Can someone explain why this happens?
what?
Send post to official huawei forum - maybe they will know more about this issue.
Don't see any weird tint at your picture...

Hi guys, while I love this phone we all know that it has a few little... quirks. I think I can live with most of them although the overheating this is really getting on my nerves. It really doesn't need to get that hot. Anyway, back on topic. I haven't seen this mentioned here so thought I would ask if anyone else thinks this is normal. Has anyone else noticed light seeping through from both sides, and also the top of the screen. Take a look at my pics and see what i'm talking about. I have the AUO panel, and just wanted to know if I should bother exchanging it. If this isn't normal then I'll take it back today.
Please let me know what you think.
Edit - I added the Ubuntu Wallpaper so that you can see how it is brighter in the middle but, it doesn't glow in that rectangular shape the way it does in the pic the first pic that I posted.
I just made a video showing the halo effect. Notice how the glow is always there (depending on what's on the screen as you don't really notice it when something bright is on the screen)
Notice how the backlight bleeds when there is a light object near the edge of the screen. I don't notice any bleed when the screen is all black. Is this normal?

I see it but it also looks part of the wallpaper...
Download dead pixel test from the market > set your brightness all the way up > now in dead pixel get the black wallpaper > check for bleed in a dark room.
I'd have to shoot a video to show you. If you move the wallpaper around in the gallery, you can see the edges light up more. I'll try to shoot a video and post. Be back in a minute.
Sorry to be off topic but whhat case is that, can you send me a link of it

I got it from amazon, but here's the link to it on their official website.

It's the smoke gray TPU case. Since I have your attention, does your screen do this, or is it just mine?
Here's a link to some pics I posted of it a while back. http://goo.gl/u3BPX
I've got an AUO and no bleed on mine. What was the build date on your unit?

I'm exchanging it today.
Good luck, hopefully you can test it out in the store and decline it if there are any issues. Shoots, check to make sure all the little bugs are gone from the new unit before you leave the store!
I've seen 4 in person and none of them had any bleed. You should exchange that unit as it is pretty bad. I have seen plenty of G2X's that looked like that though.

I have never noticed a problem with any pink spot on my camera (recording or pictures) and I have owned the phone for about 6 months. Yesterday and today I noticed a clearly visible pink spot in the center of the phone. I was filming at the beach and I could clearly see it. It was very bright out but I know ive been in similar conditions and never had a problem or at least it was not as visible.
Not sure what to make of this issue. I did update to the latest update that T-Mobile has pulled for now but I never noticed it after the update but now I can really notice it. I love this camera and I use it regularly for my Youtube channel.
I would appreciate any information or feedback. If you would like to see an example of what I am talking about it is located on this video ( bright lighting conditons) :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MExfsTTMVA
Also the one from the day before located here ( dimmer lighting conditions) :

Are there any suggestions?
Anyone else notice this problem?
what are you talking about? i don't see anything wrong in the videos
If you look close you can see it..... Its there.... First link look 0:40 to 0:45 also other places...
Second video link look 0:30 to 0:35
Its clearly there
...it doesn't look that noticable to me...but if it really bothers you take it to a tmobile store and get a $20 warranty exchange
I live in Ireland and I purchased the phone new from Ebay.
There is obviously a problem with the camera as you can notice. I did the editing on these videos to try and cut out the spot as much as possible but there is clearly a problem.
Has anyone else had an issue?
If you google pink spot camera problem you will notice it is an ongoing issue with many phones but I was unaware of this problem affecting MT4GS.....
pink shot

Yeah, I noticed the same bug when I took a photo of my grey sofa today. Strange and irritating.
Hope the camera will soon get updated with a fix.

I've adressed the bug on Lenovo's Motorola one vision forum hoping for a solution/fix.
Check if it doesn't look like G5+ tinted corners. https://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/help/red-corner-60fps-videos-t3578606

I had to try it myself after seeing those images from @badadam
I experienced the same thing, and you can even see the purple tint in the view finder without taking an actual photo so it can't be because of some post processing on images.. But it's only concentrated to the middle for some reason.
I got this answer from a support guy on the Lenovo one vision foum:
This looks like a limitation of the hardware under very specific conditions. I suspect attempts to tune it out were determined to cause other side effects, but we will report it.
I´ve now asked if my device has to be returned/swapped if it is a hardware issue or if a future update can fix the problem.
I recieved the following answer to the above question from Lenovo:
Yes, that's what I mean. My personal recommendation would be to use the Night Vision feature, as previously suggested. Flash always leaves some kind of visual variation. Replacing it with a new motorola one vision won't make a difference.
I then took the attached photo (taken with night vision, indoors, not in low light) and sent it as reply asking if it is a general problem with the one vision or I and others that have experienced the problem have faulty devices.
I am tempted to returning/swapping the device in the hope of the latter.
Otherwise I will probably return the device to buy another phone. Which would be sad as I am otherwise very satisfied with the one vision. But I can't live with a phone that can't take perfect indoors photos.
That's only last update
This is before update.
Only SW issue
Pixel 4a with November update. I set up this phone but wasn't using it as daily driver. Now that I started using it, I find a light blue tint on the screen. This is with normal use, not at some unusual angle of view
I don't have any screen messing apps or custom kernel and it doesn't change whether I set screen colors in normal /boosted /adaptive
Does anybody else have this? Any hints for troubleshooting?
Thanks for your time

When I get a shot and it's a source of light like a lamp or even the moon it appears green dots or ghosting. Is there anyone else with the same problem? Is there a solution or it's defective. Two poco x3 the same problem
I get similar green specks on my photos if my camera is aiming directly at the light source. Not for the moon or other dim sources but if it's direct light I get halos and sometimes green specks.
I don't believe this is a hardware error but if we both can recreate a particular scenario and my pictures don't have it and yours do, then we can help each other.
Let me know.
Mine also have this issue. https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/poco-x3-camera-issue.4225729/
