For those Leeco Le2 owners like me wishing latest Havoc-OS, I decided to build myself.
I am taking no credit for the hard work put into this excellent ROM by the developers see:
Havoc-OS on SourceForge
I will keep updating as long as my device is alive.

Yep like all other Q roms... toying around with options
If like me you use your S2 as your daily driver then until the echo issue is solved I recomend using the latest Havoc release on Pie, i.e. v2.9 which was never made available for this device before.
I have built this incorporating security patches until Feb 2020.
No echo with this one, I have been running for a few days with no other issues.
Enjoy, let me know how it goes.

Download posted yesterday was from my test build and had no launcher as a consequence you get starting endlessly. Either install your own launcher if you know how or download v2.9 again where it is fixed.

Thanks man. U are really amazing.
I'm getting lots of questions regarding echo and there seems to be some confusion.
Havoc v2.9 is Pie based and has NO ECHO.
Havoc v3.2 is Q based and like all other Q roms for this device has echo too. Whilst I have tried a few fixes the echo is still present and very noticeable.
You do not hear this echo it is the interlocutor ( remote end ) that gets this undesired effect.
As soon as a solution is found I will update v3.x.

no one even thinks to solve this problem. all have one answer: "I HAVE NO HER." therefore, in principle, Q is not popular among some countries. Yes, she is beautiful, yes she is stable, but one problem of the Echo, crosses out all the advantages of firmware
Added security patches for March 2020, find new rom in download section of post.
If running Havoc 2.x just dirty flash otherwise clean flash required.
Please also update the Q rom (v3.2) with the March security patches.
I know, you stopped it, because of Interlocutor-Echo problem.
However, that Echo problem is somehow not experienced in Indian context.
Perhaps, the Indian firmwares (x526) or the VoLTE carriers (e,g: Jio) or the combination results differently than what you experience in your territories.
This is not to start a new flamewar or to undermine the problem that you and others experience in Android Q.
This is to request not to give up on building or patching Android Q, which will be useful to others.
Thanks for reading this post, this far.
Please how stable is the Android Q version of this ROM?
I am using it as my daily driver ever since it was released in February.
havoc is very stable and customizable rom and it have a very good battery backup... with illuminate kernel (for pie) or purecaf (for q) is the most perfect rom for this phone... 1k times better of stock !!!!!! with an antutu score of 123k is a must have rom for this phone... but i have a problem with these unofficial builds: because I want to stay with pie some more time, i had installed the 2.9 build (with febbrary 2020 security patch) but all hovoc unofficial build from this maintainer have same problem: at random ...when some app crash... phone freeze some seconds and after go to "Black Screen of Death" mode... nothing work... phone is a dead brick... no sign of live... only thing you can do is press power button 10 second to perform an hard reset ...I have encountered this bug in all unofficial 2.9 builds (from 4pda and xda) from same dev ...same bugs.... official 2.8 build don't have this problem but security patch is oudated (august 2019)...
From where I can download illuminate kernel.please provide the link .

The ROM is fantastic, smooth, stable thanks for it.
Wifi is not working on j600g.
random reboots after flasing gapps and while installing apk.
it would be greatt if we get 3 button navigation bar customizations
The ROM is very good, fast, stable and is the only one I have the network working.
But I wanted to say a few things.
The first is that the brightness is a bit buggy and the volume is lower compared to the stock ROM, but the main thing is that the second and third versions do not work. After installing the latest version on gdrive (I had neither magisk nor gapps installed) after configuring, when it went to the launcher simply my j6 crashed and restarted by itself and returned to the setup and it always happened repeatedly, I decided to test the second version (29-06) and the same thing happened, but as I was hoping for this ROM I installed the first version and it worked, so much so that I am writing in it right now.
I know it's still in beta, but at this point the ROM looks great. Thanks for doing this rom, I hope for new updates!
(sorry for Google Translate English, )
And thanks Google Translate for mailing this post on English! (Device using the ROM: Samsung J600-FN)

Had the same issue, just run the uninstaller script from Magisk's github, it should boot fine. I tried both stable and beta releases of Magisk and had the same isue.
Because I know people are going to ask, FOD is working, but not when the screen is off.
Also, @joeyhuab, do you really need to bundle gapps with the rom? Could you at least just bundle the bare minimum for Play functionality? I don't like having duplicates of apps if I don't use the oness Google makes. Btw, what's with the camera app? One of the things I really liked about this ROM was the MIUI camera, which works really well on this phone. The one you guys put in barely has any features at all.

