SYGAV Android Head unit-The latest MCU and system firmware updating - MTCD Software Development

Here is the link to download the latest MCU and system firmware with instructions.
https://www.sygav.com/blogs/system-firmware

Another Chinese head unit reseller, what is the manufacturer code?
Other resellers have come and gone, promising support, stating they want feedback to improve their units, all without delivering. Will SYGAV be any different and if so, how?

If you check the link fella it will give you all the details as well as MCU details I think.
But if you goto their website and look at one of their pictures of a headunit I did see what the version of MCU it was but didn't think to remember it.

Buyer beware.
Yo willie,
The link doesnt identify firmware version. This post is probably an attempt at advertising.
FYI, I downloaded and decoded the MCU, ShyteAV are reselling HA MTCD units.
Info from MCU image:
Manufacturer F: HOTAUDIO
Manufacturer S: HA
Version: V3.40

I see what you're saying. But the download links are there too. And can be downloaded without making a purchase.

Or by downloading from the Dasaita/HA thread, which is where the OP ostensibly obtained these updates from anyway.

All this cheating going on. Too many Chinese Manufacturers out there.
What we need is just one or two of these manufacturers to go above and beyond the rest with quality and build and especially support.
Most of these names I've never even heard of so I definitely wouldn't buy one.
I just stick to Xtrons brand as I've never had a bad experience with them. But it's only a badge I know. But even they don't really bother giving out firmware updates.

I have the sygav unit in my 2019 Honda Civic LX and the only thing wrong is i lost some dash display icons and gain the Turbo icon yet I don't have a Turbo anyone else have this issue

Samsung Galaxy S4 i9502 - General Discussion Thread

As the main discussion thread for the Samsung Galaxy S4 i9502 has now been closed, due to the original question being answered, I thought that I would start a new one, since we need somewhere where i9502 owners can talk. I am happy to keep this post updated with important information regarding the i9502.
For those wanting to install Google Play on the mobile, and to resolve issues relating to caller ID, I recommend installing SVA ROM v2.5 on your device. I have written up a guide on how to do this, at the link below:
If the ROM helps you, be sure to thank _SVA_
Thanks MarrkDaviid for creating a new thread, I just saw the closed thread and was worried that i9502 users won't be able to share info with each others.
First Thanks to Marrk !
I hope we can go on to discuss, help and develope for the 9502.
Like on Marrk's blog i made an illustrated guidance for installation of CWM, ROOT, remowing bloadware, updating STOCK-ROM
like Marrk does but it is in german speech. I will see to make it in english too.
goes like hell
No worries, direct links are good.

Thanks for this new thread.
Thanks to Marrk to create this new thread!!
As him and Goes Like Hell me too I had written a "Step by Step" tutorial in Italian language in order to help in flashing roms on Samsung Galaxy gt-i9502.
Below is the link to the most followed Italian Android Forum:
In the previous page of the Italian thread (post #121) I also recognized credits specifying that they provide all the contents and I only organized, merged and translated their guides for italian users.
Ciao!
HI,
I checked your new thread. Good tutorial.
Thanks for new thread.
One thing I cannot get out of my mind is - described this in the older thread - when or if the caller recognition (match number to address book) really be fixed.
The caller recognition in SVA ROM (it must be the radio stack in Stock Rom causing it) is matching the number in a strange way, in most of Europe (at least) it cannot handle a contact stored in a different way compared to how the operators sends it (prefix or not).
I got explanation from European guy that normally for caller recognition a phone tries to match, starting from the last, nine numbers from last position to the left. So, if matched the last ones, it get the name. Don't know if it is true, source not confirmed.
Anyway, the method used on these firmwares seems to work everywhere, have been traveling with my European i9505 in Europe, Asia and US with no issues. So why implement another behavior on the i9502- I just don't get why an operator request this from cell manufacturers.
Last post on this issue. I wait and see if it ever will get fixed. I can live with phone numbers stored in double format.
PS - I can use any number length on the SVA caller id, no difference at all, phone can still and only match my contacts as long as I store them in correct format.

I live in Italy and in my contact list I have some numbers stored with Country prefix, some other numbers without Country prefix... and i do not notice missmatch with caller id... Often enough I receive call by customers living abroad Italy and if I do not have their number stored in the contact list, instead of their name, it appear the name of the city from where the call is coming (e.g. Seoul, London, Washington D.C. etc. etc.).
Have a nice day! ; )

OK - Will test it in Italy next time I am there.
The thing is when the carrier sends the number without country code it is impossible for the caller id to be matched if contact is stored with country code - the caller id match from left to right it seems and it will then be a conflict with the prefix/country code when doing so. From right to left, it would probably work fine.
Hi, I've got a galaxy s4 i9502 arriving soon. I was wondering what the difference is between the procedure shown on video and the sva procedure for installing Google play? The video one seems easier. Any major differences?
Thanks

It would be great if someone could fix this issue, the problem is that ROM developers would rather work on the i9505 and the i9500, rather than the i9502, due to them being more common devices with a larger community, with no issues due to being sourced from China.

