About LineageOS4MicroG & LineageOS
LineageOS unofficial fork with built-in microG gapps implementation.
Full Play Services compatibility [Well-almost...YMMV]
Our ROM has built-in microG free-as-in-freedom re-implementation of Google's proprietary Android user space apps and libraries. This enables you to use every Google service you need without keeping another closed-source binary blob in your Android system.
Native F-Droid support
LineageOS for microG comes with F-Droid already installed. You can use it to access plenty of FOSS applications or even a Play Store bridge repository like Playmaker or GPlayWeb.
About LineageOS
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Rom Built by Bernie_nixWhy build Oreo Now? What about other variants of the G5?:
Oreo is very stable on the h830 and works great with microg. I'm using this build now. This is also a build I am interested in maintaining and comparing to a future Pie build with microg built-in. Unfortunately, Android 17/Q is not yet fully compatible with microg.
Working:
5ghz WiFi, camera, calling, bluetooth, great battery life. USB-C audio earbuds work great. Reported that NFC works.
You tell me.
Known issues:
Please test WiFi, NFC. IR blaster not working for me but I may need to find a suitable app; please test. FM radio reported not working.
Automatic updates not yet implemented but will be in next build.
You tell me.
Install Instructions (If coming from another rom):
Prerequisites: Coming from another rom with Developer settings enabled, android debugging enabled.
(1) Boot into twrp (or ofox)
(2) Wipe your device. Select Wipe button, Advanced Wipe, Choose: Dalvik/ART Cache, Data, Internal Storage, System. Then Swipe to Wipe all of these (if in twrp. if in ofox, wipe system but do not wipe system 10)
(3) Select Format Data Button. Type yes
(4) Select Install button. Choose rom zip. Swipe to confirm flash.
(5) Install Magisk if you choose.
(5) Press back arrow button 2x to get back to main screen. Select Wipe button. Select format data button. Type yes.
(6) Reboot. Phone may or may not mention "no os installed." Ignore it. Proceed with reboot. Phone will boot twice, then boot into lineageos4microg.
DO NOT install twrp installer/orange fox installer until after phone boots into lineageos4microg or it will not boot. After you have setup lineageos, you can then reboot into twrp and install orange fox or twrp and magisk if you choose. Do not ever install any GAPPS on this ROM. Reinstall of TWP/Ofox should not be required if upgrading (at least on Ofox).
Upgrade Instructions (If coming from my previous build):
Prerequisites: Developer settings enabled, android debugging enabled.
(1) Boot into twrp (or ofox)
(2) Select Install button. Choose rom zip. Swipe to confirm flash.
(3) Wipe caches.
(4) Magisk should persist after reboot but if not, go back into twrp/ofox and flash it.
Tips for Use
1. Root can be enabled in this build (if not installing Magisk) by going to Developer Settings->Manage Root Access->Apps and ADB
2. To turn off battery led when charging, Settings>Apps & notifications>Notifications>Battery Light
3. To set up Microg,
(1) open MicroG app,
(2) press self-check, press battery optimizations ignored and allow,
(3) go back one screen, select unified nlp settings, configure location backends, press the checkbox next to mozilla location service and ok, configure address lookup backends, press checkbox next to nominatum and ok,
(4) then go through Google services from top to bottom and enter your information.
(5) Enable location from pull-down shade. Open maps, get your location. Go back to Microg. Run self-check. All boxes should show a check.
(6) Microg is setup in less than 5 minutes and fully working.
(7) Turn off location from pull-down shade bc they're tracking you 4. Want a better GPS experience? Install Deja Vu Location Service, GSM Location Service and Radiocells.org Unified Network Location Provider Backend from F-Droid. Works great with Google Maps or OSM.
5. I've found Hypercam to take excellent pics with our cameras. Please download for the G5 here: https://gcambrasil.com.br/lg

Thanks to x86cpu's posts, Dark98, Electimon, Gabi and the countless others who helped me out!

Will test the h850 build as soon as you release it! :good:

I would love this for the h840! Oreo and security patches sounds great.

I would love to build for the h840, unfortunately it seems harder to build for. Not seeing a whole lot of sources or development on that variant.

Thank you anyway. I'll always have hope.

Thanks, @Bernie_nix this rom is super stable I was wondering how you build LineageOS4Microg the instructions on their website didn't make sense to me. Thanks so much for this rom. Will you make Pie builds?