I didn't say Screen Off FOD was included.
I bundle gapps to avoid new users having to be confused over which gapps package to install after the ROM. Also, if this were to imitate a Pixel device, how could it be without any gapps? Feel free to flash any other AOSP ROMs out there as it's my choice to include gapps and it won't change my mind.
I didn't bundle MIUI's Camera yet due to build issues. I hope you understand that not everything can be bundled in easily.
Thanks Joe! Working great here, looking forward to the updates and your lovely support
Thank you Joey, hope evox android 11 gets as stable as android 10 build ASAP

Of course mate, but I knew people were going to ask about it, I wasn't complaining.
Sure, you can do whatever you want with it, I didn't mean it as an attack, just wondered why you wouldn't give users choice.

Clean flash only.
Excelent work @kevios12 . Thanks for that.
I flashed it clean initially, but it did not work well. So I had to reflash the latest stock ROM (from here), flash it with odin, the install TWRP 3.6_kevios, and only then install this image + BitGapps.
Working smoothly so far, really happy with it.
So far, the only functionality that does not seem to work is the "Automatic brightness" thing, but the rest seems even better than the previous crdroid release.
I flashed the ROM too. In the setup wizard it wasn't possible to set up the Google account and i couldn't find the option to restore my cloud backup in my Google Account, when i set it up later, but the ROM works really well!
Is it possible to set the theme to pure black?

New Update is Out!
Changelog 2022/01/15
* January Security Patch
* crDroidAndroid 8.1
Thanks for this great FW! It makes this A40 device really smooth again. Only experienced some WiFi dropouts with a connected FRITZ!Box 7590AX (WiFi ax, 2,4 and 5 GHz with WPA2/WPA3). And how can the Google Camera app be used (as the most easy camera interface I know)? Crashes after starting the app here.
Awsome work, Thank you very much for this rom. Only problem I've seen so far is not working screen auto brightness.
SM-A405FN
Also the problem with BitGapps is that it does not resinstall itself after installing an update. Nikkgapps does that, but I'm not sure it's compatible. Anybody?
Is it possible to have encrypted storage with this?

Thank you.
Autobrightnes and deep sleep are working fine now.
P
Flashed the ROM yesterday. Great work, thanks a lot !
Unfortunately I went into bootloop at cr Droid logo after doing this: enabling adb debuging (USB and root), then additionally choosing "data transfer" (in German: Datenübertragung, I don't know, what's the correct term in English) in USB. The phone shut down after about 2 Mins I did this. After that no boot possible.
I have a logcat (2.8 MB .txt file). I tried to attach it. Unfortunately that doesn't work. I think it is because of the 10 posts rule. But I could send the logcat in another way, if anybody is interested (in this case please tell me how eg. mail...).
Thank you for this great work. After 10 days of trial , the ROM is adopted and I have updated to 8.2.
My main concern is sound volume which is too low. With a boost volume application (Volume Booster by Goodev) I can get good sound volume. My ROM is rooted and I wonder if it is possible to adjust sound volume permanently with some configuration and avoid to use a volume booster app.
ROM works like a charm - perfect!
If anyone has successfully tested a Gcam port on A40, it would almost complete this new life of A40 device.
Hello All,
I have already cdroid 7 on my wifes phone, but I see a little lag with UI (not ROM related)

