Affordable new display? (from China could take ages due to Corona virus) - Redmi K20 Pro / Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro Accessories

Dropped my MI9T pro. Display is broken in the corner and only flickers.
Ordered new original display+frame from Aliexpress for about 100 euro’s.
But the Corona virus is affecting the delivery time, it’s uncertain when the shop can start their business again. So i might cancel the order.
Did anyone find any good affordable alternative, which is not coming from China, for delivery to Europe (I live in the Netherlands)?

I think it's hard to find it outside of China. Did you try eBay and Amazon?
Maybe you can search for defective Mi9T pro on European marketplaces and replace the screen?

Hi
the cellphone drop into the water standing upright. He slowly lost touch and flickered at the screen where a spot taned. When I plug it into the computer it shows up normally with folders. I'm waiting for a screen from AliExpress no frame.

Try aliexpress still. different shops ships differently. I tried to order samsung galaxy j7 pro amoled screen, one seller did not send and returned my money due to virus, while other shipped right away. and after one week my screens is already in my country (Lithuania).

Hi, I recently changed the damaged screen before I stuck it, I did the test by holding an application and turning it on the home screen I saw that there is no problem so I stuck it, then I left it upgraded and as I was exploring I found that the double does not work screen tap. Today I put a fingerprint and when it is on and this is visible or not visible, the double screen tap works.

Hi, where did you end up buying it? I am about to buy one from Ali express but I've read there are non original screens that can cause issues with MIUI 12

After upgrading to MIUI 12 Global OTA yesterday, fingerprint unlock stopped working. When I select fingerprint unlock in settings to switch it on and enter my PIN, phone goes dark and restarts (MIUI splash screen). Any suggestions? Phone is stock...

acer s200 touch syntetizer (the clear plastic over the lcd)

Hi i have to change the touch panel due to a big scratch,anyone here know if i have to disassembly all the phone?Or else someone with a service manual?
My phone was out in the rain for a bit so my digitizer is all messed up. Only thing I can do is touch the bottons on bottom. Not much function in the touchscreen besides that. Have ordered a new digitizer and will hopefully get it by the weekend or next week. Can report back how it goes with the disassembly or have you already done yours? Please give a report on how to do it if that's the case.
I m still waiting for mine from hong kong.look s like someone else had changed the syntetizer in the forum,but i had no reply to my question
Ok. I guess we'll have to wait and see who gets his first. Whoever does though it would be nice with a report on how it went.
Hi i ve received the touch panel,but i tried to disassembly the phone,but i can not get the cover to open.I unscrewed the 5 screws on the rear but the cover is as strong as before.Have you ever tried to disassembly our phone?
And the touchscreen i received it s not the new one but the old engineering example,i think it s the same but i want to try the respone so i can give the seller the positive or negative feedback.The panel differ from the classic one for the acer logo on top right,not at the bottom center,and...there is the trasparent hole near the headphone for the front camera as you can see from this old sample picture

And this is mine
I read in the screen replacement forum. There are two more screws at the left and right sides of battery house.
Hope that helps. The guy in hongkong that sent me the digitizer sent it by registered air mail first but sent another one by EMS so hopefully i'll have it this week.
Ok i ve found the way by myself,it s not so difficult,i ve seen the two screws after...You have only to pay attenction to not force too much the plastics when you try to open the cover and when you try to detach the touch panel.The best way is to use a guitar plectrum and start to open from the bottom right,for the touch you have to go carefully.Now i ask in the forum if they need a guide with high res photos,because i ve taked pictures with my nokia n95
Well I would be really interested in seeing the pictures. Please do share. How's the new touchscreen working out ?
You can see my guide in the general section,maybe will be sticked.The panel is working good,but it seems a little less sensitive than the official oem one.Maybe the engineering sample is a little different.In plus the light from the touch keys is not diffused good,and i have an hole for the front camera,wich is not present in retail s200.But if you go to the guide you can see pictures
I have now changed my digitizer and thanks to your guide it went pretty smooth. Was done in about 10-15 mins. I got the oem one but the buttons on the bottom is diffuse as you said yours was. maybe i can move the white from the old one to make it nices. Probably won't bother though. Don't really find a difference in response from before the change.