Yes I will continue forward to make an los 16 microg build. As far building yourself, please read the first post. I will not answer any questions related to building in this current thread after my response below.
I'm going to put together some info on GitHub with required files and some instructions to build on Ubuntu. In a nutshell, you install docker on Ubuntu, install the microg docker container and then supply a manifest file for the docker to download sources, etc.
I don't provide support for building in my threads because it's off-topic and really adds quite a bit of support that is better provided in its own unique thread where many members can help. I would be happy to answer questions in a Q/A thread of its own, on GitHub or in a telegram group.
If anyone is reading this and knows of an active telegram group for the g5 please message me and I'd be happy to provide assistance there. Otherwise wait until I update on GitHub. I have my reasons but do happily share in the spirit of open source. A ROM release thread is not the place to do it.

Amazing rom! Just installed on my h850 and it works great! The suggested GCAM is also very good. I have tested NFC and it does work fine (tested only between 2 phones). The IR however seems to work very strange... I tested with the app irplus which does seem to transmit something the first time you press a button but then it just starts loop blinking the IR led like a notification led on off on off on off about every second until a reboot. You can see this by pointing another camera at it. Also i was just wondering if it's possible for you to somehow add fm radio? It worked great on the stock rom but I noticed that no custom roms seem to have it. It isn't something that would cause me to not use this great rom but it would be nice to have. Also.. I wiped everything in orange fox before installing including system10 before I noticed the warning about keeping that but it works fine so far. Do I need to do something about it or can I just ignore it? What even is system10? First time I've ever seen it on any device.

Thank you for your kind words! I've been testing it on my h830, and it really has brought some new life to my device. Even my pictures aren't coming out yellow like they were on stock! Thank you for testing NFC, and I am glad to hear that works for you. I had similar results with the IR blaster, and that's one of the features I love about this phone; I will try to see if I can improve the functionality as at least it does turn on but unfortunately can't give an ETA; this will involve looking into some lg and lineage sources if they are available. I will also look into fm radio. As most custom roms are built off of a similar base, that explains why it doesn't work in most. It may not be possible to pull the files and include them in the rom, but I may be able to create a magisk module with some lg files; again can't give an ETA as I don't know what I will find or how long it will take. I will investigate though. As for system 10 in ofox, I haven't been able to find much if any documentation on it. As I didn't erase it on install and it booted, I figured best to be on the safe side

I see. Anyway thank you for looking into the IR issue as I agree that it's a great feature and also the fm radio. I would not have any problems with it being a magisk module if it can't be added to the rom. And yes, the phone runs great with this rom so far. Very responsive and minimal battery drain even with my half dead battery that dies at 50%. It is definitely my new daily driver.

I know that Los usually has lower sound. Haven't experienced the lower mic myself but I could be wrong. You could probably easily edit some mixer_path volumes if it is not to your liking.

Hi, real cool rom. thanx a lot. But: PicoTTS does not work. App shuts down in test. And Hdmi (or Slimport??) on an OTG does not work.
And the LG Camera Plus add-on-piece is not recognized
Is H850_v2.2-mk2000.zip compatible with this rom? or maybe H850_v0.3-BETA2-mk2000.zip?
(after Test) No its not, camera is not working with both kernels and Android says, thats the Vendor Image is not right, when i reboot. What ever that means
P.S. The rest is really stable after 2 days of testing.#
P.P.S. Changing BT Connections from one (Airpods Gen 2) to another (JBL Charge 2) while playing music reboots the phone.

halogenOS Checklist
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another rom:
Please take a full nandroid backup!
Please copy your back up to an external device.
Backing up your Internal Storage is also recommended.
When completed, please clean flash the build!
XOS is a new generation cutting-edge OS for Android based on Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from CodeAuroraForums (CAF),
featuring only extremely minor set of components from CyanogenMod (CM) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.
Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the CodeAuroraForums (CAF), the CyanogenMod
organization and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,

