Rooting procedure is already available for Mi 4i.
You can easily root Mi 4i by following the procedure from androidxda.com it has given simple procedure to root Mi 4i

It's for the A2, AFAIK ours should have buildname PDLMIFJ.
The V10.0.2.0 rom for the Mi 2 Lite is currently on beta, should be relesead in the next couple of weeks

Just the normal Xiaomi way.
Follow the instructions on the Xiaomi site to unlock. Only the "waiting" time is enlarged to some 50 to 100 hours. But there is no stable odorexed ROM to replace the original ROM so do not hurry.
