviously there are none as this launcher was leaked out from the 2.3.4 update the newer Xperia models will get. but i am pretty sure some1 will remedy that soon enuff.

when you open the app drawer u get 3 icons at the bottom, 1 is the a-z thing, the middle is home button and last icon at bottom of drawer is 4 little squares, press this and it allows u to hide apps from drawer. the thing im not sure if this uninstalls them or hides them as ive not tried the function.
It uninstalls the app instead of hide. Which is awesome.

Only thing I miss is > the (transparant) powermanager from the WB 2.2.1 v009 on this version?

Let me know of any progress made. I tried using UOT kitchen, it kind of worked, but it was a little buggy.
It was my first experience with UOT though, I'll mess around with it some more soon.

3. Go to the app notifications menu and check which ones you want it to notify you for. HINT: if you want a real halo experience the rightmost icon in the app list will make the icon stay floating.
4. This is a personal preference: Go to Customize in Floating Notifications and select "Dock after a few seconds of inactivity" and then at the bottom set "Amount of the icon hidden when docked:" to 55%. If it is more than 55% then you will have trouble clicking the stack.
5. REBOOT PHONE.
Now for the Xposed part.
1. Install Xposed Framework
2. REBOOT PHONE.
3. Go into Xposed Installer and go to "Downloads" and select XHaloFloatingWindow, and then install it.
4. REBOOT PHONE.
5. Go into Xposed Installer and go into "Modules" and check the box "XHaloFloatingWindow".
6. For safe measure REBOOT PHONE. And then you're done
Lemme know if y'all need any help!
Also on the reboots it hung on the splash for a while.
Oh yeah not responsible if your device catches fire.
While I have only tested this on a Htc One and Htc Evo 4G Lte it should work for any device/rom out there!

Not very Halo if I can't pin any apps.
Everything else works fine, except resizing windows, which is somehow broken for me, so I just switched it off.
EDIT: Solved.
The pin icon is there, just off-screen.
Turn your phone to landscape and you'll be able to see it.
Apps open in normal mode instead of floating window
Floating Notification works. i can add apps and pin them but somehow the applications open the normal way and not in xhalo floating window. there's no difference if xhalo floating windows is installed or not.
Running 4.4 on my HTC One GPE, latest xposed beta with xhalo floating windows module loaded.

I can't open apps in halo mode anymore for example i try to launch whatsapp (with floating notifications) then nothing happens and i get an fc of whatsapp.. do you know any fixes?

This has a big bug
First it works well, all the apps open normally and the first notification that FN catches opens as floating window, perfect.
But.. once one notification has opened as floating window, then the rest of apps opened until reboot (including launcher apps, etc) will open also as floating windows
Any fix for this?

Go to "System settings > General > PERSONAL > Security > PHONE ADMINISTRATION > Phone administrators" And uncheck my Lock app from the list. After that you should be able to uninstall this app as usual.
The QuickLaunchXXX app doesn't work. Why?
These apps rely on other apps to work, be sure that you have the required apps installed (check the red remarks on the post).
Apks tested and builded for KitKat.

I have installed the "QuickLaunchLock.apk" in an unrooted G2! of course quick launch ring remained unchanged. Now I'd like to uninstall it, but uninstall button is dimmed so I can't uninstall it. I'd be pleased if somebody could guide me how to uninstall it.

You're welcome, the reason the quick launch ring remained unchanged it's because the only thing that the app does is lock the screen when you open the app, to customize the quick launch ring with the apps you want yo need to use xposed (root required) as described in the first post.

Here straight of the art simple tool to activate missing quick panel toggles in one click.
How to use :
Requires rooted device.
First Uninstall existing older version if you have installed)
1.Download Attached App and Install as regular apk.
2.Open application from drawer.
3.Install resource - Grant SU (requires one time Only)
4.Once it finish, reboot device
Above steps requires first time only untill you re flash ROM.
5.Open App and select 'Activate Toggles (Common 25 - See screenshot above)
6.Once you finish It will open Notification Panel and you just needs to select RESET
7.Done !
Now you will have common 25 Toggles (Some toggles may not appear/Work) depending on ROM features.
PRO Version
PRO version is nearly same but user will have option to select desired Toggle only.You can choose any number of toggles (0 to 40 see screenshot above for choice of toggles.)
Get Pro Version
PS : Make 'Setting storage' backup in case you want to undo changes.
What can be done about TW LOLLIPOP removing the ability we had with KitKat to gesture (or button) expand notification and quick toggle screens from launcher home screens?
This worked well with Nova Launcher to expand notification with second click of home button (default home screen then expand), Nova Prime to one finger swipe down to expand notification screen on home screen, and one finger swipe up to expand quick toggles on home screen.
Lollipop limits the gesture to top of screen.
For those interested, Nova Launcher is fixing this soon. Just ran the beta version; it's good.

It will work on kitkat too. I have tested on my N4 kitkat and working fine.
But remember this will activate Toggle. Functionality of Toggle depends on rom features.

Enable it if you have disabled and then try to download resource again.

In a surprise twist, the Google Now Launcher has an update in M!
The drawer now is arranged alphabetically (as always), but has letter separation on phones
It also has a row of what appear to be recently used apps on the top.
On top of that there's a search to filter apps.
The widgets picker has also been revamped, it now scrolls vertically & horizontally (vertically for different apps, horizontally for apps with many widgets)

Extract it
Copy the libs to /system/lib
chmod them to 644 (rw-r--r--)
Install the APK

Moto X 2013 running CarbonROM LP 5.1.1r3 and hotwords do not work for me.
Hotkey does not work, and I have also used the updated play services which make Gmail crash. Nice to see the future tho!!!

ok thanks! im just asking because mine not work too. i think we need some additional libs maybe (or other files) on L dev preview it was working after someone find out which files are all required.... i looked into the M lib folder & copied some but it didnt bring hotword back (only in the laucnher) (

On top of that there's a search to filter apps.

libvcdecoder_jni.so is no more inside velvet apk lib folder since last playstore versions

Google Keyboard.
Anyone encounter some stutters whenever pressing home button? Not sure if I did something wrong or just some incompatibility with 5.1.1. Swiping is fine though, smoother than before.
Don't work for me (OnePlus One) Maybe I do something wrong ?
Downloaded zip, copied those 3 files to system/lib folder, installed Velvet.apk, rebooted. Nothing changed

You have to change the permissions in the lib files to r-w-r-r
To do that use root explorer or other with file manager with root access

Forgot to mention, I changed permission to -rw-r--r-- . But not helped