Common stuff
The ROM is super stable as of now and we'll maintain a clean and proper ROM.
Known issues are going to be fixed as soon as possible. We don't have infinite time.
Highlights :
Substratum
Full media support (FFMPEG, video codecs, ...)
Great Audio quality, no distortions, no crap
Optimized many portions of the system including surfaceflinger, inputflinger, System Server, and more
Super fast boot
Superuser-capable
Great battery life
Soundmod support (not all soundmods work on Nougat, it's not our fault)
addon.d support (backups your gapps etc. when flashing new build - don't wipe system before flashing!)
init.d support
BusyBox
Disabled Access Time for all partitions (We don't need access time. When access time is enabled, it will store the exact date of the access when a file is accessed, what just wastes write cycles (in theory) and has impact in I/O performance.)
Super smooth
Signature Spoofing toggle (Support for MicroG)
Support for trusted third-party WebViews like Chrome
Long press on home for assist toggle
Security Patches in kernel
OpenGapps (Mini/Micro/Nano recommended) and Banks GApps support
Full KeyHandler & KeyDisabler support
Dexpreopt for faster (first) boot time and less space consumption on data partition
Upgrade & Boot the ROM in just 5 minutes - no more endless waiting for flashing a new build
Very high compatibility with other ROMs
How to update the ROM:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Do not wipe anything
Flash the ROM
Flash SuperSU 2.79 or newer if you want (Download 2.82 here)
or
Flash Magisk v13.1 if you want from here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
Reboot
You don't need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You don't need to flash gapps again. There is some magic going on which keeps your GApps. Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
You don't need more than 5 minutes.
How to install the ROM for the first time:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Wipe system, data and cache (If you want to try a dirty flash, dont wipe anything)
Flash the ROM
Flash gapps if you want
Flash SuperSU 2.79 or newer if you want (Download 2.82 here)
or

I should mention that you'll have no nav bar when you first boot. You'll have to go into settings and enable it. So don't freak out when you get stuck in an app, just go into settings from quick settings. I'll try to enable it and upload a new build asap.

I was stuck in the initial configuration because I did not have a lower navigation bar, I restarted the power button for a long time and I started the bootloop. I tried twice to blink the rom and I could not get out of bootloop. Waiting for new construction .... thanks, nonetheless. good job.

That's strange. I flashed a few builds and didn't have that problem. I'll see what I can do.
I'm running a new build now, the nav bar should be activated on first boot. If so, I'll post it shortly.

This ROM is fantástic
Just an observation, try to install it from the official twrp 3.1.1 and after doing the backup I was unable to access the recovery. Nor restarting in recovery mode even from the fastboot. I had to put back the squid twrp through adb ...
Sorry my bad english

Thanks man rom works perfectly ! No issues on first boot!
Has anyone else noticed a bluetooth connection failure?
Connecting to my smart clock turns off in seconds.
I regret not being able to attach the log, but due to bootloop problems when installing supersu I do not have it rooted.

I forgot to mention some Bluetooth issues, but I haven't had any trouble staying connected to anything. I thought the only problem was inbound file transfer. I'm working on it. I've been using Magisk without any issues by the way.

Sometimes old Gapps or a bad data connection can make the setupwizard hang. If you weren't using up to date Gapps try updating them. I'f that doesn't work. Try selecting not using any data or WiFi connection on setup. It worked fine for me with 6-17 Open Gapps before I uploaded the build.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed!
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Please make sure before upgrading to LineageOS 16.0 to read the Official Instructions here in LOS Wiki carefully!
Make sure before flashing you upgrade the TWRP version with the one provided in the instructions page due to changes to support hardware accelerated encryption on our R7S!
You will run into issues if you do not upgrade to the provided TWRP version!
I recommend a clean install due to above changes.
Followed the instruction exactly but wifi does not work (mac address 02:00:00, it can not find any AP...)
If someone has this issue like me, flash back to Spectrum then boot into it and connect to some AP, then flash LineageOS again, but do not wipe anything.
Does Pixel Launcher work for you?
It crashes on my phone. A workaround: https://www[.]reddit[.]com/r/LineageOS/comments/awjvnk/lineageos_16_stock_open_gapps_pixel_launcher/
Working well so far even though I updated using twrp 3.2.3
Only issues are, app permissions seem to show up when they want and bluetooth connection can be ropey depending on device. Have one receiver with no issues but my Sennheisers cant keep a connection from two feet. Will try re-pairing.
Thanks to you all. :highfive:
I needed this for root, so for anyone who needs it...
https://mirrorbits.lineageos.org/su/20190304/addonsu-16.0-arm64-signed.zip
Edit.....Just updated to latest build and root disappears so the above will be needed.
Will the SU binaries be reinstalled for future builds?

