Hello so I got a op7 Pro from china and it has got hydrogenOs. I saw a lot of guides where they tell you to use the local upgrade to install oxygen os. But the problem is that the hydrogen os on this device is the latest version. Whereas the oxygen one on the oneplus 7 pro site is not. So when I try this method it tells me that downgrading is not allowed. I know I can wait for oneplus to update the download link so I can install that one instead but I am wondering if there is another way. Just flash a stock version?

I bought a Oneplus6 in China and updated it to the latest version of h2os which is 5.1.11.
Just wondering how i can switch this to Oxygen 5.1.9? I did some searching online but couldn't find a clear guide that i could understand. Do i need to wait until the latest Oxygen version is newer than the h2os version? I read that downgrading is not possible.

You should be able to just flash a full zip of the latest oxygen (there is a thread in the forum for it) via twrp, flashing the fullzip will completely overwrite your system so its ok.
But why do you want to switch? Hydrogen is like a Beta for Oxygen, they are testing the new features on hydrogen first

I'm thinking of purchasing a OnePlus 8T Chinese edition here in the UAE as it is much cheaper. However, I'm concerned with whether the software will be the same as the international units. Hence I want to update to the latest non-Chinese edition. I believe the Chinese editions come with HydrogenOS which I don't want. My question is will I be able to update my phone to the latest version of Oxygen OS if I buy the phone? If yes, could you please tell me how? I know I have to find the stock ROM for a different region and flash the device. But I've searched everywhere I could think of: the official OnePlus site doesn't provide a version as it has with other models yet, and I couldn't find any 3rd party link either. Any help would be appreciated.

The 8T I bought was listed as Chinese but came with OOS (KB05AA) installed and I've had no issues updating it. It's model number is KB2000.

Today, I did a small mistake of downloading android 11 stable update on my OnePlus 7 pro and I am facing a lot of issues and second mistake I did was downloading the Indian version of OnePlus 7 pro android 11 package instead of EU one. I have tried many times to downgrade to android 10. But couldn't. Is there any way to rollback my OnePlus 7 pro to stable android 10??

Hi
Okay, once you are on stable OOS11 , the only way to get back to OOS 10 would be to download the rollback OOS 9 zip. This will flash , and erase everything from your phone. Make a back up.
Or you could just wait for a newer version of OOS11 to come out and get the one you want.

I would download the msmdownloading tool (from instantnood) for your computer and fellow the instructions. Its not hard .

I have tried to download the oxygen rom from official site and use local upgrade but for some reason it doesnt work. It used to say that I can not downgrade but now a days it just says error and the progress bar doesnt move.
I have tried to contact the oneplus support too but they ask for the purchase receipt which I do not have I offered them to show the box but they wanted the receipt.
Can someone please give me some guidance on how can I migrate to oxygenos?

I think you just need to flash the OOS full firmware via local upgrade. I'm not sure. Just wait for another response to verify.
Hey guys, im kinda new here, so i local upgraded my oneplus 8t from 11.0.11.11 kb2000DA Indian varient, so i recently updated it to 11.0.13.13 KB2000AA, Now i want to upgrade to hydrogen os 11.0.14.14, but im unable to do the local upgrade, can anyone help me to do so??

You should use MSM (HOS package) to install Hydrogen OS.
