So I have the OnePlus 7 Pro (GM1917) US dual sim model with Oxygen OS 10.0.2GM21AA.
I was wondering how can I root my phone? The videos on Youtube are for Oxygen OS 9.5+ and not for Oxygen OS 10.
If anyone knows how, please let me know. Thank you.

Hi there, I just got my OnePlus 7 pro and I seen the root guide and have some questions.
I was wondering if anyone can answer my questions about rooting the OnePlus 7 Pro.
Currently I am on OSS 9.5.1 on 1917. This guide shows that I need to be on 9.5.4, but when I try to update the OOS it takes me all the way to 9.5.6.
What is the best way for me to root? Will 9.5.4 work for me since I am on something lower like the 9.5.1 OSS?
Any help would be appreciated. I have not used the phone yet due to me wanting to root it so I am hoping there is a solution

Search around the forums. Someone has posted a patched 9.5.6 boot img. That's how you'll get your root.

You probably wanna wait until the AA build is posted, there are audio differences in the BA version that only apply to Europe. I'd wait.

Yes its possible.. BA version is flashed on my phone. Rooted. Watch this video: Mode edit: Youtube link removed!
Just wait for the Global version. OB2 is pretty good anyways

I am also curious about the audio differences. I've already updated to with the EU rom on my 1910 variant, so I'll see if I notice any differences. I do know that Europe has tougher laws regarding the max decibels a phone is allowed to output to headphones. I've just downloaded the global rom however and it does give me the option to install it without wiping data, even though I have already installed the EU rom.

Hello so I got a op7 Pro from china and it has got hydrogenOs. I saw a lot of guides where they tell you to use the local upgrade to install oxygen os. But the problem is that the hydrogen os on this device is the latest version. Whereas the oxygen one on the oneplus 7 pro site is not. So when I try this method it tells me that downgrading is not allowed. I know I can wait for oneplus to update the download link so I can install that one instead but I am wondering if there is another way. Just flash a stock version?

I have a one plus 9 5g. I want to root my phone but can't find any discussions. Anybody deal with this phone that can give some input.
What Carrier do you have? AT&T for sure won't work with 5G in the USA.

On A-B device and very limited if any custom recovery. Not very likely. And as you can see this device in particular is getting lot less attention then the pro version. You may however find a little more help in telegram groups. But not much more.

My friend has the Oneplus 7 Pro 5G EU (GM1920) version and is still on Android 10. There are no official updates to that phone ever so I wanted to know if it's possible to install a custom ROM to maybe get A11/12/13 on it?
I've looked around a little bit and it seems most of the stuff is for regular 7 Pros and not the GM1915 5G EU version.
Do let me know if it's possible and if so, how I can go about doing it. Any help is appreciated!