I do use magisk, I need to install this beforehand or magisk doesn't work.
When I first installed 16, I read that lineage removed the su binaries so there is no root out of the box.
Bit of a pain really.
When the screen is locked, you're still able to swipe down from the status bar to expand it to show buttons. Is there any way to disable expanding the status bar when the screen is locked?
Just tried the recommended TWRP image and it screwed it up. Now i have no recovery! I'll have to attach to a computer to see if I can reflash it to get back in. Anyone else try this with the same result?
Hi, is there any difference between the build 16-04 and 17-04 ? No changelog is shown.

The recommended TWRP image is actually a lower version than the official image through the TWRP app, and that's why my recovery got screwed up. I'd flashed an earlier image onto a later one. The recommended one would probably be the one to use if you were switching to Lineage for the first time, maybe? Just to warn people not to be as careless as I am!
I spent half a day messing about with getting the tools again to perform a flash from my pc. Every time, I end up relying on "Minimal ADB & Fastboot" because I have no luck getting any other driver package to work. But this package really is the smallest pack to get it done and it makes it easy to use, thank goodness.
Thanks to the developers for continuing to work on the phone. I'm loving Android 9/Lineage 16. There isn't much of a visual change, which is great. Under the hood, it's more obvious, but it's definitely running much smoother than L15 already.

There will, of course, be changes, or it wouldn't be offered. Most changes are bug fixes or security updates, so you wouldn't necessarily notice any change.
Maybe the gestures are sensitive but every time I go out, the phone always opens my music player at destination. Have turned them off see if it happens again.
Never happened on 15.
Bluetooth seems to be a mixed bag so far. When it works it's fine, but when connection is lost re-pairing and forget/connect can be hit and miss. It will show the device but not be connected so you have to go deeper into settings to fix it.
More often I always end up going the long way round just to get connection.
BT ended up rock solid on 15 so I'm confident it'll improve.
Update. So clearing storage and cache in 'App info' seems to have fixed connection issue. Let's see how we get on...

Mine keeps connecting, disconnecting, connecting... But only when there's no music playing, like it's trying to save power (so maybe it's one of the battery saving services under Android 9). Mine isn't forgetting, though. At least not yet...

Tried again today, it has the device listed but wont connect. Have to go all the way in BT menu to connect manually.
It's a problem with Pie on the whole apparently.

To God be the glory, a working AOSP ROM for those on both the 50.1 and the 50.2 firmware, Pie flavored! There may still be a few bugs here and there, please read this entire post before using!
**** This is an UNOFFICIAL ROM. Install at your own risk! ****
WARNING: This build SHOULD work on both the H3213 and H3223, but I could only test on a H3223.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damages to your device.
A huge thanks to the Android Open Source Project and Sony Open Devices Project!
The Sony Open Devices Project (SODP) is an initiative to build Android for phones while being as vendor binary large object (blob) free as possible. There are still a few vendor blobs used in this project, but the goal is to one day be vendor blob free. I don't know if that will ever fully happen, but it is nice to move in that direction. That said, all of my work is completely available for any who wish to use or modify it. I didn't make AOSP, the device trees, or vendor blobs. I simply used and edited existing material. A huge thanks should go to those who actually created this stuff.
This Unofficial AOSP ROM was built for the H3223 (discovery), but may work on some of the other variants, please try at your own risk. However, if you do try it on another variant, please be sure to let me know in the comments how well it worked.

