Direction Lock, can we bring it back ? - Samsung Galaxy S10e Questions & Answers

Hi Everyone,
i just switched from S7 to S10e and so far, I'm really enjoying the experience.
One thing is bothering me though : where the hell did the ''direction lock" go ?
I used it instead of the standard Pattern lock screen for those moments when the fingerprint sensor don't want to work properly
Is there any way to bring it back ?

[Q] Screen unlock method

I' finding that my galaxy S2 is unlocking in my pocket regularly and changing settings, calling people and opening apps. This is very bad for obvious reasons and I'm looking for a solution.. I currently have resorted to having a passcode to unlock but it's less than ideal. I don't like the pattern idea much either - this isn't to stop people getting into my phone (I'd like people to be able to) it's to stop my pocket unlocking the phone.
I was hoping there was something similar to pattern unlock - a shape unlock. So instead of sliding across to unlock you slide through a circle or something instead..
Any suggestions?
I've had this problem as well. I try placing the phone in my pocket with the display facing away from me. Another thing you could do is to get a pouch or a display cover for your phone...
thanks for the reply, I'm not really happy with a pouch.. I did try having the screen out - I just feel like if I bump into anything it'll crack pretty easily (in my job this could happen easily)
I don't like passcode or pattern unlock screen too, neither stock unlock, so I use Widget Locker from market. You can find many on market to suits you best.

Setup Android's Voice & Face Lock for securing device

Prologue: This was something I saw first on Notebooks/Laptops! Face lock and Voice lock, not only its too trendy but also too secure to rely on. Well Android's new version are been loaded with this along with PIN lock, Password lock and even Pattern lock which were in previous versions too. I've tried many apps on store, but the stock is the best of all I've tried.
Uses of Face Lock and Voice Lock
→ You can set your face as your Password - Yup you'll get some privacy
→ More secured (when compared with Pattern, PIN, Password Lock)
→ Helps you Show off your phone
How precise is Face and Voice Lock
Face detection is better than those in Notebooks, that's what I felt after trying. Though you need to have a front camera which is not so great comparatively, the face detection is cool and accurate. One thing I would regret is face lock is not much at low light environment. But you don't have to worry coz you can also unlock by PIN if your face is not detected
Availability
Though the Apps on Store support phones from 2.3 to till date version, stock version can be seen in 4.2 Jellybean and onwards. So if you are using anything less than this, you may have to wait for update. ICS users can enjoy this feature - thanks to developers. All you have to do is flash a zip to install this feature.

How to setup??
→ Navigate to Settings>Security>Screen Lock
→ Select Screen Lock> Then Voice Lock or Face lock
→ Firstly you'll have to setup a PIN do it!
→ Now you can easily setup Face Lock or Voice Lock - Just follow on screen instruction
My experience with Face & Voice Lock
Well setting up of Face Lock or Voice Lock was cool but using it every time to unlock was a pain . You'll have to show your face every time to camera and smile! So could stick on.. May be different in your opinion.. Try it!!

Click to collapse
If I get hold of your phone when unlocked I can add my face to your device without pattern/pin
Big security flaw
Yet fun if they fix it
It's all cool and handy, as long as you don't mind your device is literally watching and listening to you and everyone around. Same applies for fingerprint reading which gives nsa...I mean google and oems pretty nice databases
Useless
What the well is this admin , fully MAD who share this post ?????
For the time being this looks like a gimmick and not much else. Generally impractical and as you mentioned quite tedious to do so. Nonetheless, biometrics is improving at a solid pace. Wonder how much more can we go in the next 5-10 years.

Notification Screen Tweak

Hi All,
I've just migrated from an iPhone (i've been iPhone user all the while) to a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. One thing that I miss about the iPhone is that notification screen especially for whatsapp whereby it does not lump all together into one thread and it gives you the option to reply from the lock screen.
I am wondering if there are such ability for Android (I'm quite sure that there is). If so , could you kindly point me to the right direction

Lock Screen Banner

Ok so I got my U11 all setup and working great stock for now. But I noticed on my lock screen it somehow now has my lock screen banner that I had on my Samsung. Anyone know how to change this without rooting?
Never mind I finally found it.

lockscreen doesn't work

Hi, I've an s6 edge with ultimate nougat rom s8+, but no matter what rom I've, because in each rom, even stock, fingerprint doesn't work from 6/ 7 mouth. when I noticed that I had no fingerprint setted, so I don't know which is the cause. the bad thing is that I can't set any kind of lockscreen because when I try to set a new one, setting app crash. Is possible that a bad fingerprint does all these things? I tried the secret test menu (*#0*#) and according this menu the fingerprint works and pass all the test stages. If i try to make the test with the finger on the sensor, the test fails, so I now that put the finger on the sensor does make something. If it can help, I changed the battery with a genuine one, and also the usb/jack board (genuine too). Please help me!
thank you
