Hello,
I've recently bought a Realme 5 Pro, but the android auto is unable to communicate with my car.
I've already tried to enable usb debug (as required with some huawei devices) but I was unable to get it working.
Any feedback? Does your device connect your car?

Today started working.
I've use an original cable from Samsung, but I don't know if the problem was the cable or something else

I flashed the MM upgrade on my US 5.5 and then did a factory reset, but now my Android Auto will not connect to my phone. I've tried swiping down and choosing MTP, but still does not connect. The phone is connecting to Bluetooth. After researching it seems to be a problem with Marshmallow and Android Auto. Does anyone know a fix?
Uninstall drivers and reinstall

There aren't any drivers. This is for Android Auto when I plug in to my Kia Sportage. Android Auto did work before the MM update, and it still works on other phones running 5.1.
Cant you just remove the device from android auto and then reconnect it?

I did remove the device, but Android Auto will not find the phone with the MM update. Seems to be a know issue with Samsung and LG devices.
I finally got Android Auto working by using the Developer options, Select USB configuration, RNDIS (USB Ethernet)

I have the same problem and i tried to put RNDIS but my cell doesnt get the configuration. Did you do something to put it on RNDIS?
I got a new car (Hyundai Kona) with android auto but my Idol 3 5.5 (6045I) will not connect to the car screen. I have MM on it (but not the 2 latest garbage updates). I have tried USB debugging, multiple(10) USB cords. I cannot get RNDIS to work on the USB -it reverts to charging. So my USB is set to MTP. My phone plays AA on it's own screen just fine but will not send it to the car screen. Bluetooth works fine.
The auto dealer rep tried his iphone (apple carplay) and another android phone and they connected just fine so it is not the car.
Any suggestions?
So my ZTE Axon 7 connects fine to my pc.
HOWEVER my Mi Note 10 Will NOT.
When using ADB (command: adb devices) the response is " list of devices attached" without there being a device listed.
I enabled USB debug in the developer options and set the device to MTP (file transfer).
I have also tried the various other options regarding USB debugging.
Among others:
USB debugging Install via USB
USB debugging (security settings)
verify apps over USB
verify bytecode of debuggable apps
I tried installing the ADB drivers, i get a code 10 error (this device can not start) on the Android ADB device.
So does trying to connect a new phone to windows 10 give problems for others?
Look in the device manager from windows. Maybe u must install the driver manual. Sometimes windows choice the wrong driver

Might seem a stupid question, but are you connecting through a usb hub? Or directly with pc? I had that issue where connecting through a usb hub didn't work
Thanks for the replies guys.
I connected directly to both the front USB plugs (pc case USB plugs) as well directly to the motherboard USB plugs.
Indeed when i connected my ZTE the pc downloaded and installed the driver automatically.
However the Mi note 10 wont.
It is however updated from MIUI 11 with Android 9 to MIUI 12 with Android 10.
I did find out that the file manager can do FTP and i can connect through WIFI and exchange files. Still, i'd like to connect directly.
Also because i want to record video with my back cam and view it on my monitor (mainly to be sure im actually in the vid )

So i tried xiaomi support. theyre not very good. They recommende using a different computer and running the hardware tests in the phone.
I did both, using a different computer didnt make a difference. Running the tests gave only good results.
I then connected to the pc using my old cable and hey presto it connects.
So ive asked Mi for a new cable.
Good morning connecting my Pocox3 NFC to the car via Usb, a Seat Arona of 2020 does not start Android auto. I think it is a phone problem as I have tried with a Real me X2 pro and everything works.
I read on other forums I have heard about the problem of cloned apps but I don't have any. Equal is more a problem of MIUI 12 .. I don't know ... can you help me !? thanks
for me in an audi a3 (which should be similar to arona regarding software) 2018 it works perfectly :S (using cable, not wifi)
Try removing second space and enabling usb debug
no I have already tried to delete the second space and enable usb debugging but on my Poco x3 there is nothing to do it does not start
Hello everyone, I have a problem with my P30 ELE-L29 with Emui 10.1.0.171, my car does not recognize the phone, when I connect usb cable, so android auto does not start. I remember that months ago I tried to connect my phone, and it works, but I was on Emui 10, so I suspect that Emui 10.1 broke my connection in some way. Could someone confirm that Android Auto works on Emui 10.1? If the answer is yes, what could be the problem? Thank you in advance.
I have same problem but in 10.1.0.191 , I found that the problem is the cable, if u use the original cable always works fine;
But before this update, I used short cables with my car without problem, and If I try with a Samsung with any cable always goes well Android Auto.
Its very strange.... I dont understand why this happen! Have u tried with original cable ?
Hi guys, tried to use android auto today for the first time and having absolutely no luck. Either with wireless or a cable. Car says device not recognized. I've rebooted both, deleted all devices off the cars system etc and still nothing. The phone connectsvia Bluetooth and takes calls and plays music no issue but android auto won't connect. When I plug the phone in via USB it says device not supported?
I've Googled and it seems this is a common issue. Does anyone know of a fix or having similar issues? I'm rooted so wondering is that the issue or could there be a workaround as I'm rooted instead perhaps. All suggestions welcome, thanks!