Rom Download link:
Note: This is designed to work with any firmware version of the XA2 Ultra, because you flash a custom OEM partition. I've tested this on 50.1 and 50.2 firmware phones.
http://www.mediafire.com/folder/dl8dcra6ojog5/Sony Open Device Project
IF there is an ENG build, it is marked "ENG" for testing purposes only. It's your phone, you can install anything you want, but I do not recommend installing the ENG build. Use the "USER" or "USERDEBUG" builds.
There are two versions of the project, a vanilla AOSP without Google Apps, and a vanilla AOSP with Google Apps. I have tested both on my phone. If you want Google Apps, you cannot use the gappless version and then flash gapps, it doesn't work, you must use the gapps version if you want Google's apps.
Installation instructions: (DIFFERENT THAN NORMAL! DONE THROUGH FASTBOOT!)
- Download the zip file for AOSP 9.
- Unzip the zip file, and you will find 5 images.
- If using Windows, put these in your folder you use for fastboot, if using Linux, you can do this from any folder.
- Reboot the phone into bootloader/fastboot mode.
- Flash them to your phone, like so (example for Linux)
Code:
$ fastboot flash boot ./boot.img
$ fastboot flash oem ./oem.img
$ fastboot flash system ./system.img
$ fastboot flash userdata ./userdata.img
$ fastboot flash vendor ./vendor.img
$ fastboot reboot
Your phone will now boot into AOSP Pie!
If you plan to install magisk, then let the rom boot once, then go back to TWRP and flash magisk. I recommend making a backup of at least the boot partition first. Magisk is optional, of course. And you do so at your own risk!
What works:
Code:
So far these things that I have tried work, such as
- Display/touch
- Camera (front and back) for pictures and video!
- Phone calls
- Data 3g/LTE
- Bluetooth
- WiFi
- Sound in system, in calls, over bluetooth devices
- MicroSD card (external SD card).
- GPS
- Fingerprint sensor
- Camera Button launches camera and takes photos
- MTP file transfer
etc....
What doesn't:
Code:
Gappless version:
- FM Radio does not work
- The built in Gallery app cannot play back recorded videos from camera. VLC or other apps work fine though.
- Nothing else that I know of, but let me know if you find something!
Gapps version:
- FM Radio does not work
- The built in Gallery cannot play back recorded videos from camera. VLC or other apps work fine though.
--But the Google Photos app can.
-The built in Google Camera app does not work, however, Open Camera, or other camera apps do.
- Nothing else that I know of, but let me know if you find something!

ROM OS Version: 9.0 Pie

Changelog:
20191024
- Fixed MTP crash issue.
20191023
- Sync'd source and fresh rebuild
- Now have a "Gapps included" variant and a "Gappless" variant.
20191004
- Rebuilt kernel
- Fixed camera turning green or crashing
- Fixed general stability.
20191003
- First build, a bit unstable.
- Camera turns green.
- PTP, MTP cause crashes.
- FM Radio does not work.
Notes:
This ROM is very, very, vanilla. It is straight up AOSP. No frills, no mods, no extras. Just pure source.
I personally don't use Gapps anymore, but I did test that the gapps version boots up and connects. That's about all I test with Gapps, though.
I also don't use social media except XDA, so I don't know how well every app works. But if you have issues and have logs, perhaps I can look at them and see what is wrong.
Can I flash back to firmware 50.x.xxxx after flashing this?
Yes, you can. I flashed this and then flashed back to the 50.2 firmware several times while testing. As always, you assume full responsibility for your device, but it worked for me.
Issues/workarounds:
- Video playback from camera. Any camera videos you record work fine, but the built in player can't play them. I downloaded and used VLC app to play them and they work just fine. You can get VLC or other apps from the play store, or here: https://www.f-droid.org/en/packages/org.videolan.vlc/, or if you are using the Gapps included version, you can use Google Photo.
- If you are using the Gapps included variant, the built in Google Camera app does not work. However, using the playstore, I downloaded a number of camera apps, such as Open Camera, and they all worked. I'll try to look into it if I get time.
The only thing i didnt like about aosp is that you cant add features like gravitybox does. And Unfortunatly I need snapchat cause my woman uses it. lol Breaks the safety Net

I installed AOSP, let it boot, downloaded 64 bit nano opengapps, fastbooted into TWRP, flashed the gapps via adb sideload, and rebooted. It didn't crash or hang up on me. However, I've noticed that it doesn't install the playstore app. I'm very confused. I tried this several times with pico, nano, micro, and mindthegapps.

Thank you for looking into it? but yeah same I'm very confused as well but I believe I have found something that I'm not at all familiar with. I found this link that has someone that has a similar issue with the responder saying they can use "adb pull" command to flash Google factory images so it might be worth looking into?

