We're sorry, but it appears your attempt to unlock the bootloader on this device has failed. This could be caused by several factors including simple errors in the entry of the unlock token, problems with your device, or a lack of manufacturer support for the unlocking process. Please see the specific error code listed below, and try again if necessary.
Error Code: Invalid Bootloader Token Length.
Error Reason: The submitted Token appears to be the wrong length and won\'t work.
can anyone help me i did all the steps correctly, is anyone else having this trouble and is there any other way to root my OneX helppppppppp

Which variant do u have (att, rogers)?

You may want to do a bit more research before attempting these types of things in the future.
1. HTCDev is for unlocking your bootloader, which if you have AT&T, doesn't work.
2. A root method is available in another thread in the development section.
3. The development section is not here to post questions to developers. It is here for developers to communicate with one another and to post their work. There is a specific forum for questions called the Q&A forum.
Hope this helps.
This belongs in Q & A but if you have the att version, you cannot use htcdev to unlock your bootloader. It is being blocked by att.

and dont post here right? ...post in Q&A for future ref
Thanks
As stated already, the AT&T version is locked out and cant be unlocked by HTCDEV. There are already several threads with ongoing discussions about this and attempts to get around it.
Also, moved to Q&A...

How to unlock bootloader.?

Hi i have a tesco UK moto.G with sim unlocked to any network.
I have tried to get an unlock code for the bootloader but when i enter my string on the Motorola website it
states bootloader can not be unlocked and no code is given or a link to ask for one.
So can anyone advise me how i might unlock the bootoader so i can root and install a recovery.
Is there a simple step by step available...
many thanks

Any spaces in the string? Removed the word [Bootloader] ? Used all the lines of the string?
I can get a device ID, and my device is listed as supported, but I am getting "Device not found" error when verifying that my device is eligible for unlock. Why?
This error means that our unlock tool checked our online database but could not find a match between the Device ID/Unlock Data you submitted and any device in our database. This should only happen if the device data entered is not correct, or there are delays in updates to our device database.

I can retrieve a device ID, and my device is listed as supported, but I am getting another error. Why?
"DEVICE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR UNLOCK" ERROR
This error means that our unlock tool checked our online database and determined your device and carrier combination is not part of our unlockable bootloader program and, therefore can not be unlocked. Some of our operator partners do not allow unlockable devices on their networks. That is why a device with one operator may be unlockable, but the same model with a different carrier might not.

9. Don't get us into trouble.
Don't post copyrighted materials or do other things which will obviously lead to legal trouble. If you wouldn't do it on your own homepage, you probably shouldn't do it here either. This does not mean that we agree with everything that the software piracy lobby try to impose on us. It simply means that you cannot break any laws here, since we'll end up dealing with the legal hassle caused by you. You write about it wherever >you< >can<, but for what purpose?
There is a change in the calendar year and perhaps an opportunity to change servers. Wait patiently for an announcement.
Edit 2023-01-05
I did some research and it looks like it's over with developer support.
As with LG at the end of 2021, now it's time for HTC, followed by Nokia.
the website is back
But after pasting the mobile phone Token code and submitting the case, it will be displayed

Any clue for request UBL now ?
Can the old Unlock_code.bin use other u11?
You can submit. I just submitted successfully.
Can submit but EMAIL can not receive Unlock_code.bin
The htcdev used to auto reply with the unlock code instantly but this time you have to wait forever.

Obviously it doesn´t work.
When submitting your identifier token, you´re basically submitting your device´s unique IMEI and serial no aswell.
Based on this, the unlock code is again device specific.
I even see how the identifier hash itself changes every time i boot into fastboot mode.
btw. still no e-mail from htcdev.
The htc support team didn´t even understand what i was talking about when i told them htcdev wouldn´t work.
Sad
In this case, he should have a method of generating bin to automatically generate and reply
I went to ask the customer service of htc, and he said that this unlocking service will not be opened in the future.

So now what?
They closed the service without any sign, deadline or announcements?
