You need root and twrp for that and unfortunately we do not have either for this phone. I have a csc change zip if only we had root

I tried that on my Swiss (AUT) GT-N8010 but i couldnt change it, when i open the app the only thing i see is AUT and i cant select anything else.
The swiss GT-N8010 is still on 4.0.4 and we didnt even get the ExFat fix.. so i wanted to change to the UK or German CSC ..
so what am i doing wrong? how do i get the app to give me a list of CSC codes to pick from?

That is because your rom is doesn't support multi csc , it easier to download uk rom from samfirmware and flash it

But from what I read, if i do that without changing the CSC I wont be able to get future updates from the stock fw?
Btw, my device isnt rooted or have any custom roms on it and its very important to me to keep Samsung stock fw.

I want to know if it needs the PIT file like the DBT. If not, then I'll flash it. don't be fkin sarcastic dude :good:
There's also different versions of the FW like HK is 16gb, not sure if the BTU is 16 or 32gb. Better to ask than flash and fcuk up a phone.
16 gb only in honkong and other assia country's
Can someone confirm what is new in this FW? :fingers-crossed:
about bloody time!
Id like to know whats new as well . . .its kitkat alright but apart from status bar icons being all white and the odd kitkat changes to ui elements . . Oh and camera shortcut on bottom right of lockscreen . . .i dont see anything else new ??
I must admit the whole UI and software has become alot faster and butter smooth and battery seems to be slighty better when phone is idle . .but again its only been a few hours and cant give a full battery score

Thank you!
For those interested by this, I tested the Temasek default modem and this in the same position in my hand, signal is low in my house anyways, but I consistently got a 4% stronger signal on my UK Three network.
Every little helps!

It can be flashed yes, so long as you don't have a HK model. -- And yes it is better to ask than to mess up, there's no such thing a stupid question only a stupid answer.
TL;DR
Yup flash away you should be good to go - You may need a PIT file depending on what firmware you are coming across from due to some minor size differences

On BTU it's mainly tweaked for modem rather than feature wise, small things but generally it's the Polish ROM more polished so to speak.
Im on XXUENB3 Poland
when i flash with odin only the auto reboot should be ticked right ?

It is most likely the fault of your carrier. If you really want the latest update now, you can always flash a custom rom.
It all depends on CSC . Only few got May update. Nordic Countries India Australia Brazil area. I am on XEU UK/Ireland and still on April. We have to wait

If your CSC is XSG Emirates u should have April update.

Unless he knows how to keep the same CSC I wouldn't recommend this one, is one of the carries with most Bloatware built in!

Effortless updating or unrooting

Hi,
I haven't followed the forum in quite a while because I'm to busy.
I'm on Android 6, rooted and I'd like to update the easiest way, without loosing anything.
Could somebody walk me through, what I have to do? I would really appreciate that.
btw, I don't need root on Android 7 for the time being.
Thanks

Just flash the latest Nougat 7.0 stock ROM for your model S7 from updato.com using ODIN 3.12.3 or newer
Use HOME_CSC instead of CSC to avoid a reset
CSC = Factory reset after flash
HOME_CSC = No reset

Hi thanks, that sounds promising. I have a doubt though.
First the updato.com webseite doesnt let my choose a model with any browser.
I went to Sammobile.com and found a couple of roms. Here it comes:
2017-08-24 Germany (Vodafone) 7 G930FXXU1DQH5 G930FVFG1DQH1 YES
2017-08-22 Germany (T-Mobile) 7 G930FXXU1DQH8 G930FDDX1DQF3 YES
2017-08-22 Germany (Congstar) 7 G930FXXU1DQH8 G930FDDX1DQF3
My CSC is XEG, but there are multiple CSCs in Germany:
Germany DBT, DTM, DUT, EPL, MAN, MBC, OXA*, VD2, VIA, XEG
How do i determíne which , if any is XEG. Could i flash the stock rom somehow without flash the CSC, keeping the old one? Or can i get the CSC from another source?
thank you so much,
nearly