Whoo-hoo! Praise God! Good traction on Android 10! After some tinkering with XOSD source, I've got a booting version of Android 10 with the new 4.14 kernel! Certainly not a daily driver by any means yet, but I'll keep tinkering. I'll add a few teaser shots as well. :victory:

Hell yeah man. Thank God we still got one developer on the xa2 ultra threads.
So I've messed with aosp a bit and have found a way to help make things easier. I've installed nanodroid which will give you micro g and it's service and more!
https://nanolx.org/nanolx/nanodroid
I haven't been able to figure it out but it has a setup wizard as well which does give you the option to install the official play store. If any one else can't get that to work then perhaps install osm(gapps) with fdroid and install the "fakegapps" xposed module to get signiture spoofing. Hope this helps?

Great work, and good find!
I am currently building this ROM again with built in gapps ... Hopefully, I can have that and an updated version of aosp that is gappless available tomorrow or the next day (so I can test it a bit). I spoke with a few guys on the SODP telegram channel, and they make aosp with gapps built in, so I thought I'd try that to see if that helps you guys who want to use this ROM with gapps.
Good news!
I was able to build AOSP 9 with Gapps built in, and will be posing that once I get it uploaded. (It will take a long time, because I have slow internet.) I'm testing it out on my phone now, everything seems to work here. I will also be posting an update of the gappless version as well.
Thank you so much! I have been waiting for this but when do you think it will be available?

Good news! It is up and posted. Be sure to fully read Post #1, and Post #2 before proceeding.
I tested both the gapps included, and the non-gapps versions on my phone, both worked. With the Gapps version I was able to connect and download several apps, my emails synced, as did photos, etc....
For this rom, the things that I am actively working on are MTP/PTP computer connections.
Also, Android 10 is still in the works, it's just giving me a few fits at the moment, but I will keep working on it. I don't want to release a "half baked" rom, I would like it to be 95%+ functional before putting it up for you to use. Hopefully, that will not take forever. :fingers-crossed:
Love it I did notice the ctsintegrity was false but I fixed it with a magisk module other than that it's great!? I understand from your last post you are working on Android 10 but any idea on when your roms will be updated to 5.0.2 version?
Great news! Praise God! With some great guidance from @MartinX3, and a post by @oshmoun, I was able to apply a patch to the kernel that fixed MTP communications for transferring files to your PC! I have the builds now, and will upload them. My internet is really slow, so it will take a while....

xiaomi.eu ROM includes firmware, so this is not needed if you flashed that during a clean install (unless you want to try a different firmware version).
If you like to be on the latest firmware or try different versions, you can grab it here.
Personally, I like the latest available global variant (stable or beta).
You can flash firmware at any time, without affecting your current installation.
WHICH GCAM WORKS BEST?
Urnyx05 v1.7
WHICH TWRP SHOULD I USE?
Mauronofrio v3.3.1-17
CLEAN OR DIRTY?
If you're coming from unofficials, you'll need to clean flash since these builds are SIGNED.
Once you're in, you can just take OTAs, no more need to clean flash.
Great ROM! Congratulations on obtaining the "Official" status.
Hello, thanks for this Rom ! I have issues with Android Auto and screen laggy and flickering when my phone is connected to my car. Also some elements of the UI are missing like navigation bar on the screen of the car. No problem with ArrowOS which is CAF based Rom. Is there any solution ? I desactivate material superposition on develloper settings and it's not changing.
Thanks in avance

Hey guys, happy to announce AOSiP 10 Stable officials!
Please see the announcement on the Twitter post for changes and info about this release.
Hi everyone! been quietly following the community for quite some times already and I figured I could register and give you some insights on this rom.
I've wiped everything, installed the latest firmware, rom, gapp and magisks.
Everything went smoothly, except magisk giving me some headache about the ctsprofile... a ****ing nightmare... I've had custom rom for the last 10 years or so, I know my way around and always find the tricks to make things works... but this time I almost gave up.
I ended up on youtube and found this gem.
S-TaGmNfKMg
Use termux and manually assign the fingerprint for the mix 3 and there you go.
So far everything is working fine, Bluetooth, gps, selfie slider, dt2w, nfc.
Now I'm monitoring for a battery drain. if the battery could last a typical day, that'l be great.
And thank a lot for everyone involved!
I'll keep you posted

Just tested this on 1 MiMix 3 with AOISP [Unofficial] and on another MiMix 3 with ArrowOS 10.0 and it works on both devices like a charm.
Finally: ctsProfile true
Thank you for the hint including the little gem :good:

