I have an open, in use HD10 that I use only mounted on my wall as a home automation dashboard. So for that its fine. But with the Lineage 12.1 rom its VERY laggy/slow.
Is the 8th gen (2019) HD10 a lot faster?
I have another sealed new 7th gen but thinking I may sell it and get something else... 8th gen or even cheap Samsung TabA.
thx for the input!

The 2gb of ram is a bit too stingy, so that's probably the biggest bottleneck.
Is the HD8 suitable for watching netflix and disney?
So I'm starting to look for a replacement for my old Galaxy s3 tablet and the pricing for the HD8 is hard to argue with. I really only want this for watching videos when I'm on the treadmill...is this tablet suitable for this? I've seen very mixed reviews on the web.

The HD8 is perfect for this. It's not the fastest tablet in the world but it's also not super laggy.

For multicore it is 65% faster, but single core is only an improvement of 16%
Would I get in trouble linking to a review of the HD10 Gen 9/2019 that compares it with the previous generation? It has GeekBench, 3D Mark, and AnTuTu scores. I didn't make the video.

Physical size is identical but button placement may differ. Check HD10 cases on Amazon to verify fit.
Size and button placement is the same for the 2017 and 2019 Fire HD 10, so the same cases will fit both.
An important difference between 2017 and 2019 is the Fire OS version. The 2017 model is still currently on Fire OS 5, which is based on Android 5. I'm starting to see some apps that don't work because they require a newer Android version. The 2019 model is currently on Fire OS 7, which is based on Android 9.
Got my case yesterday. The label shows the same case fits both 2017 and 2019 Fire HD 10. It seems the main physical difference is the USB-C vs MicroUSB ports.

Welcome Back... We'll need a user section on these over at Slatedroid like we setup for the ZT-180... I believe that this is a 'Malata SMB-A1002' tablet based at least on what comparison we can see from FC pictures... It' seems to match up with similar specs as the 'Advent Vega' tablet so based on some vodeo reviews of that similar tablet this should be a screamer!

well, let's hope this one or a clone will be available for around 299.
That would be a ipad killer.
considering the price of 199 for the A10, the A10T might be available elsewhere for at least 350.
let's wait and see .
Maybe the first post can contain the hardware compatible models?

Well, the ZT-180 was also known as ePad, Apad (A10?) en probably other names.
It would be interesting to have all the variations here, so we spot the most affordable one .

Flat Computing A10T review
A10t Review
I have been using the A10t (engineering model) for over 1 week. Following are my thoughts:
1. This unit is extremely fast. I played a DVD quality movie (full screen), and rotated the tablet, while the vid was playing. It didn't miss a beat.
2. Zooming in/out is extremely smooth and fast.
3. Wifi works great.
4. The display is unreal, (GREAT), beats the ipad
I ran this next to an Ipad, there is no comparison, This IS an Ipad KILLER!!!
It has no drawbacks, that I can find, except posibly the weight, but this is a 10" screen.
This review is short and sweet
I will write a full review in the very near future.
This is NOT vaporware. Those of you that are thinking about cancelling your order, should thing not once, twice, but thrice, before cancelling.
Remember, I am testing an engineering version of this tablet, ROMs are still being worked on. If it works this well in the engineering model, I can't wait to get the
production unit that I ordered.
hi,
So you can confirm it runs Android 2.2 and has flash 10.x running?
I bought the iPad which has blown away my zt-180.
I would not call it an iPad killer untill I see a similar great app stack is developped for Android that uses the screen size properly.
Sounds great, I will definitely check it out.
Please keep us informed!
This page shows the current models :
http://www.androidpads.com/2010/09/...-interpad-hanspree-snappiness-for-around-400/
Did anyone test one yet?
I wonder if battery life is correct, if external gps can be used, 3G dongle and if it is flashable?
Good value for money imho.
I am missing a front camera only.
HI all, how's everyone? not been back for some time,
I need some help from you guys if possible.
I want a tablet, my partner has an ipad mini, I like it, long battery life, clear and cool to the touch, (ie don't get too warm on long usage)
Can anyone recommend me something?
I have made my own (very brief short list)
Lenovo Yoga
Xiaomi Mipad,
Pipo P8
Fire 7.7
My criteria is this,
7.9-8.9 inch screen
4:3 format.
stable Os,
ideally full android, so not sure if the fire can be rooted.
quad core, and can hold its own when running any intense apps.
won't get too hot when on long usage.
long battery life,
if possible 2Gb ram,
if no MMC expansion then need at least 32Gb
no more than £200, and as per my list, will look into oversea models
I do like the nexus 9, but out of my budget any other suggestions.