NFC fix

Hello everyone. I don't know if it was discussed earlier but I was searching on xda and google and found a lot of questions about nfc but no exact answer. It seems to be a lot of people across the internet meet the problem with NFC being either greyed out or refusing to turn on at all if not on stock then rooted rom etc. I had a problem with nfc since I bought one with cracked screen on ebay and replaced the screen. A friend of mine was complaining about nfc and scratched lens on camera of the back frame. I ordered a new frame from international galaxy s3 and it didn't want to fit perfectly but nfc started to work. Before replacing the frame I tried to root/unroot the phone, restored again back to factory mode and replaced the battery but nothing worked. First test if it's going to work for you.
1. Remove battery back cover, battery, sim-card, sd card
2. Unscrew all the screws from the back frame and remove the frame.
3. Put the battery back, turn on the phone and test nfc without the frame.
If nfc started to work then your problem is in the frame. It seems to be verizon is using a different frame from other galaxy s3 models.
All you have to do is tape the contacts on the phone at the bottom:
{

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
And tape the contacts on the back of the frame as well so they don't short each other:
On the second picture you can see the difference of the contacts between frame from international (on the left) to verizon (on the right).
They are different and contacts shorting each other. International frame does not sit quite right and holes for battery clips are smaller also so the battery door does not properly close:
why would my nfc short out after rooting or flashing a rom

That I don't know. As I said I bought the phone broken and replaced the screen. NFC was working for a few days then every time I was turning it on it was in gray color (like disabled) but z-device showed me that nfc is in good working condition. While searching throw forums on google I found out that quite a few people did have the same problem. Most of them simply sent the phone back by the warranty. You can see that connectors are totally different for verizon version comparing to others. And it was working perfect when I switched the frame from international version but it just simply did not want to fit the right way. That's why I thought it would be nice to ask people who have the same problem if that would be a solution. Most of the time I read things like rooting from 4.1 makes this problem and rooting from 4.0 solves it.

No, new phone they've sent me doesn't have this issue. My previous one also only developed the fault after sitting in a windscreen mount in my van and going through rough roads while recording video.
Finally mine was replaced by Google, received completely new unit.

As you can see that I was too late to notice that my phone was slowly losing charge as I try tp charge it.
Solutions I tried:
1) charge the phone for 30 mins (bottom and side port)
2) Different Charger like realme and ipad pro 2021
3) Usb sideport or bottom connect/charge(desktop can’t even detect the phone except when it was still on but sadly phone already died).
4) Volume up;down;power button or press all of them with charger or without, still the same.
5) cleaning the ports even if it was clean ( charge and still no life nor led indicator isn’t even there)
6)Charge it up using powerbank(original + different chargers + mention 4) + leave for 30 min = still dead and no led indicator.
well, the story was the typical me reading a manga and I noticed that there was a notification where spotify is trying to play something but I wonder what it was. So i tried downloading Avast Antivirus to clean the phone and it didn’t detect anything. Meanwhile eating lunch, I go back to my phone to resume my reading and there I found out that my battery percentage kept on decreasing like huh? Must be my imagination until I go to the system and saw the plugged in, can’t charge right now (please refer to the photo above). So, I decided to shutdown the phone. After a few hours, well this is it just plain ol dead phone.
I wonder what should I do next?
Oh right, of course that my phone is always updated from the system updates.
You are right on the last day of two weeks, which is the return period through Asus. Better contact Asus ASAP. If you miss today, you are outside the return period and will have to go through the regular repair process.
If you bought it from a third-party seller, then you may want to check their return policy and contact Asus about it anyway, in case the seller won't accept it.
If you purchased a model from another country and aren't sure if you are covered, contact Asus anyway and see if there is anything they can offer to help.
TL;DR Like 100% of the hardware issues that are posted here, contact Asus.

New Display - Fingerprint calibration issue

Hi,
I broke the screen of my beloved Mi 10 Ultra, bought a new one from china, waited a couple of weeks, got the new display, gave it to a local repair shop to change it. Got the phone back.
I knew that the under-display fingerprint sensor must be calibrated, so I went to Settings - My Device - All specs, clicked a couple of times, got into the CIT menu, found the "fod fingerprint calibration" tool under "additional tools".
When trying to calibrate (I saw a couple of forum threads about this calibration in general) I get the error messages:
1. 1513 High brightness incorrect - I think that's a general one that indicates I am not doing it correctly. Many people in the threads I read have the same issue and have explained ways to avoid it.
2. 1001 Out of memory - whenever I do everything right, just like explained, I get this message.
Is the partition where this info is stored out of memory? What is the problem, what should I do?
I have an unlocked bootloader, the latest version of a xiaomi.eu ROM (12.5.8 stable), non-rooted phone.

There are many guides on youtube and threads on forums about calibrating and you don't need the tool.
P.S. I got mine from "ShenZhen KingCrop LTD Store"
Yes.. same seller.
I did triy Several times with a rubber with the same dimensions of the tools sold on ali.
Have you managed to solve it annyway? I Will try to find a store that has the calibrator. Otherwise i Will think about buying the tool

I think its a software and not a hardware problem. Many managed to calibrate without any special tools. I am still unsure how to proceed. Will write here if I have more info or if I managed to calibrate.