Awesome, so glad everything is working for you.
Yes that is the magisk props module. I recommend anyone who is having SN issues to use this (You can technically set to any device and it will work).
I am actually using the same fingerprint that it sets for persues. The reason you pass with the module, is that It also modifies your security patch date - another validation requirement for cts is that your fingerprint date and your security patch date must be within the same month. However, since this is an official build, we do not want to change the security patch date in the build.
Anyway...... I am coming up with a way to satisfy both requirements and will hopefully be implemented into the next build.
Until then please use the module + 'props' command via any terminal to set any fp if you need SN.
ctsProfile false

Unfortunately, it didn't work here. Tested it, using the latest AOSiP Version (5/6/2020), Magisk/Props/BusyBox/Termux >> picked Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 (Android 10) fingerprint >> reboot:
ctsProfile false
What did I miss/do wrong? Do I have to pick a fingerprint which is different from the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 one?

I have done this with 3 different MiMix3 now always following *exactly* the video and all the devices are showing "ctsProfile true" after the procedure. The instructions is showing 6 - Google and at the step thereafter 23 - Google Pixel 4 XL (10) so I picked the same.
Worth noting that with one of the devices I had to repeat the process because after rebooting the first time it somehow failed and Magisk was still showing "ctsProfile false".
Great ROM, thanks so much. Everything seems solid, there is just one thing that spoils it for me - is it possible to add a toggle for the charging light? Keeps me awake at night.

Thanks for your advice but it's still not working. I assigned the Google Pixel 4 XL - fingerprint as described (also re-checking the instructions from within the youtube gem), rebooted, ctsProfile: false > did the same again, still no success. Any (other) ideas?
Appreciate your help!

Have you checked with Magisk --> Settings --> Magisk Hide (<-- this should be set to "ON")?
Also below Settings --> Magisk Hide I set Magisk to hide itself from "Google Play Services".
It is worth a try.

That did the trick: Magisk Hide wasn't enabled.
Thanks a lot!!
Found a bug... Gboard needs camera permission to create minis (personalised stickers like mimoji) but doesn't request it and can't be given it.
Is it possible to remove the google search bar from the home screen with this rom?