Mipad best bang for buck, infact, the price and the specs you get are bloody brilliant! Really really great value, I don't know how Xiaomi get away with it
Its about £230 (some places £180 but + import tax could be more, I say use EBay because you have buyer protection etc) I'm looking into buying the Mipad myself, (I currently have an LG G Pad, heavily mod'd)
The only downside (which is to be expected) is the OS on the Mipad MIUI (on Xiaomi phones Mi2 Mi3 Mi4 its great, but on thus Mipad its half finished, buggy etc.)
But hey I enjoy a challenge

Lenovo Yoga 8 is very good. Quad-Core, Android 4.2 Operating System, Battery Life – Up to 18 Hours, but if you want to play games with a higher experience, I would recommend you another game tablet (JXD S7800B), 7.0 inches, quad core.

I actually would recommend you the iPad Mini 3, because it's almost matching all your requirements except that it is iOS.
Apple will really ensure that you're requirements will be finished.!

For an EBook type of device I would suggest the Tesco Hudl 2
I know what your thinking.... No way dude!!
But I was surprised at how good this piece of kit is for like £120.
Quad core, Intel, full HD, the casing around the tablet isn't pretty but its great specs for the price.

Not all quad core is good.this machine uses MTK8382 which is a very slow quad core machine.
And It's pretty Energy Hungry,It only could go on up to 10-12Hr.
Also RK3188?No please.A Allwinner A31 could win the RK3188...
2,I would not like to suggest the lenovo one is the warranty service. If your machine have something and you take it to the service centre, the day it fixed you will get "another machine".
^What i mean,A more worse machine.
Asus HD8 is a good choice for you:
- Cheap
- Long batery
Not trying to nitpick here, but the device info on the main page for the HD 8 and HD 10 forum is a bit outdated (and misleading).
The Amazon Fire HD 8 and HD 10 are two mid-range tablets, running on Amazon's Fire OS 5, which is based on Android Lollipop. Both have a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 1280 x 800 display (either 8" or 10.1"), 5MP rear camera, 720p front camera, microSD support and stereo speakers with Dolby audio. The Fire HD 8 comes with either 8GB or 16GB internal storage, while the Fire HD 10 has the option of either 16GB or 32GB.

Hi guys,
Here my detailed review of the Xiaomi 12 - probably the best small (and hot) phone for 2022.
Are you happy with this small beast of a phone? I am all good - love the form factor, camera and performance and I dont like... how the phone deals with heat: )
Not that this affects me, but ... 1 out of 3 3dMark benches will fail due to overheat + it gets really hot when gaming for more than 30 min. Is Samsung responsible since they produced the 8GEN1? We will never know.
Nice review, very detailed thanks.
Has there been any improvements on the heat issue with updates?
U can optimize GPU for more battery, more speed , and a little bit cooler

Nope D:
Motorola / Realme flagships deal extremely well with the same processors, and they are budget brands, but yeah Samsung's Snapdragon gen1 is a stove, lets hope for TSMC Gen 2 to continue after Gen 1+
I've read a few reviews on P11 Pro G2, including the latest one on XDA. Can anyone tell me if the build quality (as well as smooth operation) of this device is worse than the first generation? Because that's what I got from the review (and also from inspecting psref.lenovo.com regarding the case material).
With the first generation, my impression was "almost like iPad" for both quality of the materials and smoothness of operations.
Personally I think the best one of the series is the "Lenovo P11 Pro TB-J716F". It's got a aluminium case all round, touch as nails... 5.8mm thickness, only 485g, sd870 CPU, UFC 3.1 storage... Dual 8mpnfront cam, dual 13/5 rear cam. Atmos Dolby quad speakers.... It's a pretty sweet package.
I have both
The build is identical
Similar speakers and sound quality
However,...
Gen 1 has fingerprint scanner while gen 2 doesn't
Gen 2 has slightly better display but gen 1 display is a bit bigger
Gen 1 is slightly thinner
Gen 1 stays at R while gen 2 will get T

Hey thanks for this. I have a gen 1 however it has an awful black crush issue in low brightness settings in dark rooms, and it kills dark greys. Do you experience a similar problem with your gen 2? I would like to recommend a Gen 2 to someone
I don't think mine has that issue on both.
I did a test
1. set both on dark
2. open YouTube app
3. set brightness to minimum
4. turn room light to low
The grey part looks normal
