Hello there. From last 5 days my data connection automatically fluctuates. I'm using data in my sim 1 port and for less then a second it also shows data receiving from sim 2 as well (simultaneously). I have problem in playing games like pubg. Due to this the ping goes higher for few seconds (maybe till connection recovery). I have written to the feedback to MI. But i don't think they gonna respond it.

I'm rooted running Gummy2.0. I had an issue a few weeks ago where I dropped all data connection for 36 hours. I ended up pulling the SIM card and reinstalling it and it fixed it. Now I'm showing a full data connection but not getting one, example showing 3 or 4g and my internet, market, and pandora not working. It is getting very annoying. It always comes back after 10 minutes or after I reboot my phone.
Is this a SIM card issue? I don't know how to diagnose these issues so any help is appreciated.
My wife has an unrooted thunderbolt and her data connection owns mine regularly:-(
Hi i have a nexus 5 android 6.0.1 and whenever I make or receive a call the network drops from LTE to 3G to Edge. It stays on Edge even after the call has been ended and the only way to goes back to LTE is when the phone is locked for a few minutes. I checked the settings number cellular networks -> preferred network type and its on LTE. I have done a complete wipe on the phone twice and still the same issue.
Also in the past I have another issue which was resolved and I have had this phone for about 2.5 years and after the first 6months the sim was unreadable. The person I got it fixed from stated that the guy I bought the phone off reported it stolen and the only to use it was to switch the motherboard. Im not sure if they are related .
The main issue the network dropping down to Edge is causing is when I drive for uber and passengers call me sometimes I cannot start the trip or load the gps for a few minutes .
This is because of CSFB functionality. LTE is used only for data connection and if you receive or place a CS voice call, then the phone switch to 3G or 2G (depends from signal strenght) to make a call and after that if signal is strong enough switch back to LTE.
Hi fellow Honor8 owners,
I have UK Honor 8 32GB model purchased from Vmall.eu/uk. I came from an iPhone 5S and must say I'm loving the device!
Only issue I have been having is constantly, the Data signal keeps dropping out and I am unable to recieve/send calls and texts. It completely drops out for a bit then comes back. This happens very often.
Is anyone else experiencing any similar issues? I have the nano SIM installed into SIM slot 1 .
I will maybe give the SIM a clean and reseat it into tray to see if there is any difference.
otherwise aside from that issue it's been amazing! One thing I'm really impressed is with battery, I am getting like 6 Hours Screen On Time on each cycle! and I'm not such a light user. Great for £260 unlocked!!
:good:
I also have giffgaff. This also happens to me mostly at home. I disabled Carrier Aggregation which seems to help, but it still happens sometimes.
I have the same and set the signal to be 2g only while at home, as I am using home wifi. I get many more bars when I do that and its good for calls and text only of course.
Its a pity we are not able to activity switch mobile data modes depending on our location without rooting.

So I tried cleaning and blowing in sim slot maybe debri but no still had the same issue. But then changed to carrier aggregation off, that helped a bit but still had issue often.
Finally resorted to switching to 2G for Calls and SMS only and I am mainly getting full signal strength all the time!
strange.. wonder if it is hardware issue or can be fixed via update?
Hello.
I bought this phone about an week ago, and after two days i noticed that i couldn´t make or receive phone calls, after a litte bit of research i noticed that the phone only has network signal on 4G areas and when i try to switch to 3g or 2g it takes a lot of time (about 2 minutes) or most of the time it doesn't get any signal.
I´ve already done 2 factory resets , switched the sim card and i still cant make calls.
Is there any way to solve this?, because if i activate the warranty it will take a lot of time to get my phone back.

Seems like manufacturing defect. I guess you would have already tried network mode and automatic search.
Hi everyone,
Since 2-3 days I'm having problems with my network freezing every 1 or 2 minutes. When this happens, I can see a 4G+ icon with only upload traffic (up arrow), and putting airplane mode stops the network but only after several seconds.
I'd already had this problem for several months, but much more.
I've updated my phone some days ago, I suspect this to be the cause.
Does anyone have any ideas before I start downgrading my phone ?
