No. Different hardware. There's a reason those phones cost a whole lot more than the 3a line

The devices use different sources, they share a kernel source but it still has to be built for the specific device.

Nexus 6P stock ROM on Mate 8?

Hi I was wondering if it's possible to get a stock ROM of Nexus 6P working on the Mate 8? Or a slightly modified version of the stock 6P?
um....no
two completely different devices with completely different hardware. ull basically need to rewrite the whole rom in order to port it, not exactly an easy untertaking...

No, but we will likely eventually get cyanogenmod, which is very similar, just with more options.

I think it dont work like that, we have to be ourself involved to cm devellopement to make it possible.
So our only chance is to get some of us(Mate8 owner) with enough skill to start to work on it.
we need roms like oppo rom
love it
That is the one down side to these phones as they aren't as popular as phones such as the LG G series, Samsung's, HTC's, Nexus series. They are great phones hopefully more developers get on board.

Rom question

Pixel 2 XL have 3 custom roms already. Is there more devs that owns the bigger brother than our 5inch version?
I hope they start porting those to our pixel 2 non XL. :/

I have been wondering the same thing. It's shocking to me that there wouldn't be any developers that on this phone. I know this phone is new, but there should have at least been one custom ROM by now.

The original one has tons of them. I think the volume of devs now are mostly on oneplus and/or pixel 2 XL. I just hope someone ports it to our non xl.
Los rom is stable already in the 2xl.

Can I flash pixel 3 rom to pixel 2

Hi guys,
I read that no difference between pixel 2 and pixel 3. Then, I can flash pixel 3 rom to pixel 2?
Hi, no, it is not good idea...
I think many have said the upgrade from Pixel 2 to Pixel 3 isn't that big but they are obviously not the same phone. Just look at the specs.
Don't flash any ROM for a different phone unless it's a situation like OnePlus 3/3T where they have unified ROMs that work on both phones. The OP3/3T are closer to being the same phone than the Pixel 2 and Pixel 3.

Hi everyone!
I'm considering this model because of 512gb option.
I noticed that xda has not rom alternative for this model. Can someone tell me if there is the possibility to have moded ROM in the future for this model?
I will be happy to hear any answer. Thanks in advance!

If a member with the knowledge/experience buys the device and it has stock source code available to the public, maybe, but there is no way to know if/when one of these people can/will but it or support it with custom development.
If one of these people doesn't buy it or if the stock source code is not available, no, it will not receive custom development.
You will just have to wait and see, but, you could always try learning to do it yourself instead of waiting.

AFAIK OP8 T-Mobile and other OP8 are able to flash the same ROMs, we already have a lot of kernels and one officially supported ROM, we're doing good since OOS didn't even dropped support yet. Of course, we haven't as many ROMs as the Pro Model but I'm our device will have more and more ROMs over time

While we do have some kernels and a ROM right now I would suggest you browse the previous versions to get a better idea of how it may develop. By checking the oneplus 6 and oneplus 7 TMO versions you will be able to see the progress. I personally am on 10.5.8 TMO bootloader unlocked and rooted. Just checking a few other things to make sure I can jump to international version with no problems in the near future. Happy modding!