[NEWS]
08/27/2022
Development has started on Spark OS 13, for the most part it seems to be going well. I have gone the way of the others and making the jump to using OOS 12 as a base. I do plan on making the first release available through the same channel as I normally do, and making the first build fastboot install only to avoid having people fiddle with upgrading to the latest stock and having is be a whole production.
Here is a preview build. Do not rely on it as your daily driver. It also won't play nice with the saved settings from the previous build, since they're yet to be implemented.
Preview Build
08/20/2022
Reverted QCOM-CAF Display source to working previous commit.
Updates to Framework, Fireworks, and Settings have been included.
Updates to QCOM-CAF Media and Audio have been included.
Created VM to produce builds in timely manner.
I'll continually fork SparkOS' build manifest until it build successfully from their changes or until my source is from OOS 12. Right now the builds are stable.
07/26/2022
Updated to 12.5.
Defaults to 90Hz and 60Hz in Low Power Mode.
Smart Pixels mode is available.
Adaptive Charging is available.
Updated GCam Mod to latest version.
Lawnchair and Lawnicons are available by default.
Optimized build for smooth experience.
Updated build process to incorporate applications and prop settings for less chances of failure.
06/02/2022
Initial Spark OS 12.3 Official Build
Added Lawnchair 12.1.0 Alpha 3 with Overlay and Lawnicons.
Merged with changes on Evolution X device tree with edited to properly function on ROM.
Device Settings and Touch Gestures are still from my fork.
Camera is still GCam Mod so vanilla builds are still not a possibly.
I feel this is a spiritual successor to the previous unofficial ROMS and I am trying to make this unique to the other devices that use Spark OS.

I just tried to replicate the Fingerprint issue you described on my system, completely clean system. I can only verify when the enrollment occurs the screen brightens up a significant amount but this is on a black background. On normal case unlocks it is not. In either case it's not getting to the full brightness a HDR10+ screen can go.
I uploaded a new recovery and OTA zip for 04232022 and this is verified working (Update fixes a OTA mismatch issue I had a few times).

Anyone able to check if this include 5G connection type control in OnePlus Settings? Some ROMs do not include it. It is to change the 5G connection from SA to NSA.

As I currently have two Nexus 7s to play around with (as well as two Mi Pad 4s) I thought I'd have a look at this ROM and compare it to the Lineage 19.1 ROM I've been using on my other device.
No problem installing it after using CROSS to change the partition. Boot up time is quicker than stock Android 6. 0.1 but a little slower than Lineage. WiFi and Bluetooth work fine and I'd say it's a good working ROM but with no standout features to switch longer term. Nova Launcher is the default but you'd need to install the paid for / modded version to change things like icon size. I couldn't find a DNS setting in developer options and that is a minus for me as I use Adguard to block ads with that.
Great effort by the developer and it's another option for owners of this device.
Edit: after using this ROM for a longer period I now would say that boot up time is quicker than Lineage and it's very fast and smooth. It's definitely an option for those that seem to have Bluetooth issues with the Lineage build.
Rom is snappy so far... only issue i have is with waze and spotify crashing every time when opened..
Hey, i have problem with youtube app it constantly crashes when I'm trying to open it. I installed google MicroG from link above since first one didn't work, and sometimes i get notification that "this app needs google play services but your device does not support it" and when i tried to update google play services it says error conflicting versions. What it might be ? Is there a way to fix it ? or GA package ?

If you use GApps, then download the latest arm-7.1.2 from https://bitgapps.github.io/, clean flash it along with the ROM and then try opening youtube.
If you want to stay with MicroG, then use alternatives like NewPipe for viewing YT content (I too use it)

Thank you for all of your hard work on this, and sharing it. I will be flashing this soon, but am curious if you have any intention of maintaining the rom with additional updates?

Of course I have no issues now , thanks.
before, I installed a wrong version of Elemental X , that's why black screen.
There are no updates in ROM source (Albert (krasCGQ)) which is why no new builds as of now..
I may have been too hasty to write above message
@SirRGB has revived the project by maintaining it with latest security patches and other helpful cherry picks!
All thanks to him _/\_
