What? You download and install the apk. Then download the zip and extract to a folder called monofonts. You choose which fonts to install from the app.
Heypresto there in your display settings under fonts are the fonts you installed.
Where does language come into play?

Heres a screenshot of monofonts.
It looks like everything is English to my eyes.

all I can find is the website that sells fonts I cannot find mono font app.

I tried flipfont app but I can't get it installed because there's no install button on Google play and I installed 1.0 of flipfont from pure APK website. i just got the logo screen n it would not load the app.

Install the apk monofonts app
Create a folder called monofonts and extract the zip to that folder.
Go to the monofonts app and install the apk of the desired font from there.
Then go to your settings/display/font size and style select the font you installed. Now it should be showing your new font throughout the system there's no need to reboot the phone.

Tried it. The font is listed, but getting the font is not available error again.
Works great as far as far creating the apk, installing & having it listed as a font. However, when I select the font it says, "This font is not available."
Edit: Tried using Root Explorer & moved "example.tff" to system/fonts & still getting the same error. Also tried moving the font apk I created into that folder, installed from there & got the error, again. "This font is not available."

Really? I tried several fonts downloaded from Google Play, but non of them working so far ... maybe cuz i tried free fonts, not the payed ones. The funny thing is that i followed the "Get more fonts" link in Settings/My Device/Display/Fonts ... shouldn't they all be compatable with the S4 if u follow that official link? Strange ... now how should i know which one will work or not before purchase it?
As far as i get it this is not a S4 issue, it's because Android 4.2.2 ...

Rolling back from MM to 5.1.1

Apologize first if this is not posted in the right place. I wanted to know if it was possible to roll back to 5.1.1 so I can set my font to Roboto Condensed (as all 3rd party fonts do not work on MM) and retake the update. I learned the hard way about the fonts and I really want Roboto back.

iOS emojis without root?

Hi guys
just wanted to know if its possible to put ios emojis on the mate 9 without rooting?
in /system/fonts there is a notocoloremoji.ttf file that needs to be replaced for this to happen.
is it possible to replace the file without root and have it work?
thank you!
Also how do we flash a stock fw?
over here: http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php?find_model= we can download the full fw for our model # (or OTA)
how do we go about flashing it on our device?
im on MHA-L29C636
the pixel seemed easier to flash ughhh

Yes it is possible to change emojis whitout root, i have tried it with my Mate 9 Pro and got it to work this way. First download ios 10.2 emoji ttf file, i have the ttf file, but i cant post a link because xda wont let me post links, anyway after that, download IFont app from play store and choose custom fontfile ios 10.2 that you downloaded on your phone. The IFont app creates huawei theme file in themes menu, just choose that theme and you will have ios 10.2 emojis, the bad side is that because of emui 5 bug with fonts, the font only changes if your phones display language is english.

Huawei use dload method to flash firmware but you need offline firmware that is not available for users only for services centers.
We only got 2 offline firmwares one for C636 as yours and one AL00.

I downloaded one ttf I found but it turned the number keys on gboard white so I cant see them without a dark theme. Any idea of a ttf that adjusts the colors properly?
Edit, seems it also replaced the font with a horrible cartoon version. This would be great if the font style didnt change and just the emojis did.

The emojis would be in the font file so unfortunately you're at the mercy of what font the person who did the emojis used. I wish there was a way without root to separately change them.

whats the purpose of hw_data? in the dload.rar i downloaded there already is a .app file with data_hw?
also, the dload.rar file is different from the update.zip from huwawei's website for the c636 (http://hwmt.ru/oth/HWFF/info/view.php?find_model=)
can we extract the update.zip and use that to flash via 3 button power recovery?
if not, then what are the update.zips for? (id assume they are for the 3 button recovery, then you'd have to flash public_data then full_hw zips.
as you can see, if you right click a update link and copy link address youll get this:
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1366/g104/v74777/f1/full/update.zip
Remove "update.zip" to filelist.xml - now you get the location for update.zip, full_hw.zip and data_full_public.zip
so my point is, can we use the update.zip from huwawei's website instead of the one in that thread? (following the same instructions)

You can recover ur phone anytime cause u r lucky on C636
The update.zip that you download has inside some online security check that's why it wont install,we already tried many zips.
Before mate 9 all phones like mate8 P9... Was able to use dload method to flash the phones but not anymore on mate9.
Hw_data is like userdata.img so it has all the apps that work with specified firmware.

Changing Pixel font.

Hey guys I was looking for some advice on changing the system font on my Google Pixel. I rooted the phone yesterday and I'm happy with the default ROM and Google launcher. With previous phones I've used iFont but with the Pixel I get an "error 7" when trying to set a new font.
I'm pretty sure you can change fonts with substratum.

I haven't messed with it but I know it's capable of changing fonts. I think it requires a compatible rom so stock rooted might not cut it. You'll have to dig around to find out more about substratum. I'm sure there's lots of info out there.

I downloaded the Font_Soma_Bold_Taller_v1 file from the first link. It said just to replace the fonts inside with your own and flash. It's under the Pixel sub forum so I guess it's one that would work. My question was just if I only have one type of the font can I copy the same one over Italic, bold etc and just have the same font universally all over the phone?
Also would I rename my font to roboto-black.ttf, RobotoCondensed-regular.ttf etc?

In theory, you can do that. Of course make a backup of your original fonts. I'm not sure how short you are of the correct fonts.

looking for a font app for s10+ unrooted

Hi as title says I'm looking for any font apps that may work with an unrooted s10+ I've looked through the galaxy store and been un- impressed as I couldn't find what I wanted. Do you guys have any recommendations for any font directories that work for Samsung ??

Wingfonts, here's a link to the download.
You have to put the exe on your computer (which you will find in the wingfonts folder on your phone after installing the apk. Connect with usb and usb debug and run the exe on your computer, install theme, select font. Then restore your current theme after you select font.
Or you can use synergy and substratum lite theme maker where some themes have font package overlays.

Thanks. I'll have a look tonight after work. I never thought of substratum I'm currently using sub lite with so that might be the easiest option. Thank you very much

These are the three with font overlays.
Thanks for the wing fonts suggestion. I ended up installing telegram to Download the most recent wing font apk file, which has synergy support, meaning I didn't need to use abd. They have literally thousands of fonts