You are better off following my new procedure:
The main differences are that Caller ID works better, SVA ROM v2.5 is already rooted and you don't have to manually remove Chinese bloatware. The new procedure is actually quicker, after you have downloaded the initial files.

The differences in terms of appearance and functionality are minimal between the two procedures. I recommend following the new procedure, otherwise you will have caller ID issues.
Hi folks,

QPST 2.7 build 419

Hi all,
I would like to share with you the latest build I've found of QPST, it is version 2.7 build 419.
This not my personal work, I just found it online a couple of days ago.
It seems to be legit and it does not contain any viruses (checked with Virustotal.com)

Just because you say "not fake, without viruses" doesn't make it true. I just checked out your file, and sure enough, like all other .422 releases, it installs a backdoor, modifies your registry, and installs a keylogger that uploads everything you type to "qpst.hopto.me".
So now the question is, are you so ignorant that you just go around proclaiming things to be virus-free without having a clue what you're talking about, or are you trying to intentionally spread this malware for some other reason?

Ok, you're correct. I was trying to bait you with my previous post, in order to see your reaction, as most people who are unsure or are up to no good would come up with some excuse at that point. Since you didn't, I went ahead and download the file you linked, decompiled it to have a look, and installed it on one of my non-network connected machines, and it does, in fact, appear to be clean.
I apologize for stating otherwise, and I'll edit my earlier post. Please understand, though, that there has been a supposed .422 build (in addition to the .402 one you mentioned) going around for several months (including here at XDA) that contains malware as I described earlier. I don't take any chances with some of my systems, and I don't like to see unsuspecting folks, such as the members here, unwittingly fall victim to such things, hence the reason I acted as I did.
Again, I meant no offense, I just wanted to be sure. Thank you for sharing this release.

MTCD 5.1 Units Spotify

Hi Everyone,
I have a Joying unit with 5.1 and I love it. Only big problem I have is that the unit does not work very well with spotify. I need help doing the following:
1. How can I set the steering wheel button to launch Spotify or any music app I choose? Right now I am only able to launch the default music player.
2. Pressing next song via the steering wheel works on the default media player but not with Spotify. Anyone know how to fix this?
Also to the Mods I see there is a MTCD dev section but not a Q&A section. Will there be one soon?
I'd like to know the answers as well!
I tried the app CarService by Keiser but I cant figure out how to get the key codes since all I have is SWC for next.

We as in Joying? Why don't the resellers like Joying and Erisin fund the development of better apps and roms? I think that would lead to a better product and more sales.
I really think it would be a good deal for Joying to gift a 5.1 unit to Malaysk!
...Maybe Joying don't know how many head units are sold in the world only because of his modded rom?

I got into the head units because I use them my self and now I am sell and repair Joying Head units but I barely make any money to cover the cost of free head unit for donation.
I have tried to convince the manufacturers to donate a unit but they would rather do their own development so this is left up to the community. what I can do is get it to him for the cost price and maybe with a free DVR or something.

It's obviously a question, I have no reason to advertise their services.
I, like most on this site, always like to have the latest and greatest Rom available and when I saw their tweet, I got really interested in what's new but can't see the changelog anywhere.
Like I said, I'm updating tomorrow morning but by your response, maybe I should keep the feedback to myself.

Why would you pay soneone to get something that ahould free. It's highly suspicious anyway that XDA is shilling their services . The new Rom is already available via ota, if not then just wait a little bit.
XDA and funky Huawei could easily just leak the tools server side tools and roms, make everything public as it's supposed to be.. but instead they choose ......

Why are you prompting such a paid service that goes against all principles of the android open community? Not meant as an insult, just a legitimate question.
They ask 66 USD for unlock codes that can be obtained 75% cheaper for example, how fair is that to the community? Or charge money for an update that should be free. It's 2019 com on bro.

I didn't pay for the unlock code from them. I paid 22$ for that. It's 55USD for an unlock code for me from Funky.
Updates should be free. Yes. But when I'm working with 3 other guys trying to get the AL00 to as close to a L29 as possible I update, and provide files, libs and props. So the credits come for me at a fraction of the cost.
I have even stated in telegram, that once credits run out, I will not buy anymore
Ok bro
@duraaraa - EVR-LGRP2-OVS 9.0.0.184 is showing getting package info failed on my EVR-L29. Is this the correct file? Have DNS set and have used Funky before, so not sure what the issue is.
Update worked for me but there's no info in the changelog and the only changes I've noticed so far are the Security Patch is January 1, 2019 and the camera has a Super Macro option.
The biggest issue for me so far is that although the update itself didn't factory reset the phone, the bootloader got locked during the update so I had to unlock it again which prompted a factory reset.
I had to use the unlock code again so I'm glad I saved it.
Also, have not been able to install the patched recovery_ramdisk yet. Getting an error when trying to boot holding Vol+.
Can't say it's been the smoothest update and had I known of the issues, I wouldn't have done it

On the emulator, you can run the radio application at best, the rest of the firmware will not work. Believe me, I tried and for a very long time. As a result, I had to buy a separate device for development.
