Hello I have a Samsung Galaxy J3 Prime, this phone only support the band UMTS 850/1700/1900MHz in 3G and in
(4G) LTE LTE 700 (B12) LTE 850 (B5) LTE 1700/2100 (B4) LTE 1900 (B2). And in Cuba 3G only work on 900MHz and 4G on 1800MHz. I have locking for methods to change this frequencies and I was wondering ?what happen if I use a modem.bin from other J3 Prime from other carrier that work on this frecuencies and I flash it on this phone sm-J327t1 using Odin? I do not have experience doing this process. I need help with this, anyone who can contribute is great.Thanks.
Only for curiosity if I open this menu *#2263# I can change the 4g band if I select 3 that is 1800 y works on 4g but only about 4s.

helo to everybody i'm realy new here and i want to know which frecuency this device support for 3G in gsmarena say that is 900/1900/2100 and the box say that is 1900/1700/2100.
i have a sensation 4g form t-mobile with the same frecuency in the box 1900/1700/2100 and it work with orange dominican 900mhz 3g frecuency.
for me th real frecuency is 900/1700/2100.
US T-mobile Frequency Specs
here is the T-mobile US specs for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus:
Band (frequency):
850 MHz;900 MHz;1800 MHz;1900 MHz;UMTS/HSPA+: AWS Band IV / 2100 / 1900 / 850
Infuse 4G never sold in Malaysia and Thailand officially...
Works well in Malaysia but 3G is not working in Thailand.
Anybody knows the solution ?
Should flash specific Modem ???
Thanks, guys...
1. What 3G bands are present there on the network you are on?
2. Are any of those bands present in Infuse?
Even within US, T-Mobile SIM in Infuse won't give 3G 'cos of bands incompatibility.

Will check and report here again,
Thanks, Dud...
Hello pal,
Infuse only support 3G - HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 but Thailand Providers (AIS, DTAC .. and others, I am not sure..) only support 3G / HSDPA 900 / 1900 / 2100..
So I think no matter what Modem you flash on Infuse, cannot use 3G in Thailand.., I think.
I also found out something weird is,
Almost every Samsung phones support HSDPA 850 /900 / 1900 / 2100 EXCEPT INFUSE 4G.
So this is because of bands incompatibility as diablo009 said...
Thailand Providers Truemove and DTAC support 3G band 850 MHz
( 3G UMTS/WCDMA , 3.75G HSPA(hsdpa)/HSPA+ )
Modem UCKL2 works fine.
How can this phone G2 D801, support LTE band IV and 17 without those frequencies, of 700Mhz and 1700Mhz?
It it only a HSPA+ (4G) phone?
The specs list frequencies for GSM / WCDMA and bands for LTE. D801 has bands 2, 4 and 17, so 1900, 1700/2100 and 700MHz. When scanning for networks I see AT&T, T-Mobile, former Metro PCS, and Verizon LTE networks.
hi
its unlock or lock?
I have lte
Sent from my LG-D801 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
This g2 is capable of LTE, although it is going to use allot of battery.
I have a Samsung Note Edge model N915W8 I recently got it unlocked from Rogers but when I try to activate it on wind mobile the phone picks up as roaming based on the specs it should be AWS compatible anyone have their N915W8 running on wind or mobilicity?
Model n915w8 does not work with aws
That's weird since the specs say otherwise. I was hoping it was just a software thing blocking the baseband similar to the s4

Actually, unlike Note 4 N910W8, Note Edge N915W8 does NOT have 3G AWS band needed for Wind/Mobility.
3g umts(w-cdma) frequency: 850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz
4g lte(lte-a) frequency: 700, 850, 1700, 1900, 2100, 2600 MHz
It does, however, have the AWS band (1700) for LTE. In theory, it should work once Wind gets LTE next year.
That was probably where I was erroneous with my thinking I saw the 1700 band but it was for lte not 3G thank you for the clarification your help is much appreciated
Physically have tested 3 units and none of them work.... I don't have the Platinum balls to drop the Qcn from N915T on N915W8.... it can cause major issues with network... also the Stock Rom is not up for N915W8 as well....
I can vouch that the n915t from T-mobile works on T-mobile (obviously), ROGERS LTE, Bell (Telus) LTE, Fido LTE, and WIND (no LTE but that other poster said they are getting it next year). I tell my friends get a T-mobile phone and unlock it since T-mobile has both sets of frequencies.

I checked both Rogers and Bell, both indicated that there's AWS (3G) bandwidth which makes the Edge should work with Wind. It could be the APN settings need some changes to it

Does the N915W8 work with freedom mobile now?
i didnt notice i had ordered the g955fd until a day after and im wondering since i live in the usa if im going to be able to use my carrier on this device. i use metropcs and live in a semi-rural area in georgia. i spend a lot of time in the city aswell. any info would be greatly appreciated.
MetroPCS is a US prepaid wireless service offered by T-Mobile US. MetroPCS uses T-Mobile US's GSM (1900MHz), a combination of UMTS/HSPA+(850MHz/1900MHz) and their 4G LTE networks.
For UMTS (3G) MetroPCS works on bands 2 and 4. UMTS B2(1900 PCS) and B4(1700/2100 AWS 1).
For LTE (4G) MetroPCS works on bands 2, 4, 12, 66 and 71. LTE B2(1900 PCS), B4(1700/2100 AWS 1), B12(700 ac), B66(1700/2100) and B71(600).
Samsung Galaxy S8+ G955FD supports all these UMTS/LTE bands except the B71(600) band. Usually GSM operators use higher frequency bands like the 2100/1900 MHz bands and rarely they use the lower frequency bands like the 700/600 MHz bands. So your G955FD will work flawlessly on 3G/4G MetroPCS network.
You can use LTE Discovery app from Google play store to check your band online while using your mobile. You get the band number on the Notification bar real time.

Thank you for this very detailed post! I do have one more question though. Do I need to flash any CSC? It seems like I was getting much better connection on my Nexus 6P than I am on this phone right now.
I'm running Renovate ICE 14.1 right now and I'm wondering if its possible to flash Snapdragon CSC on Exynos variants. I have tried it before on completely stock rom with no luck, but I have seen people say its okay to flash Snapdragon CSC on the Exynos variant of this device. Once again I really appreciate all this information <3
