You may have flashed Magisk to the wrong slot, then booted to the other (not rooted) slot.

SuperSu needs to be updated!

Hello all, I am facing the "super su binary need to be updated" wherever I try to update it it simply does not. I have the pro version also but nothing happens. The next time phone is restarted it askes me the same. Anyway to update or install another updated version? I also un installed the current version and installed the last one from the Market but nothing.
Thank you in advance!
if you have bootloader unlocked, you can flash a custom recovery, then manually flash the latest supersu.

When I've got this message, I answer "Continue", then "Normal" and Super SU will update...
Possible Solution
How did you root? If you rooted using KingUser, it's interfering with SuperSU.
I do "normal" but it is not possible than it ask me for reboot. And it rebootes but nothing changes.
I have rooted looking at the post "how rooted without bootloader unlock"
I cant flash the update cos I don't have a costum recovery.

twrp + root + NexusOS-9 custom ROM s6

Hey! So let me get straight to the point . . . I used Odin flashed the TWRP recovery, installed SuperSU zip, installed NexusOS-9 ROM, then installed OpenGApps. However, my SuperSU app did not show up and Root Checker says I did not successfully root my phone. I have a Samsung S6 SM-G920T. Did I "root" my phone yet? and how come it shows up as not rooted? Please help. The Custom ROM and Gapps all work but it just says not rooted. Thanks in advance!

can't root S7 (SM-G930F) in system mode.

Hello XDA !
This is my first post..sorry for my bad english.
I bought a S7 (SM-G930F) Android 8.0 and i rooted it then i noticed that was just systemless root.. and it's totally useless for me because i want to uninstall system apps and change build.prop..
so I flashed the stock rom and reflashed TWRP, then I executed a command to force SuperSU to install in system
(echo SYSTEMLESS=false>>/data/.SuperSU)
and I installed SuperSU.zip..but it stucks on bootloop.. I tried many different SuperSU.zip versions even a modified version for system mode root, but nothing works..
by the way I installed no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1.zip before installing SuperSU.zip !

i havent rooted an S7 in a while, but dont you just flash twrp in Odin with the reboot box unchecked and once the flash completes, reboot into twrp which will present you a slider that says something along the lines of "slide to allower SU access" or something like that. Once youve done that, then you flash magisk in TWRP, boot, install busybox, and you should then be asked if you want to grant SU access to busybox, if it does that, youre all set

Thank you so much for your response !
I did everything in the correct way, i flashed twrp with reboot option disabled.. and i formated data then reboot to recovery and I installed no verity and after that i installed SuperSU and it's done successfully but it ended up with a bootloop..
also I tried to install a system mode supersu.zip and it freezes TWRP and stuck on "installing"
I think literally I can't do the system root.. so i did systemless root.

im well aware that TWRP is a custom recovery, i remember when it first launched and people were converting from CWM to TWRP. Anyways, if youve successfully installed twrp, try factory resetting the device and then booting. You should only need to flash magisk in TWRP and busy box in the OS once booted

Verified root but after flashing stock rom, "Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device."

Hey guys, had a little problem pop while while setting up my moto 9 g plus.
I have already successfully rooted and verified it on my phone once, and after flashing stock rom, it says in Root Checker App it says "Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device.
I thought once successfully rooted, you did not have to worry. I flashed the stock rom, used adb to remove some basic bloatware, and started installing some apps. I already flashed magisk and it shows it is installed successfully, as well as xposed framework, but when I tried to give root access to youtube vanced, it wouldn't let me. That's when I downloaded the root checker again and seen this message.
Anyone have any idea why this happened and how I can fix it? If I need to root my phone again, it's just that I don't know where to begin because I've done it all once. I already have done all the steps to have twrp and magisk. Where do I go from here to get the root verified again?
Thanks!
As soon as you re-flash a ROM all modifications you applied to existing ROM are gone.

Already solved...I did verify root after flash and installing magisk, but I did not realize that the security patches would cause screw up root. Just had to reflash magisk and root verification works again.