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as the "Ice Cold Project" that started on a Desire HD years ago (2012) and since then has evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community that you can find!!!
Until Android Lollipop, the ROM has always been based on AOKP. Unfortunately, since AOKP stopped development (but made a comeback later), we changed our base to CM.
With the re-brand of CM to LineageOS (LOS), we became LineageOS based with some tweaks from AOSP and then changed to be based on the "Ground Zero Open Source Project" (GZOSP) for Android Pie.
We changed again for Android Q-S with a base of AOSP repositories and some additions from LineageOS for device-specific repositories.
If there are any bugs we will sort them out if it concerns our codebase. This ROM isn't LineageOS supported, so there is no need to report errors/bugs to them!!
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look here to see what day your device is built on.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels officially?
A. No. You can still use them, but the discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Does this ROM include GApps or do I have to flash them separately?
A. No, we do not include prebuilt GApps, because of possible licensing issues with Google Software and because some users do not want GApps preinstalled as they want to use alternative services like MicroG or just prefer flashing a GApps "flavor" of their liking.
Q. Does this ROM use the camera or gallery app from stock?
A. It depends on the device. In most cases, these apps include proprietary libs/code and cannot be included in the device trees on GitHub or we risk having the ROM banned from GitHub. In this case, we might try to make them installable (separate from the ROM zip), or we might provide a version of these apps with the ROM that doesn't include any proprietary libs. It's also sometimes the case that these apps are simply not included because we didn't feel the need to do so for the device in question.
Q. Does this ROM have Extended/Scrolling screenshot?
A. No, extended screenshot was implemented using an app extracted and modified from manufacturer firmware/system images and is proprietary as well. It led to the closing of many ROM's sources on GitHub.
Q. Does this ROM have FaceUnlock?
A. No, FaceUnlock was also an app extracted and modified from some manufacturers. Even Google removed the Trusted Face (FaceUnlock) feature for security reasons on Android 9.0/10.x. Adding the modified feature did the same to ROM sources as described above.
Q. Can you add (insert favorite weather provider)?
A. No, we cannot add more weather providers as the implementations change and we (the ROM) now have to pay for most services, and that is not cheap, so we decided to use the best free service that we could find, the only way to add your own is for users to apply for their own API key to use their preferred service.
Q. Does this ROM have private official builds with the above proprietary libs included?
A. No, we believe in open source software, this way users know what's in the build and can replicate it themselves, all official builds are built on our build servers using the public sources from GitHub, and no one can (or would) add their own private sources to the build.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the flashing instructions...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, this is how users can/should install updates most of the time, this can be done with the built-in updater service or with a custom recovery.
Q. How do I 'dirty flash' builds?
A 1. For "A only" devices: Wipe the System, Cache, and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution, and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to perform that task for you.
A 2. For "A/B" devices": Wipe the ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, reboot to the recovery, flash GApps, your preferred root solution, and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to perform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot" as the destination, then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to lose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to lose root. Now swipe to flash and reboot afterward.
Using the ROM:
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat AND the model name. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. Do not post the content here. Thanks.)
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get, and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
A2. If you are already rooted, you can use the built-in feature to make a logcat and provide that. Just look into the others section on the AICP Extras main page.
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android S. You don't need to install any Add-ons, simply download the latest ROM and GApps, then follow the flashing instructions and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM zip file.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine though.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
How to flash for the first time:
(Again: Don't do it if you don't know!)
1. Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP is recommended, the lineage recovery is a great alternative however, it will not decrypt the internal storage so you will have to flash the rom with adb sideload or usb OTG or with an external sdcard).
3. Wipe the System (DO NOT WIPE THE SYSTEM ON A/B DEVICES!), Cache, and Data (you might need to format the data partition!).
4. Flash the ROM zip file (reboot to recovery before flashing anything else if you have an "A/B" device).
5. Flash the GApps (optional, needed for e.g. Google Playstore to work)
6. Reboot and set up your device.
7. You can then reboot to recovery and flash the root solution of your choice if you want to, and then boot back to the system.
The procedure may vary from device to device and is a bit different on system updates!
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once! This might differ on A/B Devices.
Currently supported Root Solution:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions >= 20.4 don't usually need to be flashed on every dirty flash.
Depending on the device, you may need to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise, you should be fine.
Instructions for OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates) on "A only" devices (not A/B):
TWRP recovery is needed to be able to flash using the built-in OTA app.
Please make sure that you are on the latest TWRP recovery, keep in mind that this could also be an unofficial version!
On encrypted devices, you will have to enter your PIN/password in TWRP before the process starts.
Open the updater app, download the update, then press install, press reboot when prompted, you will be taken to TWRP, there isn't any need to flash GApps separately
Instructions for OTA ("Over-The-Air" Updates) on "A/B" devices:
Open the updater app, download the update, then press install and wait for the process to finish (feel free to let it run in the background), then press reboot when prompted, there isn't any need to flash GApps separately

Can you please tell me: the "Xiaomi parts" shown in the screenshots provided in the Telegram channel, where can I find them?
Or is this something that will be implemented later on?
Thanks!!

Nope, everything here is working good at my side, these bugs sometimes the gapps package might be its cause, try a different gapps package, this would solve your latency.

Swapped from MindTheGapps to NikGapps and the problem has been solved. Thank you very much.
I switched from Pixel Plus UI to AICP and I must say that AICP is just as fast and smooth which is impressive considering how much tweaks and customization features are baked into the ROM.
There is only one small issue. I have observed some gallery lag in this ROM that didn't exist in MIUI or other ROMS. Namely, when I open any gallery app, it takes a few seconds to actually load the images. Has anyone else noticed this or is it an isolated event?
For consideration I am using the recommended mind the Gapps.

To be honest I'm not facing this issue..
I'm using simple gallery pro and the images are loaded pretty fast so.. I advise you to flash NikGapps, as MineTheGapps is really causing alot of bugs recently.

Okay. Very odd. I still had the issue with NikGapps. Then I saw AICP had an update (Thank you Dev) which I did OTA. The issue persisted. I then decided to go for broke and just do a complete wipe and clean install of the latest AICP Rom and Mindthegapps and the issue is resolved. Could have just been an issue with my initial installation.
Loving the latest update @Nebrassy . This ROM is rocking my world! I have made another small donation towards your good work. Thank you for your efforts. They are much appreciated.
