Root Philips Signage 10BDL4151T/00 - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
Has anyone been able to root Philips Signage 10BDL4151T/00 (https://www.philips.co.uk/p-p/10BDL4151T_00/signage-solutions-multi-touch-display)?
It comes with Android 7.1.2, but without Gapps. I would need Google play store in order to download some apps (tasker and other autotools) to make it my home control center.
I have found nothing for this device.
Any good way to have a try?
Tutorial?
Do I dare to use Iroot or other one click root apk? As I have heard they install a lot of spyware etc.
I have rooted several phones but always by the help of tutorials for specific models.
Best wishes,
Henrik

Getting Android Market on non-"with Google" devices

Is there a standard procedure to getting the Android Market on devices that don't come with it? There's a tablet I'm considering to buy and I want to know how to do it.
Thanks.
sorry to bum u out, but it is impossible, there are other app stores out there that u can download to the tablet, but not the actual market.
unless they root and cook custom ROMs that have the market baked in for said device.
as far as i know you could use the vendor.apk from some custom firmwares to install the market to your device, but i think you also have to modify the user agent to see all apps.

[Q] Advice on Chinese Devices - Google Services?

Hello All!
I've got some questions about smartphones purchased in China that I thought you guys might be able to help me with.
I'll be looking to upgrade my current device with a Chinese phone, and I am aware that devices there will not have Google Services like the Play Store.
I know from reading some threads here that it is possible to get Google Services on a Chinese device by rooting the device. What I'm wondering is that if it is possible to do so on ALL devices. Also, I was wondering if by rooting a device, this would instantly enable me to install Google Services, or if more actions would be required before I am able to install Google Services (like unlocking the bootloader?)
Thanks for your help in advance!

Appstore troubles

Hey everybody. I wasn't sure about the right place to sumbit this thread so I went for the General one. I'm having some store-troubles.
I recently got this new device, a generic greek brand. It came without the playstore on it. I tried a lot of ways to make the playstore work on this device but the best state I got it to, is, having it installed on the device but whenever I may try to download an app on it, it will crash. That was no problem me, I mostly needed it to use other apps that just "need" the store to be installed. For my everyday use I shuffled through AmazonAppStore-1mobile-Aptoide n such.
Now the problem I'm facing is with certain free apps that I try to install, the last one being Heroes of O&C. It's a free app on the Google store, but since I can't use it I search on my other stores. Found it on 1mobile,downloaded it, ran it, runs license check and drops me. Found it on aptoide, same deal. That's happened before on other apps I tried to install through these store, and everytime they fail. See, I don't understand how this works. They are all free apps, and they all fail a license check and ask my to BUY the dam app(?). So then I'll have to resort to google, find a legit apk+obb combo out there and download it. But what happens when you want to go online? Some of em won't support it, or even support updates on themselves. By the way i didn't mention it before but the device isn't rooted and I doubt there's a certain way to root this one (nor would i risk it for the time being).
So what I'm finally asking of you are these two things:
1) I want whatever possible way you can think of making the playstore work without having a rooted device
2) perhaps any "more" legit store I haven't found already?
Thanks in advance peeps

Pokemon Go Spoofing Questions for dummies

Hi, I'm new to XDA but I'm here because I'm pretty much a noob with android and technology. I'm trying to spoof with pokemon go with an android since it seems the safest method. I've looked up methods to root my device and it's been a bit challenging to say the least.
1. I found 1 option of pokemon go spoofing which is using FGL Pro with the official unmodded pokemon go app. If anyone is a pokemon go spoofer, if this still a viable method in 2022?
2. I was wondering what does downgrading google play services achieve exactly? I read it was something about masking your location without rooting, but doesnt FGL Pro already hide and change your location, so why would you need to do that?

1. that apps seems abandoned since 2019. so unless you would like a ban, i would not use it.
2. so, it seems that a google play services update, sometime between 2015 and 2017, went live and removed those spoofing methods. this can only be attempted if your smartphone runs android 6, 7 or 8. from android 8.1 forwards, it will not work.
Conclusion : so, i skimmed through those reddit posts about this type of practice. if you want to spoof pokemon go, best way would be to get a second device running android 6 and play the game on that. those methods are being patched out on newer devices and new versions of android.

DJI RM500 SmartController - "go" app downgrade not possible...

Hi,
I am using a DJI RM500 SmartController, what is a drone remote, running on Android 7.1.2.
There are two apps preinstalled, to fly two main series of drones, the DJI go app, and the DJI fly app. While I was able to download an older version of the fly app and just downgrade it with the apk file, this is not possible with the go app. When putting the apk onto the device and trying to install it, the controller complains "file corrupt". Uninstall of the original app directly on the device is not possible.
Now I used adb to uninstall the original app, what worked - but still installing the older release is not possible, even not with adb.
However the apk is OK, it installs fine on a normal phone, and its prerequisites are fulfilled, so I guess DJI somehow does not allow installing this apk.
Are there any useful hints out there among the pros that could bring me further? Or is it really not possible to fool DJI to accept this downgrade?
Or does anybody know how to downgrade the whole device to an earlier version? .bin-files with older releases are available...
Thanks in advance for any input!
