[Q] PC virus when connected to android using USB

I have samsung GT S7562 but problem I believe is not specific to the model
here is the situation in detail
when I connect Android phone with USB cable to PC
and Settings > Developer options > USB debugging is enabled
the dialer comes up on its own and dials 922,822,22 (about 6 of those every 15 to 30 minutes)
if I disconnect the USB cable or disable the USB debugging or connect to a different PC
this does not happen anymore
so I figured its a PC malfunction (virus probably) that affects android but the USB debugging has to be enabled in order to access the phone fully
on this particular PC (windows 8.1) I have connected many android helper apps (explorers etc) and I suspect one of them had virus
I will post back if I find anything more solid but please tell me how to debug such a situation
is there any application that will log all the application from PC that connect and use the dialer on the android
or any android app that will do this ?

is it possible to force usb connection to MTP mode?

Device: Nexus 5x, Marshmallow, rooted.
When I first connected my phone to my car, I was able to use MTP mode. Then, I launched BMW Connected Drive app once, and my car started to be recognised as a USB accessory. Even if I use developer options to select the MTP config, it automatically switches back to a USB accessory. I am wondering if it is possible to force the USB connection to MTP, or stop my phone recognising my car as a USB accessory?
Thanks!

MM and Android Auto

I flashed the MM upgrade on my US 5.5 and then did a factory reset, but now my Android Auto will not connect to my phone. I've tried swiping down and choosing MTP, but still does not connect. The phone is connecting to Bluetooth. After researching it seems to be a problem with Marshmallow and Android Auto. Does anyone know a fix?
Uninstall drivers and reinstall
Sent from my 6039S using XDA-Developers mobile app
There aren't any drivers. This is for Android Auto when I plug in to my Kia Sportage. Android Auto did work before the MM update, and it still works on other phones running 5.1.
Cant you just remove the device from android auto and then reconnect it?

I did remove the device, but Android Auto will not find the phone with the MM update. Seems to be a know issue with Samsung and LG devices.
I finally got Android Auto working by using the Developer options, Select USB configuration, RNDIS (USB Ethernet)

I have the same problem and i tried to put RNDIS but my cell doesnt get the configuration. Did you do something to put it on RNDIS?
I got a new car (Hyundai Kona) with android auto but my Idol 3 5.5 (6045I) will not connect to the car screen. I have MM on it (but not the 2 latest garbage updates). I have tried USB debugging, multiple(10) USB cords. I cannot get RNDIS to work on the USB -it reverts to charging. So my USB is set to MTP. My phone plays AA on it's own screen just fine but will not send it to the car screen. Bluetooth works fine.
The auto dealer rep tried his iphone (apple carplay) and another android phone and they connected just fine so it is not the car.
Any suggestions?

Can't get usb debugging working

Phone is rooted and on android 10 and xxxnolimits installed
I connected phone to pc and only charging. Tried 3 different cables, including official one and 3 different USB ports and not showing on pc. I can hear noise it's connected to pc but then another noise to disconnect
Usb debugging is enabled and default usb configuration I can change to file transfer, usb tethering , midi, ptp & no data transfer. I changed it to each of them still not showing
There is no option to choose mtb from drop down notification no notification is there
I rebooted phone and pc and cleared cache. Also i app settings allowed notifications.
I'm at the end of my tether trying to figure out what issue is as was working previously.
Now all its doing is charging
Any suggestions

Do you have the latest fastboot-adb platform tools installed? Just a thought.
Will check
However usb notification drop down not coming up on phone to change settings when I plug phone into port.
Also plugged phone into USB port of car for android auto and not picking it up
If I restore a backup would that be worth trying or does issue seems to be with usb port on phone?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling usb google drivers on your pc ( or your appropriate driver's for your phone).
Install OEM USB drivers | Android Studio | Android Developers
Discover links to the web sites for several original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), where you can download the appropriate USB driver for your device.

Are you talking about usb drivers?
I installed this one

Question Android Auto not connecting with car.

Hi,
Unable to connect android auto with car and my oneplus nord ce 2 5g device. sometime keep connecting/ disconnecting automatically.
Service center engineer failed to solve.
What I tried :
1 usb debugging enable
2 clear Android auto app data.
3 phone restart in safe mode.
4 reinstall the Android auto app update.
5 given all permission to Android auto app.
6 did factory reset but not connected
7 Tried with 8-9 different USB cables.
Please help me how to connect Android auto with my car.
Did you get this working?
On OOS13 with my OP9, the phone connects when I connect the phone to the USB with the car turned off and then it turn on the car. If I unplug and replug the cable the it doesn't connect. Almost seeming like restart the car is the only way. Sigh!
